I'm not using this product for what it was intended for, but I am not strong enough to use more conventional means to brace a huge bush that fell during the ice storm. The crooked trunk was cracked but not broken. I have the scissor jack supporting the trunk and expect to leave it there for good. It worked, and since it is rust resistant, I think it will work indefinitely. You can't see that I braced it because the branches drape all the way to the ground, but the bush looks fine now and is growing fine, no problem.

While I was using this Jack, it failed, dropping my car to the floor of my garage. The Jack collapsed. This product is poorly constructed and the metal is too thin. This product is dangerous to use! Do not purchase this product!

As a jack, it does the job without any complaints. The jack handle stinks. I’ll be looking for another handle.

Only lifting about 600 pounds and crank very hard to turn using the complete extension.

I bought the scissor jack to use on my boat trailer in case of a flat tire or when I need to do bearing maintenance. Instead of unpacking my truck jack I wanted a light duty jack that I could get at quickly when I needed it. The price looked very good compared to others I saw online and at retailers. When the jack arrived at my home around Christmas it was missing the handle and I returned it to Home Depot and re-ordered another one. The new one arrived with the handle but I noticed the base bracket was not parallel with the jack. I tried it out on my boat trailer and it worked smoothly with no binding. The fact that the bracket was out of line with the jack was cosmetic only and had no effect on the function. I decided to keep it and gave it 4 stars because of the bracket issue. Users should keep in mind that the jack is not rated for 1-1/2 tons throughout the full stroke of the jack.

Very similar to the car manufacturers lift, with one important difference: more surface area on the ground for uniform weight distribution.

This seemed like a no brainer - I needed a jack to be able to change or remove a wheel from a car. Since few cars come with one any more, this should be an easy choice. The first time I went to use this jack, I didn't even get the car lifted high enough to remove the wheel and the handle bent and snapped apart. Now I had a new quandary. How do I get the car DOWN??? I wound up having to borrow a jack from a neighbor. This was a waste of money. The handle that the jack comes with is NOT FIT FOR THE USE INTENDED!

I really like the extra wide base. Gives the jack more stability. The folding handle makes raising the jack a lot smoother and quicker. Low enough for cars, but raises high enough for trucks.

The product arrived on time and was given as a Christmas present. It seems to be working good.

The 1 1/2 ton rating is greatly exaggerated. If you have a small compact car this will work to change a tire, anything bigger forget it.

The screw mechanism is of poor quality, doesn't easily operate, seems to be slightly stripping. Probably will be good for 10-20 uses.
