At first I was skeptical once it arrived, looking more...
At first I was skeptical once it arrived, looking more like a twig than a tree. After 6 weeks in the ground it’s now starting to grow spurs.
Evidently the tag on the tree only says Bartlett Pear and does not mention it being a dwarf. An oversight I’m unsure of??
I will monitor its growth and make the necessary pruning over its growth so to manage that it doesn’t grow beyond the fence line as we live in an association.

The dwarf pear tree came well packaged and protected. It was just beginning to bud. After soaking the bare roots in bucket of water overnight, I potted it in a large 22.5”x19” pot. It is leafing out and happy. I water it 2x daily in this 95° + heat we’re getting in NorthWest GA. Looking forward to see it grow just like my other dwarfs I have in pots. I also just bought a dwarf Santa Rosa Plum and it is doing great just like the pear tree.

Couldn't plant tree for about a week. Soked roots in a bucket of water for 2 days before planting, cut holes in plastic wrap... so roots would stay submerged. It's been a couple of months and we now have sprouts that are turning into leaves and stems... yay! I think this is going to work.

The tree arrived promptly and was in good condition but dormant. We will not know how it is doing until spring, and it will be several years before there is fruit.
