Great bit! I was surprised to see it lasted longer than many others I've used and on this particular job the mortar was thicker than usual.

The grinding wheel I received was distorted such that the plane of the grinding surface wobbles. As a result, the surface finishes I get are very bad and I get a lot of vibration in the grinder.

Excellent grinding wheel. I saved hours of time removing old petrified carpet glue off a concrete porch. The grinding wheel and good PPE allowed me to make the floor perfectly smooth for a new plank tile.

Not used yet , bought 3 grinder units for the price of one purchased from home depot . It was a one time need to level the concrete pathway near the church steps where someone tripped and almost fell . Ridged is a quality tool and I have no doubt as to how it will perform .

I would give it zero stars but that wasn’t an option. I had to grind down a lot of curb that was causing a trip hazard. All this product did was bounce and was hard to control. To gain control I had to grab the housing of the 7” grinder and press down with everything I had, not to mention that I had to be neat and shape the curb as I ground it down. Then I bought the Makita, which is so smooth that an athletic 12 year old could operate it. It hugged the curb and had no vibration. It cost $14 dollars more but I didn’t care. I bought 3 more of these to complete the job and save my body. The Ridgid is obviously a poor design, and I assume that all of these good reviews are from users that have never used a blade other than the Ridgid. If the only car I had ever driven was a Yugo, I would live out my life thinking I was driving a good car.

Did what I needed to get done, grinding uneven concrete very quickly and very little wear.

I used this grinding wheel to clean up a concrete floor prior to leveling. This wheel easily cut into the concrete and in no time the floor was clean as a whistle. The extra row of grinding segments is well worth the higher price.

This masonry grinding wheel performed exactly as promised and better. I was quickly able to smooth and level my cement basement floor to make the tiling project look much more professional. It does make a lot of dust, I recommend you add a dust mitigation device when using this in a confined space.

Used this for several hours of cutting through extremely hard 45 year old concrete. I was amazed at the cutting ability of this small disk and also by the fact that it does not seem to have dulled any noticeable amount.

Purchased this to grind some uneven areas in concrete and it worked better than I would have ever hoped. I thought about renting a machine, but decided to try this first because of the high cost to rent. I hooked this puppy to my old Milwaukee angle grinder and it was awesome. Saved a ton of money and I could do work at my convenience not the rental companies leisure.

Used this to level and feather edges on self leveling cement on patio. This disk is a beast and I mean this in a complimentary way. You'll need a garden hose if outdoors as it generates an enormous amount of very fine concrete dust. A good mask is essential (not the Mickey Mouse cheap mask- you'll need an aspirator type mask) if you can't hose the grinding down. Get a second person to spray while you grind and the job goes super fast. Use a good quality angle grinder. A long extension cord will trip a 15 amp breaker if you're not careful in how much load you place on the grinder. Strong recommendation for this disc.

I used the grinding wheel to prep a concrete fire ring to be polished. It removed material fast with minimum wear to the wheel. You need a good size grinder to work with the wheel due to its 7" diameter. I used it with water to keep the dust down and was able to get the look I wanted faster than I anticipated.

I used this to remove 100 pounds of thinset mortar from 150 square feet of concrete floor. This diamond cup disk stayed cool enough to touch after the grinder came to rest using it dry. Cuts fast. Some wear occurred to the leading edge, little wear otherwise. While grinding it sounded like a 24-tooth combination saw blade. This grinding disk operates smooth and produces a fine finish. I could grind the thinset mortar thin enough to see through with this disk.
