All of my Milwaukee tools have been amazing so far. It’s winter now so I haven’t had a lot of time to play with them. Looking forward to spring.

The Quality of Milwaukee is the best out of all the power tools

Great tools. I chose Milwaukee to get the job done!

All of the attachments have been used and all are great performers. All are well balanced and work better than any gas or 120 VAC units I have and still own. The attachment that shines is the Pole Saw which I use to trim the lower branches of 65 year old spruce trees that are over 2 inches in diameter. My wife has tried the pole saw and now I have to ask to be able to use it. My nephew and youngest son now have their own sets and think they are great.

Amazing quality and performance, drastically outperforms my expectations

I use this about twice a week and it’s great. Lots of power and doesn’t bog down too frequently. On average i get about 45-55 minutes of run time which usually leaves me with enough battery life to use the M18 blower for clean up. The vibration is manageable but I do have some wear appearing on the 8.0 battery as well as the battery connection area on the tool, I’m assuming this is normal but would love some follow up from Milwaukee. All in all if you’re looking for something to get your yard done and not have to store or mix fuel this is a great option.

I am a professional landscaper. I do not use this at work, however I have used it at home for a year now. My xc8.0 battery allows me to trim and edge my entire yard on a single charge. I also have the pole saw attachment and again no complaints. Hands down the best electric weed eater on the market and I have owned them all.

Worked great for the first few months. But now what use to take me an hour to do now takes about 2 bc every few minutes I have to stop and let the tool cool down. And just today while using it the tool and battery started to melt together.

There has to be some sort of design flaw with this pole saw--I've had to return it 3 times to Milwaukee for replacement due to the same issue--chain oil leaking. It leaks until the reservoir is empty. Unit 1 leaked and was replaced under warranty. Unit 2 leaked oil all over my other tools that were stored below it on the rack but its now been replaced. So now I'm on my 3rd unit and of course all the oil has leaked from the reservoir but this time it's in double wrapped plastic bags that i rubber band around the actual saw. Can't fool me a 3rd time Milwaukee! So now i have bags full of chain oil that i recycle back into the reservoir whenever i need to cut something--far from efficient. Luckily Milwaukee is really good with their warranty but it's still an inconvenience to have to send the unit back repeatedly. I can't believe nobody else has noted this oil leak issue in their reviews. My other Milwaukee tools are solid but this one is a disaster. 2 stars because of Milwaukee's warranty otherwise a 1 star product. We'll see what happens when they send the 4th unit.

My wife give one off this because all my tools are Milwaukee and I loved by t this one is a overheating issue this the 3rd i return the first because coming used the second works well for 30 minutes and stop working and drain full 8.0 in turtle mode and when I started with the second 8.0 amp battery the trimmer stop I tried 4 times I return the trimmer and tried again but this drain full my two 8.0 battery in less than an hour I'm so disappointed with this I really tried I buy a 12.0amp. HO battery today to tried tomorrow but if fail again I going to return to the store.

Not gonna lie I absolutely enjoy this tool but it has terrible cooling and it looks like Milwaukee tried to fix by adding more intake slots/holes but the fan is just a simple bi-directional fan and doesn’t move very much heat out of the motor. I’m pretty sure my hammer drill moves more air than this thing. When I use it as a pole saw, no problems with that works great. As a string trimmer it gets hot eventually and I have to run it without a load to cool it down but sometimes that doesn’t even work. Impressed what it can do but a redesign is necessary

Works great for normal maintenance trimming. I tried some serious weed eating, it lasted 18 minutes on full charge 8.0 battery, 8 minutes on full charge 5.0 battery. Only reason didn’t give a 5 rating is a throttle lock would be nice and strap should come with it and not be an option.

Yes I recommend the pole saw n everything of Milwaukee products to the whole world I’m in love with it I have the blower n some battery’s I have the wither n cutting machine all of Milwaukee products I do give a 5stars...

