We used the stones for our entry way project, We bought ~40 bags @$10.95 each. We spent too much on the materials and labor. The product is not as described on the package. Inaccurate and misleading.
1)Found Ants in several bags
2) Very oily and sticky residue, could not clean to remove
3}Coverage stated is not accurate
3) Stones remained dirty and Grey after a few days
Nice surprise of beautiful quartz veining in the black stones. Large, heavy stones range from shooter marble to avocado size.
Ordered one bag to verify size. Unfortunately, the price makes using this for my project prohibitive. Used this one bag to cat proof two large potted plumeria. The cats can't move these stones!
Don't expect a lot of coverage, as others have said. I bought these to do my own river rock floor in the mud room. It was small, about 7 long by 4 feet deep-ish. I ended up using six bags to cover the area (all single-laid onto thin set). I had a good bit left over because not all of the rocks were flat enough to be good for flooring, which is fine because that's not what they are bill as. Look nice. I'd call it more of a blackish gray than black, don't expect opal. I've included a photo of the job halfway through, sans grout, so you can see the color.
Pros: Durable, Easy to Clean, Easy to Install, Good Shape
my landscape design called for a line of river-rocks from the dolphin-fountain to the drain-hole. The river-rocks that I could found in stores are rather dull-looking. I ordered 10 bags of this river-rock, sight-unseen, based on the picture only. I'm quite surprised by how great the rocks look. They have some shine, polished look and varied-size.
Pros: Vibrant Color, Easy to Install, Stylish, Great Quality, Good Shape
