The choice in 3-foot fixtures is very limited, so I was glad to find this one. It replaces a 50-years-old fluorescent fixture, hidden behind a fascia, that was over our kitchen sink. Needless to say there is absolutely no comparison in the build quality of the two fixtures, but the flimsier Metalux does the job. Easy to install, with lots of possible knock-outs. We're using it with a LED bulb and there is none of the buzzing common to fluorescent fixtures.
