I purchased my first system in 2008 or 2009 for a vacation rental, and another for my personal home. After 13-14 years, the DVR failed - that is NOT a complaint.... it worked great all those years, which means it was a quality product. When I went to replace the DVR I decided to update the whole system since technology had obviously advanced plenty. The updated cameras are better quality than the old ones. I am very happy with the system and often check it remotely on my iPhone or iPad.

I bought it for my office and now I can monitoring it 24/7. No issues and easy installation.

I have a THD system that is great. I bought this for the increase in video quality wich is great. I can not transfer and watch video clips on my computer so far at all. Only being able to speed playback up 8 times sucks. It is not near as easy to understand the operation of this system. I really have considered sending it back; Please help me with the transfer and viewing of clips to my computer. I also cannot get the remote connect program to connect to my system.

I purchased this system for a second home, primarily because I have the same system in my primary home. The Night Owl Connect Ap. Allows me to view both systems on my phone with a single log in, convenient! I deducted a star because I do not want the active deterrence cameras with a bright light, but have not found a way to turn off the light. If there is a way to deactivate the camera light, please let me know!

No problem with set up and getting on line. Running wires into attic was a pain but can not be seen from outside.

I had an old night owl system that finally wore out. I requested from the online sales rep something close to what I had. This model is perfect for me!

We just recently purchased the night owl security cameras and so far we have loved them! We haven’t had any issues. I would highly recommend getting some and giving them a shot.

We installed our first night owl kit (4 cameras) 12 years ago. It still works today. We wanted mobile technology and decided to upgrade with a newer version. My family is very pleased with the upgrade. Most of all customer service is the best and I would definitely recommend night owl products to anyone. American made, thank you night owl.

I’ve used night owl for 6 years now and this recent purchase was an upgrade. Overall great product and very reliable. Not a huge fan of the mobile playback options for night owl connect. Can only be reviewed in hour increments which is great but unfortunately on the phone there is no option to fast forward so if the inside the happened at 2:57 I have to watch starting at 2:00 and wait 57 minutes to get the actual footage. Other then that it is an awesome camera and the DVR playback and record is amazing as well as the facial recognition features. Will always stick with night owl and highly recommend

I was greatly surprised how easy this unit was to setup across all my devices. Had to contact support only once but problem was on my end. Very easy to setup. The quality of the video is excellent.

more features than hda10pb-8, better image, faster, after sending the access codes to a relative that lives overseas in a city, they can watch the surroundings where we live, they can see us, the wild life of animals that pass by, deer, bobcats, squirrels, birds, foxes, very cool this system the kids love it

I bought this system for my home after a friend recommended that they have this in theirs and love it. I’m so happy I listened. This is without question the best system I’ve ever bought. I’ve been using surveillance systems in my hime and businesses for years. They’re all so complicated to use and the cameras are never why I expected. These cameras are INSANE!! The system itself is so easy to set up and more importantly so easy to use after. I’m so happy with this purchase. I’ll be switching out the systems for my businesses shortly. Thanks Night Owl!!

I went to purchase a new camera system for my house and looked at many brands and price point. I was replacing a Night Owl System that I owned for ten years. The old Night Owl System served me well so I thought why not buy Night Owl again and get and upgraded unit, it did prove to be very dependable over the years. I purchased the C5XFR2l-161-B and wow, just wow. The cameras technology had advanced very well over the years. The cameras see well into the darkness and at High Definition. New feature like Facial Recognition and LED Spot Lights are just to name a few. I am loving the 2tb Hard Drive DVR with plenty of storage capabilities. Mobil app for remote online viewing and very easy to use installation instructions. Anyone who owns Night Owls will tell you they love them. I Highly Recommend this system.

this system is not set up to work with a remote have to ge up and walk over and use the mouse

Night Owl is definitely one of the best out there. The system is top notch and is my 3rd one I will be buying, as I just wanted better resolution. My old systems are still going strong after 4 years and have never had a problem with them. The only thing I do not like about this system, is that on my previous one, you could search all the cameras at once for motion events. It made playback very easy as this system really only has 2 options. Would be nice to see an update for that, but still a great system.

Great security camera system. I love the facial recognition feature and the camera clarity. You can read the license plates on vehicles. Highly recommend!

This system gave me everything i was looking for at an reasonable price

This is my third Night Owl system. It replaces the 16 camera system I bought four years ago. So far I am pleased and hope to get the same performance from this as the ones in the past. I like that I can still use the existing wires and old cameras. The new cameras have better resolution and night vision. Good deal getting 10 cameras with this system.

Night owl products are the best I have had. However the App for Apple needs to be updated to todays standards. It use to be good but now it freezes when trying to view on any phone or tablet. Can't actually view real time movements or playback anything. My internet is the fastest on the market and when using LTE I have full bars, so it's not connectivity issues. Please update your app ASAP.
