It’s as bright as claimed. The power adjustment wheel is easy to use to get more life from the battery. It lasts an hour at maximum brightness; though for most work lower power (and longer battery life) is fine. The lamp gets hot, be careful playing with it.

A solid choice for an every day carry light. Good battery life, bright and appears to be well made. The only minor ding is the on/off wheel can be a bit hard to locate when you're in a hurry.

Once I started to use my thumb to turn the on/off/dimmer switch I found I really like this Flashlight. It is very bright and the amount of lights is easily adjustable. I also Like that a case is included for Belt carry.

The Nitecore Multitask Series EC22 1000 Lumens Infinite Variable Brightness LED Flashlight with USB Rechargeable Battery is the first variable LED flashlight I've owned. It has very solid construction, a proprietary 3.7V 2600mAH NL1826R USB rechargeable battery (plugs directly into micro usb battery-cord provided), a nice nylon carry case, a wrist strap, a pocket clip and extra o-ring seals. At the very low rated beam of .5 lumen, it is rated to a run time of 500 hours. At the maximum rated beam of 1000 lumen, it has a run time of 1 hour. The turn dial clicks when first turned on (lowest setting) and a 1\2 turn ramps up the brightness to the full 1000 lumen, with any reduced light setting easily found between the two variable ranges! The beam is a consistent large spot that on high, has a very long distance of illumination! Setting the light down on its smooth flat base, a dark room can be easily lit up with whatever light I need...Nice! I like the variable control to conserve battery life while giving me just the amount of light to get a task complete!
