Poor design
The end kept rolling over. It wouldn’t even stand out 3ft without rolling over and going limp. It made measuring anything very difficult.

I really like the long reach, wide blade and overall...
I really like the long reach, wide blade and overall size but the end piece seems to be a little heavy so when you reach out a long distance it tries to twist and bend the tape sideways which is a real pain. Other than that it is excellent

Does NOT have 17' reach.
It's a nice tape measure, but it breaks at the exact same 11' that my Stanley FatMax 30' does, so it looses a star for lying about length (who doesn't?). It also has a lot of bow to it -to make it try and reach 17' - but the tape being printed on both sides is really helpful and will probably be seen on other tapes soon. the finger notch on the bottom is useful for controlling the return and not loosening the hook.

The 17 ft reach was over exaggerated. It only goes out about 12 ft before snapping and going down and the tip of tape measure is pretty big to be able to fit in tight corners
