no brainer here. Makita makes the best power tools at Home Depot had the lowest price by far. Couldn’t be happier with this purchase!

X lock is relatively new, so certain styles of disc and accessories aren't available yet, but Bosch (the inventor of the system) and Makita (who license it) are just getting started. Disc change goes from minutes to seconds, and toolless adjustable guard change is just as fast. I had the dustless concrete cutting/Tuck point guard (191G05-4) on and a disc clicked in in less than 30 seconds, and that included opening the guard to accept the disc. The discs eject satisfyingly via top lever.

It is exactly what I wanted and need at a great price.

A great addition to my power tools. Feels like my corded angle grinder.

Disappointed that this wasn't variable speed as touted in specifications ~ Otherwise good!

A good coworker of mine needed to borrow my grinder for a bit and I showed him the features on how to work it and such. The whole time as I'm explaining. He is just amazed by the X-Lock wheels. Fell in love with my tool. Later returns my tool, "thats some machinery!" with a smile on his face. I love this tool, barely used it on my project car and now using it more on the construction site. I get compliments all around and am still sold by makita!

Not easy to use, very powerful

Will have to exchange this angle grinder. Having difficulty with X-lock at first and now it automatically shuts off. Recharge retest for a couple weeks check defaults. If power cuts off during projects exchange tool it might be something wrong with the tools and or batteries. Double checking products before returning items and make notes. I am a proud Makita owner however it just maybe factory defaults. Nevertheless exchange for similar Makita tools 2 and 3 years warranty purchased luckily additionally to factory warranty helps.

I was expecting a Cadillac,but I must say I received a Rolls Royce.it is precise. it is predictable.it will obey your command.it stops in a second.it is a balance tool with no sign of vibration.i think Bosch invented the X lock, makita perfected it.it is one of the best tools I ever had.you cant go wrong it.

All discs available dont know why people say they cant get them and cheaper than regular most online suppliers

Perfect. X-lock is amazing and should be the standard for all grinders.

This is the first grinder I’ve ever had or used. I was completely blown away by its performance and ease of use. The power is overwhelming. The disks are easy to attach and also Bosch discs fit the grinder.

From a performance standpoint it was reallly nice. However it is close to impossible to find the blades for the x lock system so it’s pretty much useless to Metz Very unfortunate I will be returning this item.

Outstanding Makita quality but...............x-lock cut-off discs, flap discs, and grinding wheels are UNAFFORDABLE AND HARD TO FIND! Maybe they will catch on an be available as aftermarket consumables but for now hold off on the x-lock. I should have checked into it but then the grinder was free with my purchase. I can see why now.
