Work very well for mixing crete in a 5 gallon bucket for concrete countertops. The variable speed wheel on the left thumb was great to control speed once the right trigger was locked. The physical stress was much less than a drill and paddle mixer.

Great tool, I love the fact that you can control the speed with a bultin button in the handle

All in all it is a good tool and does perform the job. You better rinse it out after every mix and it will be looking good a might keep it running longer. It feels a little heavy after using it for some minutes. The lock switch is a little trick to engage but again, good tool for the money

I am happy with the performance of this mixer so far. I have mixed tile mortar and tile grout with ease. Plenty of power and easy to handle.

This bad boy is a beast! Defiantly worth the money and I don’t have to worry about burning up my drills.

Honestly a decently capable mixer for the price, I don’t think I could complain. But I think for a little more bang for the buck, maybe they could have included a reversible driver, as sometimes I mix things in both directions. This wouldn’t work exactly, with the paddle included, but some of my other paddles have been used in either direction and work well.

It's great when it works. I had another one that quit working, bad switch? I hadn't used it that much. I forgot to register it so I couldn't get it fixed without paying for the repair. Lifetime guarantee is worthless. Used HD credit card to buy it and brought it back to the same store, no luck. So I purchased another one. It's good so far. It's a great tool when it works. I lowered my rating because I don't think I got very much use out of the first one before it had problems. I should have only needed proof of purchase to get it fixed for free.

Did not make it through the first bucket of mix, died at the worst possible time

Very good tool it is a good choice

I needed to mix alot of concrete, 7,000 pounds, over weeks, for concrete blocks, 60 feet down an embankment. Mixed the concrete in a 5 gallon bucket, first mortar, then the concrete. The task was to pour concrete in the block cells. Mixing other ways meant we had to then transfer that to bucket to lift. Twice the work. This mixer is a dream. Half a sack each bucket,,, lift and pour. It is not a drill and mixer blade! And not a comparison. It is geared, and the speed is very controllable.

Worked perfectly to mix up several batches of quickcrete without a cement mixer handy. Made a several hour job turn into only a single hour job.

Strong. Adustable speed. Easy to use. Used for mixing tile mortar and grout.

I used it to mix bags of Stucco. Works great. Has lots of power. No issues at all mixing, dry or lumpy stucco into a smooth mixture. Easy to clean. Another great tool from Ridgid.
