The tool to get if you are installing more than a few expansion pex fittings or need to do so in tight quarters. Like all Milwaukee tools this is solidly built and performs its function well. The manual alternatives are terribly impractical and as a certified hand therapist I can tell you they won't do your joints any favors. This not only expands but also rotates the expansion head which is something manual versions do not do and is necessary for proper installation. This fits into tight spaces which in plumbing is an inevitability. You can tell that 1" is about the max size fitting this is built for as it works pretty hard at that level, be sure to use the included lubricant and keep the second battery ready to rotate a fresh one in when the other runs out of juice. This will allow uninterrupted use. Expansion pex is superior if you care about maximum and uninhibited water flow.

PEX Expander works really well. Much faster and easier than trying to use the manual tool.

Works decent for the 1/2" however when doing 3/4" it struggles and sounds like it's dieing. Also unlike my Ridgid tools that the batteries give you consistent power till it dies, this you can feel and hear it struggles and almost stop once it gets to 1/2 charge left and need to swap batteries. Needs bigger batteries or be corded as option. Will be returning to purchase one with bigger batteries.

Great little powerhouse

Love this tool it comes with all you need to get to work . It expands 1/2 and 3/4 oponor all day with no issues . It does a good job with 1" but heats up a bit around the tenth back to back fitting . I love the size and weight of it and the light is really handy .

Often reviewers whether it be on YouTube or Home Depot are just super excited for there new purchase so they rave and brag about how it's the best tool ever Here's an honest point of view (even though I'm also very excited). For a 12 volt its kind of hard to believe what this saw is capable of. It's not the lightest of tools and it's more on the bigger side another thing that just bothered me was how stupid the saw blade inserting mechanism works. It's really annoying to have to squeeze in there and turn the knob and pull the blade out Why couldn't Milwaukee make the hackzall like the jig saw. On the jigsaw there's a latch that's easily accessible nor annoying to use and the blade pops right out no need to grab a burning hot blade One more con witch is not the tools fault if you don't have a bunch of xc 4.0 battery's lying around you will not get to much run time. For all those reviewers who claim "a full day of cutting made over 700 cuts and still have half my battery " that is a total lie a chronic lie but no chord less tool can do that Fuel compared to non fuel ??? 2 different breeds overall great tool would recommend to a diyer or even a pro on a construction site

I own a lot of Milwaukee power tools and love them always durable and don't have issues with them. I purchased the Milwaukee M12 Pex expander and love it. I used a manual expander tool before and it takes time and results were not as exact as this tool. The Milwaukee rep at the store is awesome, super knowledgable he knows Milwaukee. The tool works great pull the trigger it expands and rotates automatically can't complain about that. It feels solid and works solid I don't feel like this tool will wear out, overall a great buy.

The expansion tool is made of high quality materials and should last, like most Milwaukee tools. Extremely simple to use and makes leak free connections every time without any guesswork. The tool is pretty pricey, but in my case, I'm re-plumbing my entire home, and it makes connections so simple, it was more than worth it.

Used this with 1" and 3/4" PEX-A. Worked really well. Much easier than manual tools.

This saw has been perfect for ripping through metal, plastic, wood and anything else I've needed it for. It has even more power and lasts a lot longer with the optional high output battery. I purchased this one as a backup to the one I already have. I figure I've given that saw such a beating over the past couple of years that it can't possibly last much longer.

Milwaukee has become as reliable as Skillsaw was back in the 70’s when I started lets hope they don’t sell out and become cheap imitations Master Carpenter/Builder Framing Square Const

Great tool! One you may not use every day if not a plumber by trade, but is a game changer when you need it. This tool along with the uponor water line system is by far the easiest, cleanest and fastest way to plumb. IMO

This is a handy tool to have with me all the time and doesn't take up as much room as a full size tool. I would suggest picking up a 6 amp battery for power and run time if cutting through wood.

Very happy with the performance and of this saw.
