Buyer Beware - Plate Adjustment Lever Issues

Saw works great as long as the plate adjustment lever doesn't come loose. When this happens, the bottom plate pivots side to side which creates issues with getting an accurate cut. Until Milwaukee redesigns the tensioning system for the bottom plate I would avoid this saw at all costs.

The foot plate won’t stay locked

Needs to be redesigned. As others have noted, the bevel/foot plate won’t stay locked in the zero degree mark. Bought it for a project and limped my way through it. I may try to JB weld the bottom plate in the zero degree mark as I don’t do bevel cuts. I tried adjusting/tightening up the locking mechanism but it will not tighten up. IMO, at this point it’s a throw away tool.

What a piece of junk

Believe the reviews that say the locking mechanism for the cutting angle adjustment is complete junk. On the second use of this tool cutting 1/4” sanded plywood the lever loosened and came completely apart. The saw separated from the base and parts spread across the floor. I picked up what I could find and returned the tool in pieces to HD. TTI should be embarrassed to market this piece or crap under the Milwaukee name.

Loose Angle Adjustment

Bought this small jigsaw to finish inside cuts on stringers and common rafter birdsmouth. The Angle Adjustment lock comes loose constantly. Also poor placement of lever, right at trigger. Surprisingly poor design from an excellent company that usually covers all the bases.
