It looks good. I have not been able to connect through Bluetooth or WiFi to my phone. I liked being able to trim it to length.

The lights were easy to install. The app was a little glitchy.

Using 4 sets as ambiance lighting on top of my kitchen cabinets.Strong enough to light up the room on Daylight mode.Didn't have to use the adhesive since it can stand on its own.It would be nice if Philips makes matching remote wall switches like Caseta.

Didn't even get to install them and one of the connector pins fell off from just unplugging the strip.

This is a great product. Affordable and easy to install.

Purchased based on price point and being associated with the Philips name, interfacing to Echo. Immediate regret, quick return for refund. 1) Boxes on the shelf do not have a tape security seal. One of two units purchased clearly had coffee or soda spilled over the inside. 2) Installation as desired, pairing with WiZ app successful. 3) Continual loss of connection to Wi-Fi on 2.4GHz dedicated channel, less than 1 foot away from unobstructed router — lack of connectivity confirmed by Philips WiZ support through the app. 4) Echo Plus recognized and added light strip to the home network of devices, but was never able to control due to “Device is unresponsive” error. 5) Attempts to verify and correct issues with technical support via chat in app were essentially useless. All return messages came after 11pm EST or later. Elementary school troubleshooting. (Is the device plugged in? Restart router and lights. Etc.) Fantastic light color/output, extension strip worked without issue. All other important features (connectivity, control) made this an easy return.

I own 3 of these throughout my home and plan to get more. Plugs in and the lights look beautiful. The stickiness is great and I’ve had no problems with the strips falling off. The app pairing can be a bit weird at first. But once set up with schedules for each strip that you have, the whole mood of my rooms has improved. If you aren’t able to have under cabinet lights or can’t afford to get them professionally installed, these are a great alternative. Colors fully customizable. I use them also for my office and my work days just got a whole lot better in there. Highly recommend!

This light strip is wonderful to add different light patterns to your room. It is controllablel by an app or different smart home applications so you can control the lights from anywhere on your phone!! The starter kit includes a strip and power adapter and the strip comes with an adhesive on the back so it takes you a few seconds to stick on the strip and you are ready to go!! The strip is also flexible so you can stick the strick to any flat surface. The possibilites are endless on what you can do with this light strip

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I'm very happy with the lights and the smart features. The installation is easy and intuitive. The single button control is small and discrete. I liked the sticky adhesive stickers on the LED strip and the controller. The set up process with the wifi was quick by downloading the app and entering the wife password when prompted. Initially I had problems completing the synchronization with the LED strips. However the app recognized this and prompted me to start a chat with WIZ tech support in the app. Within minutes they advised me to move the LED starter kit within 10ft of the wifi router to receive the full software update. It worked and now i have full use of the remote features.

You can get super creative with this light strip and get a lot of different and cool lighting options out of it. I built a sound studio and wanted to put lights behind sound panels I installed. Very easy to set up and control using the app

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) A great little starter kit at 2m but easily extended by just plugging in another section. This product was fitted within 10 minutes and maybe another 10 downloading the app (iOS or Android) and connecting it to the wifi. It is literally plug and play out of the box. The lighting it gives off is really bright to work by and easily changed to different brightness, different colour temperature and lots of different colours depending on your mood. I set mine up above the kitchen counter, and it works there great. And looks really good turned down on an evening as mood lighting

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) There are so many different kinds of LED Light Strips but not enough of them have smart features. This Wiz product hooks up to the app, and is a breeze to sync and function test right out of the box. Took me a lazy 2 minutes and had everything setup with the device and my phone. Great Packaging kept all the items separate, and no small pieces that need to be screwed in anywhere is a great plus. The strip lighting comes with 3m strip tape which is a must when it comes to strip lighting, and the sensor has 3m backing strips on it as well which is great. The Phone app has a colour chart where you can fly your fingers across it and it picks up the colour choice really fast which was definitely entertaining. The app was very user friendly and was comparable to a lot of the other smart lighting apps like Kasa, LG, and Telus. Usually I can find something bad to reflect on about a product however this is exactly what I would imagine when shopping for an LED strip light for 2m with smart connectivity. I haven't found exactly where I would like to install this item yet, from under the bed, to behind the TV, to under some stair lighting or above our entertainment unit to highlight some small gaps and make spaces look bigger. This product could definitely have a lot of fun uses!

