The saw blade is a nice thick one. It has 7 TPI and is 9” long. Because it is made with cast iron, it has a longer life span than the regular ones. When I compare it to the saw blade that I have been using, I can really see the difference in thickness of this one so I know it is stronger. It has nitrus carbide on the blade. It is made in the USA. A good tool to have available for your reciprocating saw.

The Milwaukee 9 inch, 7TPI torch nitrus carbide teeth metal sawzall saw blade Is a very aggressive blade. I used it to cut pie shaped cut-cuts on both ends of 4- 2x2 tubes which will be used as brackets under a trailer to carry loading ramps. The cutouts allowed me to bend both ends 90 degrees to the tube, which will now be welded. Since I don't have a metal cutting band saw, the sawzall worked very well to make the cuts.Because of the blade's wider kerf, the blade didn't whip and bind like the standard sawzall blade.

These Milwaukee SAWZALL® TORCH™ with NITRUS CARBIDE™ Blades are New for March of 2020. These blades are designed for cutting Cast Iron, and other thick metals like Black Pipe, Angle Iron, and Rebar to name a few. They can take a beating without snapping or breaking like many of the foreign made blades. These blades are made right here in the USA in Milwaukee Tools Greenwood Mississippi plant (See Photo). They cut faster, and last longer than any blades I’ve ever used. The blade incorporates a universal 1/2 inch tang that will fit just about any reciprocal saw from the old saws that used set screws to hold the blade, to the newer quick release designs. I used this blade in my 25 year old Milwaukee Sawzall Reciprocating Saw without any problems. The tip of the blade is blunt, not pointed (See Photo). It will deflect off objects it hits, and not stab into them. It has 7 TPI (Tooth Per Inch) and is 9 inches in length, great for cutting out old cast iron sewer pipe. You need to have these blades available when you need them, so pick some up so you will have them in your tool box available right when you need them. Always wear a respirator mask when cutting cast iron. Cast iron dust is extremely dangerous when inhaled into your lungs. Once you use Milwaukee blades, you will wonder why you ever tried to save a few bucks on those cheaper blades.

Tough blades that are capable of getting through cast iron and thick metal quite easily. I used it on an older drain pipe that was buried and it did great. I also tried it on a couple nails that I needed to cut and they worked through them with ease. The carbide teeth are long lasting, showing little signs of wear after a couple major cut jobs. The value of the 3 pack is great for homeowners and contractors alike. Great for demo, plumbing or drainage projects where you need a tough blade.

I have an old Jeep that the tow hitch was rusted off on one side only, so I decided to cut the other side but the blades I had was only scratching the surface. Went to THD site to see what my local store had in stock. After reading the reviews I picked up to give them a try. I was quite surprised that it cut so fast, I didn’t put a stop watch on it but it couldn’t have taken more than 45 seconds. I was reluctant to spend this amount of money, but I’m glad I did. I don’t think I’ll have to purchase any metal cutting blades for some time. You can buy just 1 or a 3 pack and a 5 pack.

These are my new favorite blades. I have cut old oilfield pipe, angle iron, and roll cage tubing. If you cut with a slow blade speed and use cutting oil the blades last for a long time compared to standard sawzall blades. Once the blades are starting to wear out for use on metal I save them for cutting roots covered in soil or sometimes still partially buried. I have removed a few stubborn tree stumps along my driveway and I was finally able to repair the hole one tree made so I can drive up to my garage again.

Good product, cuts fast with little effort. Seems to have very little effort while in action that guarantees a nice straight cut. The end result is less prep after the cut is finished, like deburring in the normal sense. The blades in general have nice sharp teeth that adds to their longevity. I found the packaging a bit burdensome to open and could be a little less intense.

Another specialized blade for the ubiquitous reciprocating saw, the “Torch Nitrus Carbide” blade from Milwaukee will not disappoint! This 9 inch, 7 TPI blade quickly cuts through the workpiece while leaving a clean cut and little wear to the teeth of the blade. While I did not have any cast iron to try them on (the manufacturer claims three times the life of a standard carbide blade in cast iron), when used to cut trio of items (formed steel channel-0.120 in. thickness, #4 rebar and a 2 inch steel tube with 0.168 in. wall thickness)-see photos, the cuts were effected quickly and cleanly. Cutting through the rebar took less than 3 seconds per cut! Another good addition to the cutting inventory.

The MILWAUKEE 9 IN. 7 TPI TORCH NITRUS CARBIDE TEETH METAL CUTTING SAWZALL RECIPROCATING SAW BLADE is a nice addition to my sawzall kit. I chose this product to see how it will perform when needed. I take my sawzall kit to the dirt track for needed immediate repairs if for any reason we have minor damage. I can just tell by looking at the durability of the blade that I feel it will outperform a standard sawzall blade. You can't go wrong with Milwaukee products!!

