Doesn't get any better than these ....replaced all of my "solars" with these gems from H-D and Mr. Beams! A GREAT PRODUCT, and a REALLY good price if you purchase the 2-Pack (which I did buy several)! Almost wish that I had a few more places where I could use them, although I am pondering the possibility of installation of 1 (or 2) in my garage to avoid turning on 160 watts of ceiling fixtures to provide a pathway to my workbench area to grab a screwdriver for my wife (LOL)! There are literally a hundred places (indoors or outdoors) where they would be the perfect solution to having "a temporary" light!

Very easy to install. Motion sensor works great! The white sticker looks a little cheesy during the day but really helps brighten the light at night. If I could change anything would be the battery size. This one takes three C batteries.

We already have a deck light at the opposite side of our large deck but we needed a light where you arrive at the top of the stairs. This Mr Beams wireless, weatherproof deck light is perfect for that need. It is motion activated from 15 ft. with a 20 or 60-second auto shut off which helps prolong the battery life. You will need 3 C batteries (not supplied) and the unit goes up quickly with the included mounting hardware.The light activates immediately with motion and illuminates 120 sq. ft. It also has an optional glowmode feature which allows the light to stay on at a low light level without motion to serve as a marker. If we didn't already have a floodlight at the lower level of our deck I would buy more of these to line the stairs leading to the top.

Nice outdoor LED accent light that runs on 3 C-cell batteries and provides light to an area without the need for AC power. It can be used to illuminate stair steps or provide accent illumination in a small area. It has motion sensing capability, so it turns on auto-magically when you walk in front of it (up to ~10 ft away). It shuts off after about 20 or 60 seconds when motion is no longer sensed. The shutoff delay (20 vs 60 sec) is user settable. It will NOT activate during daylight. The 35 lumens of white light provides enough accent illumination for a small area ( ~10Ft X10 Ft). I put ours next to a patio bench to illuminate the side table. It also has a glow feature. When the "Glow" dipswitch is selected it illuminates (and stays lit) at very low power whenever it is dark (no motion sensing). A useful feature if you want to mark a door threshold or tripping hazard. It was easy to install (2 screws & anchors-included). My experience with these LED type lights is that the batteries will last about a year with average use (a few activations per day). The mounting bracket is easily removed (2 slotted screws) from the light housing for easier installation and changing batteries. I do like these Mr Beams lights, so I decided to purchase the 400 lumen model for our front door area so that it will illuminate when someone walks up to the house. It's a great way to add illumination for your doorbell camera. Some CONS: The "comic book" style instructions (mostly pictures/icons with few words) could have been clearer. Another minor complaint: the battery requirements (type cells and number) are not printed anywhere on the outside of the box. This makes it inconvenient when trying to figure out what batteries to purchase when you buy one of these lights off the store shelf.

This is a good option for illuminating stairways or other areas where you need enough light to keep from tripping or see your keys at night. The body is plastic, which I thought could be pose a problem of breakage in really cold temps, so I placed it in a location where it would not likely be accidentally impacted by feet or other objects. It takes 3 c-cell batteries, not as much of a normal battery size as it once was decades ago, so I do not use them often. To me, three is a strange number. Either you buy a couple two-packs and have one left over, or you buy a box of a dozen and hope they don’t get old before you need them. The instructions are not particularly clear. For instance there is no mention of the fact that the length of “on” time is adjustable (two settings: long or short), what the “glow mode” setting is for, the distance for the mounting screws, suitable locations for best results, etc. There is a website that referred to for more information but it is not apparent, and really, why couldn’t that information be included in the instructions. Who wants to run back into the house and fire up the computer when they are having install problems. And, there is no mention of this, but don’t loose the tiny clear rubber gaskets under each screw holding the back cover on. They fall off easily. Once installed, I was impressed with the brightness of this little light. It really is bright enough for its intended purpose, and It seems to actuate promptly with motion, and only when its dark out, so you aren’t wasting battery life when it isn’t needed, but yes the cat or dog will actuate it too. Overall a good choice for when you need a small light and don’t want to do major wiring. And better yet, it comes in a small cardboard box, not a crazy plastic blister package.

Great lights for deck steps at night

This outdoor light is a very effective outdoor light for such a small fixture. Just put in the batteries and it's active. I didn't mount it; just sat it outside on top of an old iron stove. I don't have to leave outdoor lights on when I leave the house. It comes on as soon as I get out of my car. It provides enough light to see clearly. It's very sensitive to motion.

I really like this little step/deck light. Mounted my first one to a toe kick on back stairs, the other to a railing post out front. Fits nicely on a small nail making it really easy to install and remove later if in the way. Battery operated with 3 C batteries, motion activated so it will last for months before needing to change the batteries. The batteries make it rather deep in size but worth it for how long they last. Easy to change the color with paint for a more custom look. Nice bright light sufficient to see down both steps from the post mount.

Ok, now....this is quite the little light. It was super easy to install, although no real instructions were really included (the only negative), but if you open the back you can see 2 tiny little switches (you have to find this on your own so thought I'd give you a heads-up). One little switch is for whether or not you want to set the timer (how long will the light stay on) and the second switch is for either choosing a bright light or more of a glow. Here's the crazy thing, "Glow" is still pretty darn bright!! I've included a photo of the motion activated light at the top of my back porch steps....please notice that the picture is taken at 5 am, so it's pitch black, outside. This gives a huge amount of light for only the cost of a copy of batteries (C), not included. It's great since it only stays on for a minute or so then shuts itself off (using the timer feature) but love the fact that it lights up the steps, especially if there is ice or snow outside. I was pleasantly surprised how much I love this thing and think you will, too!

This is a battery operated motion sensing LED deck light that installs easily with two screws (included along with plastic mollies). The back of the unit is removed with two screws, and inside you find room for three “C” size batteries and two slide switches. The first switch sets the glow mode on or off. In glow mode, the unit operates at very low light (like a night light) until motion is detected, when it then switches to high light. The second switch sets the duration the light stays on when motion is detected, from about 20 seconds in position one to about a minute in position two. The motion sensor works well and has a good range, and only switches the light on when it’s dark – preventing the unit from using battery power during daylight hours. This compact unit puts out a good amount of cool white light. I imagine that with three C cells and an LED bulb, the unit should light up many months on a single set of batteries under normal use. The unit is able to work both indoors and out. This is a plastic white colored, overall attractive unit, and battery operations offers versatile placement options. A good value as well.

These lights work great on our stairwell to see the steps in the morning. They also work outside on our walkway.

Excellent so far! These are great for a back-up when the power is out and our patio flood lights don't come on. I like that they are battery operated and detect motion (but you can set for low glow if you want). Recommend.
