The OVENTE Single Infrared Hot Plate was exactly what I had hoped for. It fits perfectly in a space on top of my old gas range and does the job well. It had to use it a few times to adapt to electric heating instead of gas, but I am very pleased that I'm not being subjected to carbon monoxide and benzene and happy that I will not be emitting carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Plus, it is very easy to clean!

Finally, after trying desperately many Ovente burners, this infrared model successfully could bring water to boiling point with $5 extra in price.

The black paint started peeling after regular but not heavy use. No one would honor the warranty. I have tiny enamel chips everywhere.

Don't buy this if it's for use for more than two months. The first one died after two months, so I bought another and bought the insurance. On the second one, the enamel coating began to flake and peel after about a month. The insurance denied my claim because the product was still under warranty with the manufacturer. The manufacturer ignored me. Honestly, this is a piece of junk, and the warranties provide zero protection.

The hot plate works well. I don't have to fire up the stove and make the house even hotter during this heat wave if I don't want to. It's easy to use.

Power light inoperative, returned.

During a kitchen remodel this burner was indispensable. Solid construction and heats quickly.

This burner is really nice! The thermostat is on point. I had another burner and it was impossible to make pancakes as the delay of the thermostat was too long and wouldn't keep a consistent temperature. And this one was just $2 more! My curry stew is perfect now!

Works great, but top of burner super slippery (no grooves or texture) so pan slides sometimes.

it's too small for cooking job,does not produce enough heat to cook meal.