Adjustable length with the ability to add additional strips. I have had a small issue with the male to female plug. This should have come with a clip to hold it in place. Overall this product works well. Adds additional lighting with is both clear and soft. Very easy to install and the 3M tape provided on the lighting was strong enough to secure the strip to the underside of the countertop

The light is so thin that it could be used even where the counter does not have a 'lip' to hide the light source. The length of the light can be increased with extender strips, or shortened by cutting off excess length where shown. The push-button switch allows for easy 'blind' access by reaching under counter. An app is available, but this was not required for my application. I prefer bright white light, but there are four colour options.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have always found seeing while working at my work bench in the garage difficult due to poor lighting. I placed a strip of Wiz, 1600 lumen lights over my work bench, under the upper cabinets. They provide great lighting, by illuminating my projects. An additional benefit is that they eliminate shadows that were previously an issue. One improvement would be a remote, to allow for on/off, or changing of colour without cycling thru with the button on the box

There are many features on the app for light themes which you can change from your cell phone (it’s like using your phone as a remote which is very handy). The colors are beautiful and can be as muted or as bright as you like. I tested out the Daylight and Nightlight to see the difference and find the Daylight Theme works very well on a wintery/cloudy day which made me think it might be useful if one suffers from SAD. The Nightlight Theme (as well as the other colors) is very nice as it gives the room a nice glow. I really like the fact that these lights don’t use a lot of electricity. I placed the lights on top of the window trim behind the curtains to add a muted effect of the lights which worked perfectly. I also think they would work great under kitchen cabinets (uppers and lowers) or integrate it with lighting on a tray ceiling. The only Con I can think of is the instructions aren’t very clear but the manufacturers website helps. Also, the directions make it look like you can cut the light strip to size and all parts will light up. The only part of the light strip that will work is the one that is connected to power. But all is not lost as you can buy connectors for the part of the light strip you cut.

We installed the light strip on the top of our kitchen cupboards because wanted accent lighting and something that doesn't use much electricity to use as a night light. There were several things during the install that we discovered that could be improved on...one the brown cover paper over the sticky tape came off with the sticky part leaving no sticky on the light strip. We had to work to separate the brown paper from the sticky without removing it from the light strip...then the light strip did not stick that well to the top of the cupboard. And two after installing the wiz software on my phone I had trouble connecting the light strip because I thought it was a light; but in the end it is considered a plug by the software. That could be made a little clearer in the instructions. Other than those two troubles we are enjoying the light and the convenience of being able to control it through our phones. I would recommend this to anyone looking to buy strip lighting.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The strip light gives off a variety of colours, temperatures and dimming functions. The app is relatively straight forward to use. It is nice that the strip light is compatible with Google home/assistant. Those are the positives. Unfortunately, there are too many negatives to recommend this product. The strip light is not two meters long. Maybe the power cord combined with the strip light is two meters long but just the strip light is one meter+. The two sided tape that is applied to the strip light would not hold so had to buy a roll of better two sided tape. The multi pin plug that connects the strip light to the DC driver is poorly designed and disconnects too easily. Wish I could have given this product a better review because I like smart home devices.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) The light worked right away when we plugged to electricity it but the issue was getting the pairing with the app. It was complicated to do. I had to restart the process mutltiple times, it took 5 trials, it was always stuck on connection initializing but we finally were able to connect it. Once than the connection issue, everything worked fine, good product. Would be great if it was possible to connect multiple LED strips together to make it longer.

PROS: the strip is easy to install, the various light color selections are easy to scroll through by pushing the button repeatedly until you get the color you want. The strip is fairly thin which keeps it almost invisible if placed under a counter. And while I didn't try it, the ability to simply cut the strip to the length you need is a good idea. CONS: the lights mount by way of a strip of 2 sided tape, which means that wherever you mount the light is where it will be stuck. If it's on a wall or ceiling, that means peeling paint off if you every want to remove it. The light strip get's connected to the power cord and switch by means of "pins" at the end of the strip. These "pins" seem to be flimsy and are not the best type of connector to use, especially if this product is to be expanded or moved, and if so, I don't see the pins lasting without having connection problems down the road. The manufacturer chose a very poor placement of the information "tag" which is embedded in the tape along the light strip. Not good. Overall, not a bad light strip, but there are some limitations.

