Hopefully this switch last more than five years, especially at this price. Crazy expensive, but had to replace an existing one that went bad due to of all things, sugar ants taking up a home within the switch.

Did the job of fitting into the other maestros and working with the elv dimmer only led chandelier. Super expensive, and not as responsive as some of the lesser maestros. Happy that it existed for the reqs though

Flawless overpriced product, terrible shipping exp
Unfortunately this is the only Lutron product that will work with my LED lights. The Dimmer is overpriced for what it does. However it does work flawlessly. Home Depot shipping leaves much to be desired. Placed the order was given a time approx 1 week out, then the date kept shifting, and shifting, and shifting. Total time from Order to when I received the switch 5 weeks.

I needed a dimmer for a low voltage (transformer) powering some LED puck lights in a cabinet. I first tried another brand that claimed to be compatible with ELV applications. That dimmer caused the lights to flicker continuously at all dimmer settings. I replaced it with this one and it works great! I suppose you sometimes get what you pay for.

This was supposed to replace exactly an older dimmer switch. It could nut be installed even by a licensed electrician. The wiring was different than the older switch. The electrician bought a much cheaper dimmer switch which he could easily install.. I had to pay the electrician $100 for his time attempting unsuccessfully to install this switch.

The important thing to note about this dimmer is that it requires a neutral wire connection in addition to the ground and two power supply wires. Lutron includes a jumper wire and connector to make the job easier. It is easy to miss all the programmable features, but it is worth looking them up on the Lutron website: delayed dimming, slow or fast lighting or dimming, turning the LED night lights on or off, and so forth. Lutron technical support is excellent and speedy if anyone runs into problem. Although this dimmer is not as easy to install as the C-L (Compact fluorescent/LED) dimmers, it works just as well when the lighting uses low voltage transformers for 12V to 120V conversion.

This ELVD dimmer, while expensive, worked to eliminate all buzzing from newly installed Envirolite Easy-Up LED recessed lights. We tried several non-ELVD dimmers, including Lutron’s Maestro 150W dimmer, but we were not able to eliminate buzzing in several instances. This dimmer worked.

The product did not meet expectations. The manufacturer indicated that it should resolve a ghosting issue with a new light fixture, however, it did not so I returned this switch for a refund.

Easy to install and works with the low voltage light model I have, as listed on Maestro. Enjoy how can set the dim level with ease and it will turn back to the last setting when you turn it back on. Double check with the Maestro website to insure you get the right model switch to work with your low voltage light before buying.

Dynamite Dimmer
I Needed to replace our current dimmer because it stopped working. It was put in 5 years ago. I am a bit surprised it didn't last longer than 5 years for being such a pricey dimmer. However, it's in now and with one slight touch it lights or dims even smoother than the original dimmer did. We are very happy with it.
Home Depot had the best price for it online although it needed to be special ordered. It's not an easy item to locate unless perhaps from a lighting store. In that case, it's generally even more $$.
