This kit is LARGE - 350 lbs shipping weight - shipped via truck from British Columbia, so it took a week to get to NC. Instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the panels are put together well. It says it will take about 5 hours to assemble, it took me about double that, but still not difficult. The hardware was short of a few 8 x 1" screws, but I had plenty of them, so no problem. The use of a power drill/screwdriver is highly recommended, and you might want to get a 4" long 1/8" drill bit so you don't have to angle too much some of the pilot holes. The only thing I did not like much were the plastic hinges, they look like they will fatigue-fail in short order, so I replaced them with steel hinges I had lying around. The beds are 33" deep, a lot of topsoil, so we used 15" of clean straw as the base, followed by a layer of untreated cardboard (from the kit boxes), a layer of mulch and then the topsoil. We will top it off as the base layers compost and compact, and in a couple of years we will have a nice compost layer that can be mixed. The finished garden looks beautiful!