Great tough blades and a good value at a pack of three. The blade did a great job cutting through some old cast-iron pipe. Went right through with good control and the cut went pretty straight. The blade itself is pretty thick in the carbide teeth have some sharp aggressive bite. I also cut up an old steel antenna and some other stuff I was throwing out. I definitely recommend the 9 inch one over the 6 inch one if you’re cutting some big diameter piping because cast-iron pipes have rather large diameters on the outside but the 6” cuts just as good but might not be enough for a one sided pass. The teeth on the blade sure do last and I’m still on the first one of the pack of three. I’ll definitely be using Milwaukee blades more often.

Really good blades. I’m use to using Diablo but these new milwaukee blades are definitely up there. I cut through galvanized steel and some really old cast iron pipe. Definitely got the job done and for the cast iron it definitely cut but it was a large diameter pipe so I had to use the longer blade. But these blades are definitely wreckers. The life of the blade holds up pretty good and so far I’m still on the first one. The carbide teeth are still there and feel pretty sharp. I literally cut through cast iron in a confined space with the fuel hackzall. It’s cut through every metal I’ve used it so far for. Definitely recommend it better it with the sawzall so control is better because the teeth have some serious bite.

The 9-inch Torch Nitrus Saw Blade (made by Milwaukee), is a bit pricey; however, if you need to cut thick heavy metal, the investment is well worth the cost. I have a lot of scrap machinery and metal here on the farm and a lot of projects to do (this was used on a honey bee stand project). The metal was thick, old, and rusty, yet the nitrus carbide blade had no problem making a clean straight cut. Granted, it was not a fast cut, but still, I had no issues with the Sawzall cutting all the way through. I cut several pieces from the old hay cutter and inspected the blade at the end. I was pleasantly surprised that it showed little or no wear to the cutting teeth. This Milwaukee (Torch) Metal Cutting blade will clearly be my go-to blade for future farm projects requiring metal cuts.

I have long liked Milwaukee's saw blades and this one is no exception. It is for cast iron and thick metal. I got these for cutting out cast iron tubs because in the past I have needed one but not had it. These blades are durable and you get a long of bang for your buck. I like to keep these on hand for whenever the need arises, you can depend on these to get you through the job.

After trying out milwaukee carbide blades 2 years ago for some metal cutting I have to say I was very impressed with the cutting speed and blade longevity over their standard blades and stocked up on my commonly used sizes. Now here comes the Nitrus. I gave it a try and all I can say is WOW! The speed of cut and blade strength are phenomenal. I use a dewalt 10 amp corded recip saw for my heavy duty cutting and put this new blade through the paces. I cut through an old scrap jack I had. It cut the 1.25" thick piston (see pics) in 21 seconds. I then cut through the saddle section with some odd angled pieces (another pic) in 29 seconds. I then decided to see how it handled wood since most metal specific blades are horrible in wood. I cut up some old fencing I had lying around, and while not as fast as a wood blade, it still cut with ease. After cutting i there was no noticable damage or wear to the blade. I will definitely be using these blades from now on whenever I have a metal cutting project.

These blades are truly engineered to cut fast. I filmed a short video of myself cutting 2 inch unistrut. These Nitrus blades went through in 5 seconds. It probably would have cut a second faster had I secured it better. With the factory closest to me shut down to Covid-19, I can't compare it against others but I already know. These are the fastest, and smoothest cutting blades I have ever used.

Heavy Duty Sawzall Blades - at 7 Teeth per inch these are designed for thick metal. Blades are fully coated with what looks a epoxy or powder paint, this should prevent them from premature rust out. They are about 0.070 with a very narrow kerf, the blades are a solid piece. That is the teeth are not welded on. Work well on angle iron and black pipe, smooth cuts. They marked for cast iron, I have not needed to cut that yet.

These blades cut metal that standard metal blades will not touch. However, they are pretty expensive. You might want to stop by the tool rental department first to see what they recommend. A rental might be cheaper or more appropriate depending on your application. On soft steel I couldn't tell the different between these blades and my standard metal blades. I sacrificed a spare hardened steel wrench as a test. After 38 seconds, the Torch blades severed the wrench and the teeth still looked good as new. After 38 seconds my standard metal blades barely scratched the wrench and the teeth did not look good. I received these MILWAUKEE 9 IN. 7 TPI TORCH NITRUS CARBIDE TEETH METAL CUTTING SAWZALL RECIPROCATING SAW BLADE (3-PACK) for free to write this review.

Cuts hardened steel when normal metal blades don't. The name "Torch" implies some serious cutting power. It makes me think of a cutting torch. Maybe not quite that good but they are still pretty good. I compared the cutting ability to a standard metal blade. On soft metals like a bolt, I really could not tell the difference. However, I tried cutting up an old hardened still wrench. The torch blade made it through in 38 seconds. My metal blade after 38 seconds barely scratched the wrench and the teeth were in pretty bad shape. The Torch teeth still looked pretty good after tearing through the hardened steel. I received these amazing MILWAUKEE 6 IN. 7 TPI TORCH NITRUS CARBIDE TEETH METAL CUTTING SAWZALL RECIPROCATING SAW BLADE (5-PACK) for free to write this review.

