I purchased this to make a small conversational area in a large room. The low-profile back is perfect to not overwhelm the room. It was easy to put together by myself. Great engineering, I was pretty impressed. Great packaging and condition of product. Not sure why people are complaining this is not a sofa bed. This was not advertised as such. It does have a wide seat and easily sits three adults. Perfect for what I wanted it for.

I like it, but it isn't a sleeper sofa bed as advertised. I really like this sofa, it is modern and low profile, which makes my room look much much bigger than it did with my over-sized furniture in it. It is sturdy and fairly comfortable, with a nice durable fabric covering. The arms are solid oak and very heavy duty, which is nice when you live with teenagers. I love the charcoal color and the aesthetic design of this sofa. The one and only problem I have with this sofa is that it is advertised as a sofa bed, and it most definitely is not. The seat cushion part itself is wide enough to lay on, but sofa bed generally means it transforms into a bed for guests. This sofa does not transform or lay down, at all. I do like the couch, but wanted a sofa bed, and therefore will be purchasing something different and moving this couch to the sun room where it will look just as lovely as it does in the living room.

3-SEAT LIGHT CHOCOLATE BROWN TUFTED FABRIC SOFA BED is a good sofa for any home and it has a modern look that can go well with other floor and furniture. Only thing that I am still confused is that why they call this a sofa bed. When I saw its name, I imagined a traditional sofa bed. No it does not fold out to become a bed like traditional sofa bed. It comes with only one cushion that goes on the top of the base and one fixed back. So the back does not move to be flat. I can only imagine that manufacturer name it sofa bed because of its flat base cushion which is bed like. Well, enough with the name. Sofa itself is very compfy and nice. It comes with 2 small cushions on the side. Cloth is firm enough to handle everyday use. When you lay down, it is actually very comfortable. I remind you this is three person sofa, meaning, it is quite wide. Wider than I expected. It is heavy to move. You might need more than 3 people and it took less than 20 minutes to assemble it.Nothing complicated. Just couple nuts and bolts to put together. It was very easy and it looked so good. :) Overall, I am quite satisfied with this sofa.

NOT A SOFA BED. It is a sofa that you could nap on. The two colors I looked at both said chocolate brown but the 2 pictures showed more of a light wheat tan and a light gray. I chose the tan color. It is not big and bulky but an average person could spend a night on it. Firm feel to bottom and back but it may soften some after use. Needed it for a spare bedroom for 2 small grands to sleep on, ages 3 & 4, when they visit, It will be perfect. It is mid century, kind of 60's Danish look but tufted. For the price range is is a nice sofa and sleek lines that would be perfect for small apartment. Does seat 3 comfortably. Took about 1 hour to set up and get in place.Two oblong round pillows are used as arm or head rest. Material seems that it would be easy to spot clean. I am pleased.

Easy to assemble couch. All you have to do is attach the back and the feet. The only thing that is brown about it are the wood sides and wood feet. The couch itself is a nice grey color. It has a very firm feel to it when you sit down. It's not a couch you want to sleep on (and it's definitely not a "sofa bed"), but it looks beautiful and really dresses up a room. I love that it is elevated, it makes the space more open and is easy to clean under. Overall, great looking couch with a firm seat!

This sofa assembled very easily and is comfortable for sitting and looks good in the living room. It is called a sofa bed but it does not fold down or out to be wide so it is a one person sleeping unit. For sleeping it is not fancy but it works fine. The cylindrical pillows at the end remove easily because they just sit in place so it is easy to get them out of the way to get the length needed for sleeping.