The best string trimmer I have ever owned- by far. Not only was I able to eliminate the gas exhaust but I was able to do so without sacrificing power. This tool has a comfortable operating weight and gets the job done quickly. I often have enough juice left on the battery to use the blower for clean up. It is extremely quiet and Made from quality materials. I am throughly impressed with the ability to make this tool even better with quik-lok, by turning it into a hedge trimmer, edger or pole saw. This option further reinforces I made the right choice for the best possible tool that has the ability to be modified into several other tools! I am excited to test the hedge trimmer in the near future. The tool does cost a pretty penny, but it is on par with other reliable brands cost and casts a shadow over competitors by adding function by being able to expand its use into several other tools (edger, hedge trimmer, saw).

Used this recently to clear a path down a right of way to a metering point, gotta say I was overly impressed with the performance from the QUIK-Lok string trimmer. I never felt like I needed the power of a gas powered string trimmer. I have a 29cc 4stroke trimmer and I felt this was comparable to that without the weight or noise. A couple of negatives is that the grass regularly got wrapped around the head and stuck in the gap between the guard and head. Second the 9AH battery entered into a thermal lockdown mode after continuous use(Similar problem with the chainsaw and 12AH). Not a negative with the machine but the string included is very weak, repeated line breakages. Overall I was impressed and would consider this for personal use as my string trimming needs are not substantial and I feel this would meet or exceed my needs.

Does what its supposed to do. Lighter and faster than a gas powered.

This unit is the best wish I had another battery tho. I got this at a great price before it went up to 600. So glad I bought it the pole saw works so good I already did two different jobs with it and it was quick. already need a new chain tho but it was really worth the money and the blower works great also has great power for medium to small jobs.

Tremendous!!!! I bought this trimer to test and now we do not change it for any. Our best investment, we do not have to worry about gasoline, mix or not start.

Weed eater was easy to put together. First time I tried it, it was quiet and powerful. Cut tall weeds and grass easily. Great product and highly recommend it.

Worked great! I love that you just pick it up and use it without having to get it started like a gas trimmer. Looking forward to getting different attachments to use around the house!.

This trimmer has as much if not more power than my old stihl string trimmer amd you dont have to worry about having good gas and the right gas/oil mix as well as worrying about starving the engine for fuel when you turn the trimmer on its side. Plus its much easier to carry a spare battery in a pocket vs a gas can.

Pole saw worked flawlessly. Cut easily thru everything I asked it to without a problem. Completely reshaped all 3 trees in my yard (oak, poplar and pine) and didn’t even need to use the extension.

Easy to assemble. Everything worked as it should! No issues. Ran like a champ.

Really good trimmer. Only disappointment is the direction the head spins. Be nice if it would spin clockwise for right handed people.

Let me start by saying I’m pretty much a Milwaukee fanboy, and when I won this weedeater from a job Christmas party and finally used it,I absolutely loved it. Had it about a year an only used it occasionally then all of a sudden it wouldn’t work so I changed batteries an as soon as I pressed the trigg it immediately fried my battery. Tried again an fried another battery. So not only do I have a piece of junk/dud weedeater it has now fried 3 batteries.so I’m beyond furious with this thing

It’s an awesome saw to lop off branches at heights normally requiring a ladder. I use it for trees on my 5 acre home… especially to keep our motorcycle trails open and clear in our 3 acre forest.

So far it has been great. I also bought the edger attachment for it and it cut through over grown grass like butter. The only problem I had was the quick lock adapter bit actually came off of the drive shaft while I was string trimmimg after about 30 minutes of use. It was a little tricky to reseat onto the drive shaft but I got it back together and tightened the bolt down. It was pretty loose. Still a 5* though.

I was worried my 5Ah XC battery wouldn't provide enough power, but the pole saw cut through branches like a hot knife through butter. It made trimming my palm trees super easy.

Very strong trimmer. I had a Ryoby was very weak and string keep breaking so easily, I will get Milwaukee products moving forward.
