Can't use the drain until the shower kit arrives and is installed.
It's too soon to tell about the shower drain because the shower kit package has been delayed for more than a month. Kudos to Home Depot staff for providing a discount due to the delay. Will keep you posted!

I just turned 76 years old and had no one...
I just turned 76 years old and had no one I could call except for a plumber and they are way too expensive. First time ever doing plumbing work that involved shower drain leaking/ I bought oatey two piece as I have a pre formed shower. I read the directions and follow them had no problems at all- had to cut pvc pipe, attach slip or coupling to the pipe along with pvc cement. It took me about 35 minutes total time and I no longer have leak in my shower. Easy to use