If you have a tough cutting job to do through metal then these Milwaukee Torch blade set of five are the blades you'll want in your tool bag! When use in a Sawzall it seems there isn't any metal it cannot cut through and cut through smoothly. I tested one on a piece of black iron pipe and I was amazed at how smoothly it cut through it with little to know vibration. And smooth cuts mean accurate cuts. The trick is, as always when sawing, is to let the blade do the work, don't force it and it cuts fast and smooth. The extra nitrus carbide in these blades gives it its added strength and cutting power. I will be using these on all my tough metal cutting jobs from now on!

Milwaukee got this right, excellent issue free cutting of galvanized schedule 80 pipe with nearly a 1/4" wall thickness. Corral posts varied slightly after installation and conventional bi-metal reciprocating saw blades were very slow, wore out quickly and got expensive as did carbide tipped blades. These are much more expensive initially and worth every penny, cutting through the pipe was fast and the blades last much longer. They are not carbide tipped but the blade is treated.

I have a metal fence Im building and figured I could use these on my cordless saws all. These blades work really well. They cut into the metal at full speed without a lot of jolting. With the carbide teeth, there are little to no sparks. Once it gets the initial cut started, it gut really fast. I was only cutting through 1/8 angle, so that is what I am basing my speed on.

This is the first time I've used these MILWAUKEE 6 IN. 7 TPI TORCH NITRUS CARBIDE TEETH METAL CUTTING SAWZALL RECIPROCATING SAW BLADES and it won't be the last. First thing I noticed was these Milwaukee blades feel heavier and are a bit thicker than my old brand, which impressed me before I even attached it to the saw. I was cutting nailed studs, wood railings screwed to sheathing and 3 old water pipes in an older house and these blades certainly did the job really well and barely show any wear, other than the paint on one side was scratched. I will definitely get more use out of each of these blades than I did with my old brand. They cut easily through metal screws, the nails and metal pipe and went through the studs and wood rail like going through butter. I'm glad I tried these and will be purchasing these from now on.

I got these to cut some cast iron pipe and they looked very beefy and different from some other blades. They really are different. They last longer and do hold up better. They are very good at cutting through cast iron pipe and you don’t have to change blades as often. This also works great on rebar and angle iron. I tried them out on a piece of stainless and they work well on that too. These will be my metal sawzall blades from now on. The others will stay in the drawer. These will fit any standard sawzall, they’re beefy and are a pretty neat design too.

This worked great for my needs. I used this on a piece of 2x, Nails, and an old pipe and it cut the job in all cases. I used the blade with two different recip saws and the blades got the job done with both. For my first task, I had to cut out a piece of 2x for a door, this worked as expected, it is a metal blade after all. Next I used this to cut some of pipes for plumbing that I know longer needed, no issues there. Lastly I used to demo some 2x with nails in them , no problems there.

These are some tough, tough blades. They are not for everyday cutting of thin or even medium steel. If you are cutting cast iron or structural steel with a reciprocating saw, these are the blades for you. The teeth are very broad so they will not work on thinner materials. I would not try on less than 1/8 or maybe even 3/16 steel. I used on some 3 1/2" oil field pipe and the cut right through it. Not that it was fast but the blades made steady progress and did the job.

Very rugged, heavy duty blades. These are for the big time, like when you have to cut up a cast iron bath tub! The blades are 9 inches long and have 7 teeth per inch. What is striking is how thick the blades are - to provide strength and handle the heat generated while cutting. I was able to cut through some steel conduit very quickly with one. Five blades in the pack. Made in the USA

I like the entire line of Milwaukee tools and accessories. Well made and commercial quality. This blade will not disappoint. It has an extra thick blade and made to withstand heavy sawzall use on thick metal (pipes, rebar, angle iron, etc). I tried it in my folding handheld sawzall blade tool (also from Milwaukee) and if fits perfectly (although due to the full length of this blade it won't fold in, because it is designed for 6 inch blades). Know matter, I can use this in a pinch if I have to. Great product.

Good tough heavy-duty metal cutting blade. Used it on my cordless reciprocating saw to cut steel bar – sliced through like butter, with no sign of wear. It is a thick blade by most standards but works well to do the job. The total length is 9”, and the serrated (tooth) portion measures just a tad over 7” which is long enough to cut directly through both sides of the wall of a 4” diameter pipe. The blade thickness would seem to provide better stability for these longer cuts. The packaging suggests it will have a longer life expectancy than standard carbide blades, although I haven’t used this product long enough to judge that. It seems a tad pricey, but if remains durable (and sharp) through many cuts, it will be worth it. I would recommend this product.
