4 stares because the instructions weren't as clear as they should have been. Like the finished product just frustrated with some of the directions that weren't real clear.

We put this awning on my 39ft destination travel trailer that is permanently situated and we love its modern look. Perfect protection from the sun and it still lets the light through enough that the interior is not too dark like with the old roll out vinyl awning. It took three of us a day and a half to complete the project. This Palram awning is well engineered and went together pretty easy. Definitely recommend this product.

The cover quality is excellent, but don’t buy it in Home Depot. I was waiting for it more than a month. The Home Depot delivery department is the worst that I know.

First it did not arrived at the date that was indicated. Could not initiate instalation as it woukd not witstand Florida winds

Purchased after reading all the reviews. We live in the south so snow load is not a problem. My husband would prefer more written directions as we ordered the 10 x 20 which is 2 of 10 x 10. We did need to shorten the legs a bit and did put a header up before attaching to the side of the house. I will say it took a good full day for the 2 of us. Hardest part was attaching the gutter as 20 foot is quite long and you have to get the bolts thru the holes. We are very happy over all with the purchase and the temperature difference is amazing when under it. The patio door and living room windows are covered by this and the panels let thru enough light so the rooms are not dark at all. Looking forward to screening it in.

This was an excellent purchase - I am using this for a patio cover in my backyard against the house. I assembled the awning in about 12-14 hours over a couple days, taking my time and getting it right. I had help from my wife and teenage kids only a few times, mainly to hold up large pieces during assembly.My biggest concern with the installation was how to bolt to the house (I have vinyl siding) and how to bolt down (concrete pad.) I ended up just bolting straight through the siding into the house wall studs using the lag bolts provided (obviously didn't need the concrete anchors.) Then for bolting down to the pad, I rented a hammer drill for the anchor holes.It has worked out wonderfully so far. The awning has been up for a couple weeks now and it looks beautiful & is well secured - we've had a couple very windy days and it hasn't moved. It has rained a lot as well and no leaks - we are very happy with this purchase!

easy to install, and even to work around when you can't build per plan I bought 10 X 20 first , loved it. then bought 10 x 10 to make my deck cover even more usable year around.

easy to install but I bought a 10 x 20 and it came as 2 10 X 10 with no splice joining them together. I was able to make it work.

The finished product looks fine and we're very happy with it. The bracket that is used to fasten it to the house was only meant for masonry. We did not see that in the advertisement and when we got the awning we read it in the directions but the alternate bracket was not available from Home Depot. My husband and my adult son put it together and managed to make the bracket work If you don't have a masonry wall you should get more information on the alternate bracket before you order the awning. We have only had it up a short time but so far I would say it is a winner overall.

Easy to assemble, but keep in mind if ordering a 30’ awning, you will get 3-10x10 awnings that must be connected together. there should be a separate box containing the EZ link kits, as they do not come in the awning boxes. Make sure you have the connector kits before you start installing.

The awning looks great, it is two 14’ awnings put next to each other. Apparently there it was supposed to come with a kit to connect both together however, I never knew there was a kit and didn’t receive the kit and put the awnings up and now I have a gap in the middle.

Love the way it looks overall but didn't realize the "drainage system" didn't include downspouts from either side of the gutter. Now we have to come up with a solution to channel rainwater from BOTH sides of the gutter to empty into the yard drain. The other issue is with the directions, especially for the side panel. DON'T follow the directions and take the film off the panels before assembling. Although we took precautions not to scratch the clear polycarbonate panels, they were scratched in the process of assembling.

One of the pieces didn’t have the necessary holes drilled. Everything was in metrics. The metric wrench stripped and had to cut the end off. The package came days early than what what scheduled and we were not told it was being delivered early. We weren’t home so it was left on the driveway.

I purchased this patio cover ton replace my aged pergola. I like it much better than my pergola because it provides shelter and shade. My regular handyman was able to install it in a few days. One part was not shipped with the product but the company was able to resolve it for me. Their customer service actually picks up and talks to you directly which is unheard of these days!

The awning was easy to assemble but one of the legs had bolt holes that were improperly drilled. Also, two left side gutter sections were received (versus a left and right). The company was quick to resolve the parts problem and it's very nice when installed.

The awning is an amazing addition to the back of our house. It makes our back patio usefull. My neighbors compliment it. My only complaint is the lack of a downspout system for this. If there was a downspout for this it would have gotten 5 stars. The package arrived before it was said to be due which is always a plus. We've recently had 65mph wind gusts and she's still standing strong. Because the height adjustability it will fit almost any house.

Very easy to assemble and the graphic instructions were extremely easy to follow. The very first time I have ever had assembly instructions be that clear, concise and easily understood. A very pleasant surprise. Had it completely installed in under 2 hours. Polycarbonate panels snapped together easily and was much, much easier to install than other poly panels I have worked with in the past. Minimalist styling does not dominate existing structures. Very good value.

I love this awning! The cover is nice and color just blend with the house. Sun was out while building it and it was just perfect shade. Will see how it holds with rain. It is like a puzzle. Instruction with pictures is well written, easy to follow when you have two people to do it. The important thing to take note is to make sure the frame is aligned when you start installing the roof. it takes a day to figure out how to put it together the instructions could use some words and not just pictures. the finished product is great. PS: My neighborhood had ordered the same one when I wrote this review.

This was very easy to assemble,,took me alone about 4 hours to complete .surprisingly sturdy and gives me the shade i desire also looks very nice...Just a little pricey,,,

First of all, we have not installed it yet as we want to wait until we get a new roof on our house. That being said, we inspected every piece of it, and it looks well made. My husband read it's installation instructions and thought it looked a little hard to do, but we will work together on it this fall. We will also use YouTube videos to help. We actually plan on buying a second one next year. Our decks are large and we love them to feel like a rooms, and not have to retract awnings because of snow in the winter. These fixed awning are rated to 30 lbs. per square foot of weight. That is plenty for where we live.