Overall Rating: Average PROs: - Lots of colour choices - Easy to assemble CONs: - Pairing with WIZ Connected App not as straight forward as it could be - Adhesive is terrible - Not very bright (even at 100% brightness) DETAILED RREVIEW: I recently received the WIZ Light Strip Starter Kit to test and review. The packaging is fairly standard (as is expected of Philips), all parts neatly in their respective areas. The product is fairly simple and straightforward; comes with one (1) 2m light strip, one (1) AC adapter and one (1) controller (along two pamphlets, one providing some "installation" instructions and one providing instructions where to get the app). Assembly is simple, just connect the light strip to the controller, making sure that the positive end of the strip matches with the positive end of the controller, then plug the power in and viola all done. The strip will power on to a warm white setting; there is a button on the controller which will cycle through some preset colours. So far so good. With the strip rolled up, it seems decently bright. Next download the WIZ Connected App; which like the light itself is fairly easy to setup on its own; The app guides the user easily to setup a home and create a room. I was a little surprised that there was no "login" association, however after a home is setup there is a section under the settings to link the WIZ account with either Google, Facebook or Yandex. I think it would have been a little more intuitive had this step been done initially, as part of the initial setup (not everyone would go poking around at additional settings right away). Once the initial setup is done, we are able to add products to control; and this is where things get a little weary with the WIZ LED Light Strip; although the instructions on the APP are quite well presented and are step by step, they just are NOT catered to the Light Strip specifically, but rather are generalized to ALL WIZ lights, which (in all fairness) are mainly bulbs which would (presumably) be connected to a physical switch which can be turned on/off. The instructions say to turn the light on and off 3 times in quick sequence; considering that the button on the controller cycles a few times before getting to the "off" state, it was a little confusing (least to say), until I realized (after several failed attempts to connect the light to the app) that to turn the light on and off 3 times in quick progression I would need to physically connect and disconnect the power. That worked and the light was successfully added. When it came to actually installing the light strip (I chose to place it behind my TV, as ambient lighting), the 3M self adhesive is extremely weak; there is virtually no hold; I had to cut out new double sided tape to get the light strip to stick (and stay). Once that was all done the results are pretty good; there certainly are a LOT of different colour options, along with a fair number of pre-defined themes. However once the strip was all mounted and stretched out the intensity is not as bright as I had hoped. I had turned off the room light to be able to see the ambient light behind the TV, however with the light coming from the Christmas tree it was barely noticeable, I had to turn the Christmas tree off also for the light to come through. Overall the WIZ LED Light Strip is not a bad option for some ambient/mood lighting, I would not use this for any purposeful lighting (such as under cabinet valence lights, etc.).

Simple peel and stick installation to areas desired. Trim-able strip at indicated locations, clearly shown in instructions and on LED strip. Adaptable to different installation scenarios. App setup procedures easy to follow and intuitive. Automatic pairing of app to lights did not work after two tries, manual pairing worked fine. App features a multitude of settings to control lights which is impressive and function properly. Adhesive mounting for manual controller and LED strip appear to be of good quality, ability to hold bond to be determined. Past experience with other brands of LED adhesive backed strip lighting has been disappointing. For cabinets without a light rail moulding this system is a very good solution. Clips for securing wiring from control module and power cord would be a nice addition to the package. This product was installed on the underside of kitchen cabinetry without a light rail moulding and is non-obtrusive. The light spectrum ranges from the standard warm white, day light, cool white to custom white setting. Lighting of the countertop work surface is excellent during daylight hours as well as at night. The light effects from the App give pleasing lighting scenarios.

The continuous glue strip helps positioning it very fast I like the different colours and brighter LEDS, thinking on placing all around the house. Have some difficulty pairing the device over the WiFi as not sure what tag is under in the app, it does not call for a LED strip. Also would like to know the max strips to connect without affecting the product.

