[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Everyone in the house appreciates the usage of this Mohawk Home rug pad. Our front door is no longer slippery because this sticks nicely to our tiled floor. It accentuates the doormat that we have so it is a win-win. What we like about this rug is that it prevents us from the slippery floor especially these days when it is snowing. It saves us the trouble to clean and to get hurt in the process due to slippery floor.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Just love this rug it has saved my brand new carpet that’s for sure. I put it in the back bedroom where my daughter keeps her rabbits. And it has saved the day. I’m so glad I get this pet pad anyone that has cats or rabbits or even dogs she have one of these. It not hard to put under there mats to keep carpet from getting peed on. And staining the good carpet underneath. I don’t know how I’ve ever done without this. And it’s so easy to cut. Just used a normal pair of scissors.

I decided I needed this pet proof rug pad when I adopted a puppy at the same time my 13-year-old Kuvasz started having old-age accidents. I had already gotten a rug cleaner, but most of my house has wood floors, so cleaning the rug didn’t necessarily mean that the wood floor underneath stayed dry. Enter this rug pad. The 8’x10’ size is roughly twice as large as my rugs, which are all 5x7, so I used kitchen scissors to cut the pad to size. It’s not the thickest rug pad out there but it still offers some cushioning. One great feature is that the grippy side is VERY grippy - more so than so-called “non-slip” rug pads. And of course, best of all, my floors stay dry no matter how much snow, mud, or pet messes end up on my rugs.

This was a critical need for a home with a new puppy. While we know the rug will likely be wrecked, we need to protect the wood floors. This is perfect. 8x10 (but can be cut to size) and acts as a pad and barrier to protect the floor. It is compressible, but not like a thick carpet pad. By just reversing it, it works on hardwood/laminate or on carpet. Seems to reduce noise on the hard floor.

My dog loves to run and fetch in our long hallway but the rug slips and slides even though it had a pad underneath, but not anymore! We opted for the Mohawk Home Felted Rug Pad and that rug stays put every time! The pup can run and jump without worrying about the rug slipping underneath her. This grey mat came rolled up and was easy to unfold and lay flat. We have the 8 ft X 10 ft pad so we will be using it under other rugs as well. The burly tectured top clings to the rug whereas the underside has a vapor barrier to protect the flooring from spills and other moisture. It was very easy to cut the piece that we needed using household scissors and following the groove enabled me to cut a straight line. This padding is reversible in case you want to place it on top of carpeting. At 1/8 inch width the pad gives a comfortable cushiony feel.Great sound barrier, too. I've seen more expensive padding so the price is quite affordable for the excellent quality.

Ceramic tile and dogs. Old dogs struggle on ceramic tiles due to the tiles inherent lack of traction. To help them navigate the tiles, I put down indoor/outdoor utility rugs. Some work, some don't as far as non slip backing. One in particular is a 5x8 foot rug in the foyer that always moves, a lot, when one of the dogs runs like a race horse. This product was the answer. It's as if that foyer rug is now nailed down and I am amazed....and thrilled. With the leftover, I cut and installed on my other indoor/outdoor utility rugs. I used a better quality scissor and it cut through the rug pad with minimal effort. Small pieces are used on my end tables to prevent some wood top protectors from flying off when the windows are open. There's all kinds of uses for this excellent product. Highly recommend.

We love our pets and we are always on the lookout for products that aid our efforts to maintain a clean and healthy home. The Mohawk Home 8 ft. x 10 ft. All Pet Grey Felted Reversible Pet Proof Rug Pad has impressed us in that it protects the floor underneath with a moisture barrier as well as a slip/slide resistant felted material and with a solid foam rubber padding. This is a heavy carpet and we expect it to provide years of service. We would recommend this carpet for you pet consideration.

