Christmas came early ... I loved Home Depot & Milwaukee, but now I love them more. Thanks!!! I bought this as The Buy of the Day. I expected, as the Product Overview states, '(2) 48-11-2401 M12 REDLITHIUM batteries'; which are the 1.5A. Instead it came with (2) 48-11-2420; which are the 2.0A (see pic). I already have a couple 2.0's, and they make Milwaukee tools more awesome. I have a corded multi-tool (Dremel) and a battery powered drill. I chose this combo to get rid of my last cord and for the light on the drill. The night before I bought this, I was out hanging lights; with the time change, it got dark before I was done. I wished I had a lighted screw driver/drill ... Santa listened

I have an electric cord powered multi-tool & I tell you, it's no fun laying out an extension cord to access hard to reach areas, around my house. This Milwaukee M12 battery powered multi-tool has given me the same power & performance as my corded multi-tool. This multi-tool includes a sawing/cutting blade that cut through a 2" x 2" section of cedar stock in seconds, useing #12 speed setting. The multi-tool has 11 speed settings ranging from 2 - 12. I removed the sawing blade & installed the sanding backing pad & attached a #60 grit sanding disc. I left the power setting at #12 & proceeded to sand white paint off a section of wood stock. It took seconds to remove the white paint, in the area tested. The tool includes 5 sanding discs, including grits# 60, 80, 120 & 240. The multi-tool has a fuel gauge that shows how much power is left in the battery. The set comes with two batteries, one for the multi-tool & one for the drill. I was using the multi-tool out side, sanding step railings, when I ran low on battery power. I replaced the battery with the battery from the drill, to continue working. I immediately inserted the first battery into the included charger. A complete re-charge of the battery, took only minutes, so I could continue the job, till finished. The body of the multi-tool is well balanced & light weight. A rubberized ribbed coating provided a solid grip, while using the tool. The tool also comes with an adapter, that installs on the head, so if needed, I could use accessories from another manufacturer. The on/off switch is on top of the tool for quick, safe control. The M12 battery powered drill is very powerful. I had no problem drilling a 1/2" Dia. hole in a 2" thick x 6" wide section of Spruce stock. This compact drill, with bit installed, easily fit between 16" on center house framing studs. It's perfect balance & ergonomic design, with the rubberized ribbed coating, made it very comfortable in my hand, anti slip & gave me maximum control. The torque selector, located right behind the keyless chuck, clicks off 19 separate torque settings. I rotated the keyless chuck in, to hold the bit & then the chuck snap locked the bit securely in place. I quickly went from slow to fast drilling speeds with the speed selector, on top of the drill body. An LED light, above the trigger, lit up the area being drilled & the light stayed on for 15 seconds after I stopped drilling, so I could review my work. This drill also has a fuel gauge for remaining battery power & a clip to hang the drill from my tool belt. The set includes a heavy duty carry bag, with zipper & two handles. For accessories, it has six pockets sewn on the outside & two pockets sewn on the inside, of the carry bag. These are heavy duty highest quality tools!

Very impressive battery powered combo set. Both the Milwaukee drill/driver and the multi-tool are the perfect size for tight spots without compromise on power. Multi-tool I was really impressed with the multi-tool - it oscillates as good as a full size corded tool. It did very well with pad sanding of varnish/stain finish on hard maple. The variable speed is a great feature allowing better control of both detail sanding and detail cutting. Likes: - smaller tool size, cordless (portability) - power and battery life - both are great. I got roughly an hour of sanding on one battery - variable speed adjustment conveniently located at the hand grip - battery level meter right on the tool Dislikes: - tool changes. Have to use an allen wrench (included) to change between tools (cutting blades and sanding pad). Can't really expect a tool-less system and keep the tool compact - no place to store the allen wrench on the tool. There is good reason for this since it would likely vibrate out of the tool but it is a pain to keep hunting for the wrench every time you need to switch tools - battery compartment is snug - almost too snug for inserting/removing the battery Drill/Driver: A powerful driver for its size. It drove 3 inch deck screws in 2 X 4 just as good as a full sized drill. A real 3/8 inch keyless drill chuck makes this tool a great drill too. It has a two speed selection for either torque or speed. The pocket clip is nice but it is pretty stout and hard to clip on a belt or pocket, but once it is clipped it does stay in place. Likes: - compact size, great to driving screws in tight enclosures - 2 speed gear box with variable speed for both. Smooth trigger operation and response - bright light - although the keyless chuck does partially obstruct the beam of the light, however, it does put out a good bright light Dislikes: - pocket clip doesn't work the way I need it too, but once I get it clipped it stays in place. Even coming down a step ladder The entire combo kit is great with the included tool bag, 2) lithium batteries and the charger. Batteries last longer than I would expect for such a compact size and the recharge time is less than an hour.

Best I can think of is product design people at Milwaukee tool sure are doing one great job on tool. Hearing great things and this set is another prime reason for this trend. Had not tried a multi-tool before and wanted to, well have to say is just outstanding tool, have a triangle sander and this one beats it buy quite a bid with multi speed, then you change to the cutting blade which does a great job for at least around the house, I was used to my rotozip for cutting for boxes in kitchen cabinets and this equals that job. The drill driver is just great and sure will do a wonderful job around the house as is light weight and compact, will still use my M18 Fuel for construction job but the M12 is best for home use. I love my tool set. I'm 65 years old and needed something lighter in weight than our standard drill and impact wrench. Many years on crutches, wheelchair and walker, plus all farm related things, and carpal tunnel, have worn my hands out. I love this set as it's lighter and smaller to fit my hands. Thanks Milwaukee for finally making something that works great for females!!

This is a great kit for me, as it has all the tools I require and are light weight very capable and easy to carry around

Getting up in age, but not in desire to get some work done. This smaller size tool allows me to gain access to smaller areas, but also the weight of working overhead gets easier with this lighter and smaller tool. The power is all there......very happy with purchase

First set I’ve owned and since the purchase I’ve been using them alot and it is great. I’m a DIY guy and the size of these are perfect for spaces hard to get into. I will keep the Milwaukee name in my tool supply from here on in.

Great set at a great price. The drill driver lacks a bit of torque when removing bolts, but this can be expected with a 12v tool. Other than that, my only critique would be that Home Depot ships the tool in the red Milwaukee box from the factory, so be aware. Delivery guy left package on the front porch and didnt ring the bell. Milwaukee tools can be a tempting treat for porch pirates. HD should ship in a plain box for added security.

Really good price quality

Both tools are very lightweight and powerful enough for tough jobs. Having two batteries is especially useful; quick charge is also a plus.

Milwakee should have provided a bit better battery than the one included in the kit. Dies a bit soon.

This is my second drill and I really like the power and weight for this 12 volt. First time I used the multi-tool and was pretty impressed with tool.

I really bought this kit for the multitool. I've used it once and it runs extremely hot. I will probably return it. I also don't like the allen wrench tool for changing blades.

Great kit to keep in the trunk of my car....as I always seem to be fixing things away from home for friends....and they never seem to have a drill.
