We purchased 5 of these fans for our covered porches. They were great at first. However, 18 months later, they were all completely rusted. These are supposed to be wet rated, yet ours are on deep porches and never get wet. I can not recommend these for outdoor use. Highly disappointed.

I ordered the fan in September of 2022. Did not install until november of 2022. Fan is beautiful and worked great under my covered patio. It is sheilded from the elements. Worked great up until two weeks ago and loved everything about it. We use it maybe four or five times a month in the spring/summer when we are on the covered patio. It suddenly quit. Had my contractor diagnose it to be a failed motor. So basically I paid $500 for a fan that lasted 19 months with very minimal use. Manufacturer warranty is only 1 year. Meanwhile i have other fans in my home that have been on without shut off other than for cleaning for over 6 years that cost 1/5 of the amount of this fan.

First fan lasted about 2 months with a grand total of about 8 hours of running time. HD told us to pound sand. OEM sent new receiver still - didn’t work. Packed and shipped back to CA. Shipped wrong item, back, no fan. Finally they ship a new fan (8 months after the problem began). New fan worked for 1 month. Same issue as last time. Spent more than the fan on installs and removals. 21 months later, no fan and out a total of $1,300. Spend more and buy a real fan from reputable company.

Minka always makes great fans! This one I used in my personal house. Easy install, good quality. Pro tip, make sure if you are installing several Minka fans at the same time, you follow the directions about pairing the fans and the remotes.

I have this fan in my 20 ft ceiling living room (utilizing 72" downrod) - it is fabulous. This fan does a terrific job moving the air (initially I was hesitant as the blade pitch seemed less-than ideal -- however, that is not an issue). It has lots of speed options as well. I highly recommend this Minka product.

Not sure how MINKA AIRE receives high ratings. I’ve been though my second (over $1,000). Multiple issues and no coverage from the manufacturer. Home Depot by me is great. Going for a store credit and will only get Hampton Bay going forward. I’ve installed easily 10+ Hampton Bay fans over the years with ZERO issues.

Massive fan looks wonderful!

I was looking for a powerful fan to keep me cool on my new screen-in porch. This has 6 speeds and even works great at the lower settings. It's also beautiful.

This MinkaAire Extreme is a fantastic fan: attractive, quiet and versatile speeds. We bought one for a home we later sold, and bought another one for our new home. The brushed nickel one is very modern looking. I highly recommend it for any large living area with 10’+ ceilings.

I love the look and being able to find a fan at a reasonable price without a light was a win. The quality is great, it appears to be a high quality fan. As far as air movement it is lacking significantly. We thought it was broke when we cycled through all 6 speeds and couldn’t noticed a difference. Even my electrician was surprised.

I read a lot of comment people saying this unit doesn’t move air very well and that you have to have in max speed to feel it. I’m glad I didn’t pay attention to those comments. Having this in its lowest speed provide a gently breeze that you definitely can feel. It’s is absolutely great just to have this running all the time in its lowest speed. Those people either have it way too high in the vaulted ceilings (ie they didn’t buy the appropriate down rod… or they have it reversed - pulling air up). Quiet! There’s no humming noise like most fans… at any of the speed level. The only noise you hear is the swishing of the blades at the highest speed. I am so happy I went this unit. Highly recommend it.

Fan moves a lot of air very quietly. Easy to install and very pleasing to the eye.

We put this fan in our own remodel. We love it so far. We have approx 20’ ceilings and purchased the 5’ extension rod. It’s perfect. This fan will blow you away if you need it to and you can turn it low for just the right amount of circulation, as well.

Quite, Stylish, Easily Installed- We purchased this fan because our previous one was too noisy to have on while sleeping. This exceded my expectations in every way. The 6 speeds DC motor allows ultimate control and is almost inaudible on level 1 which you wouldn’t know its on if it weren’t for the breeze it puts out. From level 2 on you only hear the blades moving the air and it can move lots of air at level 6. The longer blades are well balanced and fan base doesn't wobble during operation. I highly recommend this fan for anyone looking for something quite and stylish.

Love this fan. My husband had no issues installing this fan. Runs super quiet. Is very powerful. We get lots of compliments on it. We love it.

We installed 2 of these fans when we added our patio after an extensive search. I wanted to buy something from Home Depot in case I needed to return it but fortunately, will not have to do so. They move a lot of air and are quiet during operation. I highly recommend them.

We love this piece. It’s exactly what we were looking for for our new living room area. Even my 13 year old said he really likes it. My husband had no issues installing it. Works like a charm. Super quiet.

Looks great and functions well, very quiet. Must be somewhat of a handyman otherwise hire someone to install for you.

Super happy with the fans. The brushed silver looks great against the white ceiling. They are super quiet and move a lot of air without feeling like you are in a wind storm. Easy to install. Easy to set dual remotes.

I have purchased several Minka Aire fans and none disappoint. This fan is great looking, quiet and efficiently cools the room without feeling like you’re in a wind tunnel. I would definitely purchase again.

Throws Some Air! Replaced a 52” Hunter that was always a disappointment. The 65” fan is perfect for the space and keeps the bugs off of us.