This product is not as described on the thickness it claims which is 3/8, it's actually less than 1/4. I'm disappointed in the difference considering the price. The "plush" side is very rough, I would not put it against a wooden floor. The rubbery "pet proof" side is ridged which makes it easy to cut evenly. If you don't care about thickness, this product might be for you. However, I wouldn't purchase again due to the discrepancy of what is advertised and what you get.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this liner under my cat's litter box rug and for use with our new puppy. It works great! We have liners under all of the rugs in our house now. They are super absorbent, easy to cut to size, and there's enough for a replacement!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] A carpet pad makes a huge difference under a rug. This one is great if you have animals or spill drinks often. It has a nice grippy texture on the bottom side so it stays in place well without moving around.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this pet friendly rug pad. It's super soft and comfy under your feet like an anti fatigue mat would be. It also feels waterproof so no accidents make it through to your sub floor. I love that you're able to cut it to make it fit whatever room or space you need. I put it under my regular carpet and the floor is so much more comfy for my pets and now I don't have to worry about accidents.

I have moved that rug back into position more times than I care to count. This is the first rug pad I have ever used and it's a good one. No longer do I have to worry about tripping up on a bunched up rug from overzealous cat activity.

This pad helps absorb it and not let it go through to my floors! This also gives a great padding to the rug also and makes it more comfortable. I will be buying more for my other rugs very easy to slip under and if needed easy to clean.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought a rug pad would work nicely for our large area rug in the living room. I went with the Mohawk Pet Friendly Rug Pad. It helps protect the flooring underneath and didn't have the bulkiness I was first concerned with. It also helps keep the rug from moving or bunching up. The fact that it is pet friendly is a plus. (Luckily, we have not had to test that theory yet.) I don't even know it is there yet, I know it is protecting my new floors. It is better than I expected!

I have an older dog that still gets short bursts of energy and before this pad she would always slip when running onto the rug. This pad truly keeps the rug in place with NO slipping. It would be good for elderly too, so they don’t slip on rugs. Overall a great investment that works!!

My dog doesn’t have too many accident issues, so I can’t really speak to that part of the marketing, but I’m sure that would work fine as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The pad was a perfect fit for the rug "top" I had purchased. I easily cut off the excess length to match the length of my rug. The pad is very good quality. So far it is not moving on the floor. I don't know if it really is water proof since it's not been tested. I would recommend it.

But that doesn't mean that accidents need to ruin my original hardwood flooring. The Mohawk pad, with its plush felt top and waterproof vinyl backing, absorbs the offending quiche-goop like a champ. No more frantic blotting with paper towels, no more heart palpitations about permanent stains. Just a quick spritz with some carpet cleaner, and voila! Rug resuscitated. And let's not forget the practical stuff. This pad grips the floor like a determined gecko, preventing your rug from becoming a slip-and-slide hazard for enthusiastic puppies (or, ahem, mimosa-fueled brunch guests). It also adds a subtle, cloud-like cushion underfoot, making every step a luxurious little spa experience. So, is the Mohawk Home Pet-Friendly Rug Pad perfect? Well, no miracle worker can prevent all stains (although this one comes pretty darn close). And it might not hold up to an elephant stampede (although, I haven't tested that theory). But for everyday mishaps, furry-friend faux pas, and the occasional klutz with a beverage, this pad is a lifesaver.

Helps to keep the floors from being damaged. They are inexpensive and much easier to replace then a floor when it comes to spills or any accident in general.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I work about 10 hours a day so I don't always get to take my dogs out on their schedule but this helps out a lot for incidents like that.I took maybe 24 hours to flatten it out fully and it's work great since. I also throw it in my washer probably once a week and it's held really nice. The value is there for sure in that I can clean this once in a while and not have to replace a whole floor. Highly recommend for anyone but especially people in a rental unit

I am a dog trainer and have multiple dogs in my house at various times. With multiple dogs running around we routinely have to adjust our rug from movement as well as cleaning up accidents. This pad is cushioned and stays in place.

My rugs stay in place are are so much easier to clean now as well. My hard floor rugs now have cushion support them now as well. My 5 dogs have truly put these pads to the test.