First, I’m not sure how this is a sofa “bed”. It does not convert or fold out into a bed. The seat cushion does come off and I suppose someone could set it on the floor and sleep on it. Assembly: The couch comes unassembled, but it wasn’t hard to put together. It took me less than an hour to build it. I did not see any instructions and there are none online so, I built it from figuring it out on my own (I found the instructions taped to a piece of cardboard after I was breaking the box down). It really wasn’t that hard to figure out how to put it together. It comes with ample hardware and a hex-wrench to tighten everything. The couch is firm but comfortable to sit on. As it’s new, it’s still firm and hopefully it will get softer after time. The sides are wood, and I misjudged the distance when laying down and bonked my head. I won’t make that mistake again but it highlights that this is not the most comfortable couch to stretch out on. I need to get a lot more pillows before I lay on it again. The two round side pillows are adequate to keep your hips from banging into the wood sides but not adequate for resting a head on. The looks of the couch are mid-century with the wood sides and round legs. They style of the cushions is pleasant and the overall look of the couch is good but from a prior era. It is sturdy enough to hold my “American” body without any issues. The one thing I like about the couch is that it doesn’t take up a lot of room as compared to a 3-seat couch with cushioned sides and larger backs. Overall, this is a good choice for a “sitting” couch for someone looking for the mid-century décor but I would not expect to put a guest on this couch and or would not expect that it would be a couch that I lounge on during football season.

Nice sofa, but it's not a sofa bed. Looks mid century modern and we like it. It was easy to assemble, but it would be better if two people were to assemble. You have to assemble the four legs, the two wooden sides, and attach the back of the sofa. The sofa cushion attaches to the fabric and wood frame with hook and loop fasteners. It may soften up, but the seat cushion and back cushion are very firm. The wood stain is a golden oak color and the legs have a gold color painted on the tips. We like it.

What a wonderful sofa. When it first arrived in a big heavy box I was very concerned. Not to be worried with this sofa. It was a snap to put together and took no time at all. All with an Allen wrench. It is supposed to be a light chocolate brown but I think it is more like a very light gray. The tufted fabric is superb. It has rolled pillows for each end. The wood on the ends is a very pretty color. The legs match except the bottom 3" are painted gold. Comfortable. I think this is a very chic sexy sofa.

There are several things about this sofa that weren’t quite as described. One thing is that it does not make a sofa bed. I was hoping that the back would go down but that’s not the case. Another thing is the color – in my opinion, Light chocolate brown does not describe this color. It’s almost white with tiny specks of brown in it. With those things said, I do like this couch very much. It’s on the very modern side that makes a mix of traditional and modern that looks pretty good. There are quite few pieces to put together. A girl friend and I were able to put it together in about an hour or a little less. It is very thoughtfully constructed to be able ship in pieces in a flat box and that go together really well. The directions were very good. Everything needed to put it together was included in the box. The cushion is quite firm. The wood sides and legs make a nice accent. The material is polyester. I hope that means that it will clean up good. Our dogs like to jump up on that sofa and look out the window. I will keep it covered for them and remove when people come over so it will continue to have that crisp clean look. Looks great and has a wonderful mid-century look. This couch ships flat-packed, but assembly was very easy. The sides, back, bottom and legs are all seperate pieces. The sides attach with bolts that use an allen-key and the back attaches with headless bolts that need a wing-nut. Assembly was very easy, however there a small amount of effort required to get the back attached to the bottom. Because of the angle it was a little tricky to line things up and get enough clearance to get the headless bolt threaded and a wing nut on. I solved this issue by loosening the sides a little bit and then tightening them again when the back was on. Unless you're under five foot six, this isn't a sleeper couch. Aside from length, it is not that soft, so would only make a good mattress for a short nap if you fit. It is fairly comfortable to sit on for short periods of time, but I wouldn't recommend sitting all the way through a movie on it unless you get up a couple times. It does have a very good height though and matches well to two different coffee tables I tried it with. It does have a great mid-century look though, and that's what really counts here, in my opinion. From the polished wood sides to the gold-capped feet, this couch is great to look at and will surely start a few conversations. I do find it a little odd that the couch is named 'Light Chocolate Brown' when a majority of the color is very clearly a dark gray. The side panels are brown, but I don't think they are very chocolately at all!

Perfect for what we were looking for: a conversation room couch. It’s not a lounging comfy couch, but it’s comfortable for sitting and reading. The sitting cushion is wide enough for an afternoon nap, which is nice. The fabric is soft and the assembly wasn’t hard. There are certain points in the process where two hands are necessary though

It look great. Perfect for small places. If your looking for something plush. This ain’t it. I needed pillows and a ottoman to make it comfortable

Returned the item. The parts didn't fit together right and the couch was stiff as a board. I'd rather sit on the floor.

This furniture is very stiff and uncomfortable. It reminds me of hotel room quality. Returned it to the store. Very disappointing as it looks very nice.
