Beautiful rug

Works as intended. Feels nice under the rug. Requires some trim.

Good pad for carpet over wood floor, and the rubber floor part is good, as if something spills on the rug, it won't immediately go through to the floor. The reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish it had been a little thicker AND I had to cut it down (2" on the long side and 4" on the short side) for my 6x9 rug, as otherwise it showed. The rug was one I also bought from Home Depot, a Safavieh that is very dense and plush. The pad made it a bit cushier too.

This rug pad is awesome...has the rubber side to prevent the rug from moving and the felt side for softness. Adds a nice, soft layer under my big rug. My husband was impressed with how well it’s made, and the dimensions were perfect and edges straight! You don’t get that with most rug pads. Great price too!

This is exactly as described, with one rubber side and one felt side. It does help keep my rug in place on my wood floors. I was hoping it would make the carpet feel more plush, but that effect is minor. The nice thing is that is was a couple inches smaller than my rug, but once the rug is down, that's barely noticable.

Great price and came on time. Thick but great under carpet. I cut it to the size needed without an issue.

I was worried about the size, the smell, the thickness. I was especially concerned because when I picked it up at the store, I was told it could not be returned. Turns out I had nothing to worry about--I moved into a new place yesterday, and this rug pad is perfect. I bought 5x8 for a 6x9 rug and put it out the day before (as it comes folded).

The rubber on the bottom keeps it in place. There was a little extra that we snipped off to get the perfect size for our rug. Reasonably priced.

The 8 by 11 pad was delivered folded but creases came out when laid flat. Under side is latex/rubberized and stays in place. This made it easy to roll out rug on top of it. You will need sharp scissors to trim. Really pleased with the pad. Not cushy like installed rugs with pad but makes a difference and keeps rug in place. Perfect project while sheltering in place increased comfort of room.

Nice and thick, so it provides a good cushion for the area rug on top. Also the material has integrity --- the padding doesn't pull apart or distort when pulled one way or another --- which counts when installing or moving it. A good deal for the price!

We ordered a 10x14. Actual size of pad was 10’1” x 13’7” This was actually okay for us since it would be trimmed anyway. We trimmed the 10’ side to 9’9” Our rug now overhangs 2-3 inches over the pad. Which worked out perfect and looks great. Will buy again when I need a new pad. It came folded (not rolled) in a large package. Well wrapped. No noticeable odor. No pieces sloughing off. I halfway unfolded over night. The size and weight of the pad AND the rug was pretty heavy and required maneuvering by two of us but we managed and we’re ages 68 and 73. No negatives from us at this time. Met all expectations of what a pad should do. Delivery was quick—within a week. We found regular cheap office scissors worked better than kitchen shears for trimming. A box cutter didn’t work at all.

Rug pad was thick and well made. I had to trim with heavy duty scissors to fit my rug size. I think this product will outlast the rug.

I liked the felted rug pad, it was easy to lay and walking on the pad by itself was very cushioned without the rug. Once I added the carpet to it, it's like walking on plush carpet. I really like the pad and, I will be buying it again.

Rug stays put with two large dogs wrestling on it. Dogs will sleep on rug during the day as much as they do their Bully Beds.

Love it - bought the heavy pad to put underneath it, because it is thin. All in all, a nice rug. As other reviewers noted, it did arrive wrinkled. This is how I got rid of them. Lay the rug out. Roll it back halfway. Get your iron out, put it on the highest possible setting you can (check it on a small spot to be sure) Use lots of steam and iron the back of the rug (not the top). Lay it out and smooth it out. Then do the other half of the rug the same way. The heat and steam will release the wrinkles. It was not entirely perfect, but 99% better than it was. It smoothed out the rest of the way in a few days. Very well worth the money. The pad was just a few dollars less than the rug, but it is definitely a necessity if you want a nice feel underfoot.

No problems

This rug pad works well with larger, heavier rugs, however I have had difficulty keeping the narrower 2'x6' wide, jute-backed runner from slightly shifting sideways on top of the pad for this first two weeks. (I cut the 12-foot pad in half to use it for two 6-foot rugs.) The rug pad does stay in place and has eliminated the hazard of the throw rug slipping on brand new semi-gloss engineered hardwood. I am hoping, as the stiff runner rug breaks in, that the rug pad will adhere better to the throw rug backing. This rug pad cannot be cut easily with scissors, as advertised, but Kobalt steel shears worked, as did a utility knife.

Carpet was nice but unfortunately it wasn’t a 8 x 10 (smaller). So, I decided to return it plus very hard to vacuum.

Arrived quickly and exactly as described. Non-slip rubber on the bottom and can be trimmed with scissors for a perfect fit. I trimmed it about 2" smaller than the size of the rug to allow the rug to touch the floor at the edges.

This felted rug pad worked perfectly for my natural jute area rug. It was easy to cut down to size and prevents slippage. Will buy again and would recommend.

I'm very glad we purchased this with our rug. It adds a nice amount of padding, it stays put. It is very comfortable to walk on, and easy to use with the rug.

Arrived and when I inpackaged it had very little smell and layed out smooth when i put it on the floor. Works well under the rug under our bed that i also purchased from Home Depot. Good price for this size and quality rug pad

Great product, we purchased a Beautiful Persian Rug and it was suggested we use a pad. After researching we found just what we wanted at Home Depot, for the best price the pad not only protects our new hardwood floor, but also protects our rug from wear and is incredibly soft. We are very pleased with the pad, cost and the delivery was excellent!!!

We bought this pad to put under a thick wool area rug in our eating area. It keeps the area rug from slipping on our hardwood floor and makes the rug look more luxurious. The pad provides just the right amount of cushioning. The materials in this pad are very high quality and there were no odors.
