Replaced the stock 6 inch downrod as expected. NOTE: You will need to buy an additional length of safety cable and a cable nut or a couple ferrule and stops to extend your safety cable. The stock safety cable is only made for 12 inch downrods. If you have longer than this, you need to extend the cable.

I ordered the fans and the extension rods together. The extension rods do not fit the fans, and so my contractor has been unable to complete the installation. I am moving in on Friday and this foul up is causing me great inconvenience.

The fan is beautiful! More importantly, it pushes out air...
The fan is beautiful! More importantly, it pushes out air which is so important in a South Georgia climate composed primarily of heat and humidity! It was easy to install. I added a matching down rod to make it fit a vaulted ceiling.

The description is incorrect - it is not threaded on one end. Both ends are drilled. However, it was exactly like the downrod that came with my Monte Carlo fan, just longer (it also did not have a threaded end)... so it was exactly what I needed.