There were some setup issues that could really frustrate a user new to smart home products but after that the product worked flawlessly. Read on for more details. Setup: This was the main reason for not giving it a five star rating. The app itself seemed well designed and user friendly. I started off by skipping the account creation which surprised me since most companies make this mandatory. I did later create an account for convenience but this is a nice touch for people wanting to skip this and start using the product immediately. I clicked the typical + icon to add the product and expected to see something like LED light strip but that did not exist. I took a look at the product info and it says to choose lights so I proceeded. However, immediately it requires you to manually enter your WiFi information. There are much easier ways to do this so don’t understand why I have to type the entire SSID. After this it attempts to discover the light and fails. It then proceeds to tell you how to put it in manual pairing mode but all the instructions don’t make sense for this product. Eventually I just figured out I had to hold the button on the light strip until it started pulsating. After this, things went smoothly and it was able to join it to my wifi. The company really needs to work on making this setup smoother because it could be a non-starter for a lot of people. Functionality: The Wiz app has many pre-programmed colours and light settings. It is also very responsive when you make changes. The other feature I really liked is the ability to have local control. So if the internet is out or there is a service outage you can still control the device if you are connected to the same network. The one feature that I’ve seen in other LED light strips that this one doesn’t have is the ability to make you own custom colour change modes. You can customize one colour but can’t setup a series of colour changes. Integration With Smarthome: An important feature that drew me to this product was the integration with SmartThings and Alexa. I hate having to open multiple apps to control things in my house. The integration with SmartThings was flawless and easy to setup. It worked immediately and worked perfectly with Alexa as well. Product Characteristics: The LED light strip itself has excellent colour range and brightness. The density of the LEDs seems better than other light strips I’ve seen. All in all this is a great product, you just might need some patience when setting it up!

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Set up was super easy to use right out of the box. Connect the strip to the power source and your good to go. The control that comes with has the capability of turning the light strip on off and allowed you to pick a quick colour. The push button does. It allow access to the 16 million colon that are available. Those colours are available through the WIZ app either IOS or Android. I use iOS and it was easy to use the light strips for what I wanted to used it for ( Plant Growth ). The app allows you to connect to the light strip and access the 16 million colours as well as multiple other features. I chose to cycle my WIZ light strip on a plant growth cycle of 18 hours in and 6 hours off. My plants seem to light it at this point. I canning find any cons to the light strip up to this point. I would recommend this product.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Overall this product is fantastic! The app is very easy to use and has almost endless colour options for this product. The one criticism I have for this product is that the adhesive tape is not strong enough to carry its own weight. I originally stuck it to a painted wall and the ends of the product lifted immediately. I removed it and stuck it to a vinyl baseboard and the adhesive tape worked quite a bit better although it was not able to support the weight of the power connection. I recommend using a 3rd party adhesive tape and placing some on the back of the power connection at the LED tape to prevent the product from pulling away. My kids would love to have this product in their rooms!

Guaranteed to keep all the monsters away and your little one sleeping through the night. Very simple installation, multiple colours and brightnesses makes it a very good product for many different projects and applications . Initially I found it a little complicated to pair the device to to the app. Which is the only real downfall of this product, everything else met or exceeded expectations. Once paired there is plenty of great features on the app.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Had this Wiz led strip lights for about a week now, led strips are made with high quality material, bright enough to illuminate the area applied. Hung this around the couches for added effect during movie nights. Advertised as 1,600 lumins which is fairly bright. So many different colours choices, downloading the Android app (can use is app too) and very easy and simple to use. The best part is no hub needed to use. You can even extend the strips by buying additional strips that easily connect to see extend the lengths. The only downfall is they should have implemented battery operation with Bluetooth for portability, connects via wifi , Bluetooth from app. The power supply should have also been longer only allowing 3ft to the nearest outlet source. Overall great product and would recommend for sure.

These Philips Full Color LED Strip lights work with the WiZ app. I have some other Philips light that also use that app and I have been quite satisfied with it. It integrates with Google Home so I can use voice commands from my phone by saying things like "OK Google, set LED Strip to 100% red" and the light will turn on red at full brightness. I mainly use the circadian rhythm setting that automatically adjusts the warmth or coolness as well as the brightness of the light throughout the day. The light can be changed from warm to cool (temperature in Kelvin), any RGB color and there are dynamic programs that change colors and intensity to simulate things like light from a candle or holiday themes. The app has a ton of other options as well that make it integrate with other Google Home or Alexa enabled devices. The LED Strip itself looks and feels very high quality to other led strip lights I've used. The quality of light appears a little better too as it seems a little more diffuse and less harsh to the eye. The strip can be cut roughly every 5" where there are 6 copper pads where connectors can be added. There's a thick clear cover over the entire strip which will need to be removed around the copper pads before adding conectors. These work best as part of a smart home system. There's a push button on the control box but it's very limited. Pushing the button will turn the light on when it's off but to turn the lights off you have to push the button 4 times, cycling through different modes.
