Im not pleased with product info. I got it sent to my store, picked it up, took it home only to find its only use is for drill presses ONLY! I needed to use on a portable drill.

Tried cutting a 3.5 inch whole with the cutter. My impression is that the cutter is unbalanced and very blunt and aggressive in its cutting, which is a bad combination. The aggressive cut is such that any deviation from absolute vertical will cause the cutting blade to dig in... not easy to use!

Only works well on very thin products. Not as stated in description "Use in all woods, wood composites, plastics and soft metals". Needs to run slower that 1000 rpm in drill press.

The blade just burned did not cut through cement board

Worked well for cutting a nonstandard hole in plywood.

Aa the best! Very cool and handy hole cutter. Stock it in HD stores. Home Depot is my fav store x 7. I visit HD frequently. One minus for at least the1806 East Gun Hill Rd location in da Bronx, NYC -- the guys who hangout steps from the exits soliciting shoppers. harassed and scared my wife who was sitting in the car waiting while I was picking up a few items. This harassing situation is getting out of hand, Please address this before there is an unpleasant incident.

Good for the price. It does the job thoughI had a real hard time removing the blade to reverse it. It was burred and stuck in the holder.

Wonderful tool for making wheels for toys and cutting holes in wood. Would be even better if you could purchase replacement cutters, as sharpening is limited. Odd size tool blank.

It works just not well. Once the blade gets deep into a piece it tends to jam. I have to turn the piece over and cut from both sides. This is 5/8” thick wood. Use a slow speed on your drill press and take it easy on the down pressure. But a diamond honing card to sharpen the cutter every hole or two

The balance is not good.

The product works 'ok'. The problem I had with the cutter when I used it was that the drill bit at the center was not perfectly straight. This meant that when the outside cutter was cutting into material there was a 'wobble' at the cutter which made a wider cut that was not yielding a smooth hole. This also made for a difficult time when I tried to cut some plexiglass due to the slightly 'non-circle cut' and caused the cutter to grab the material and also yielded a non-smooth surface. I think replacing the center drill bit with a straighter bit would provide better results. If anyone knows where I could find such a bit, please comment on where I might go to get one.

Excellent circle cutter for the money and sturdier than most. Only criticism is that it could have arrived a little sharper.

Found a tool to be very handy

Works very well to cut circles, inside or outside.

Works well on 1/2" plywood. Just make sure to adjust the belt on your drill press so it turns at its lowest speed.

I really like the hole quality of the Mibro hole cutter compared to a typical hole saw.Also I love the versatility of the Mibro adjustable feature. I can set up any hole diameter desired. No more fixed holes sizes

The tool did the job, but with my adjustments. The cutter locking set screw failed to hold after a couple of cuts (one sitting), but by exchanging if for the other set screw and MAKING SURE it is absolutely, total strength locked down, the cutter held the line through hardwood.Not for commercial use, but quite adequate for the once-in-a-while special hole need.for the price, I'd purchase again.

I purchased this to make wheels for toy trucks. The crossbar does not fit snugly into the main shaft. The result is that the outside cutter does not cut parallel to the center bit. This creates a slightly tapered wheel/hole. (Note: I was able to put two wheels together on the drill press afterwards and sanded down the high sides to make the edges perpendicular thus fixing the taper.) If precision is not important, then this bit is fine, otherwise it would be better to spend more money from a woodworking supply retailer.
