Best metal cutting saw I ever used!!!

This saw is awesome! It cuts 1/4" thick steel angle iron faster than 16ga tubing. The carbide blade features doubled up teath where the second tooth controls the depth of each tooths cut like the rakers on a chain saw. The base is cast, and so is the fence There is a lever on the side to release the fence which has an adjustable angle pointer. The angle adjustment is very repeatable. Way faster and better then the Allen bolts on competing saws. You can take a thin slice off the end of a tube. Try that with an abraisive saw. The blade that comes with it is unique and works really well. I ordered this saw from Home Depot on line. The shipping was free, and it was delivered in 2 days. I am very impressed with this saw, I think it is the best one out there, and the shipping was super fast.

I guess I need to Read Better, it's a 12'' saw! Not a 14" like all others which means blades are hard to find with basically very little choices. Buy A 14" Saw "Dewalt" is the best one I've used I have wore out about 6 of these made by different manufacturers in the last 15 years the Dewalt dw872 lasted the longest even though it looks to be cheaper built. This saw works as it should brand new, I didn't realize blade diffidence till it was time to change it!! I'll write another review in a year or when this no longer works!

Simply put, I love this thing. No more worries about burning down the shop, crooked cuts, or 5 minute cuts. This saw cuts steel and aluminum almost like it was wood. I could not believe how quickly it cuts. The accuracy is excellent. My first two cuts were 2” mild steel pipe. I marked each piece with a soapstone and the pipes were exactly the same length when done. Wish I’d heard about these years ago. Highly recommend, and yes, I would buy again. I may come back and give it five stars after I use it a bit more. So far so good. And the Saw was delivered a day ahead of schedule.

The Makita 15 amp 12 inch corded metal cutting chop saw was as good as I expected a Makita product to be. The only issue I had was the factory marks for the fence. It is not square. Simple solution was to set it with a square. Other than that it is a very good fence and clamp setup. I would highly recommend it even though it is more expensive than many others it is worth the price. I own several Makita peer tools that have lasted an d continue to perform.

Well made and powerful, which means items must be securely clamped, if not the blade will catch causing damage to the item and cutting blade and possibly hurt you. Read the manual and you'll be safe.

Darn good saw i use it everyday in my welding shop.cuts true much better than a chopsaw. Only thing I have ran into was I have to take the clamping device off to cut 4+4 at a 45 degree angle

This thing is awesome, cuts through steel like butter with 90% less dust to clean up than an abrasive disc. You’re cleaning up metal shavings not dust!

Our metals department like this saw for small piece work so much they want another one. Cuts fast and clean.

Bought this to cut drill pipe for fencing. Cuts straight and smooth. Way better than abrasive disk chop saws because you don’t have to change blades after every 5th cut. Really sturdy and well made. Buying another to give to my dad.
