Small footprint, great for grabbing and making quick cuts on various materials. Saw balance in the hand is quite good, reducing fatigue. It does require some pressure to plunge the saw for making cuts, which is the only way the tool can be used.

It’s hard to make exact cuts. I need to use it more. It Works as described in the reviews I read.

Having already owned several Ryobi tools, this was a no brainer. Easy to assemble (blade and cut guide). Lightweight. Takes a few tries, but getting the safety/trigger engagement down gets easier.

Works great, If I had to complain about anything, it would be the inability to lock it into plunge mode. Having to replunge each time is a minor inconvenience . Otherwise it's an excellent tool.

Have over 180 plus tools and batteries and trust my Ryobi tools to do the job, haven’t had a tool failure yet so this plunge saw was a no brainer.

Perfect for smaller projects with less than 1 inch thickness

Handles very nicely, not that heavy with the battery attached compared to my other corded plunge saw. It comes with a guide rod for cutting straight; I tried it without it. To my surprise, it was spot on and did well. I bought it with the 0battery and charger as a combo package, it was cheaper. I have other Ryobi tools, so an extra battery comes in handy.

Good powerful saw. Easy cut 3/4" maple filler for cabinets.

If you already are into Ryobi tools this is a good addition. Good construction, only one complaint. I know this is made for a range of materials but a slightly larger blade would make it more versatile.

Does the job that I purchased it to do great these Ryobi tools are just as good or better than the higher priced ones great tools

Didn't get three inches into 1/2 maple plywood before bogging down and stopping. I thought it would up my output, but I plan on returning it.

First time using it was so easy to get the job done. and with three different material blades you can do so much.

Right tool for the right job!! This RYOBI 18-volt Plunge saw is perfect for cutting plywood and other thin material, no sense pulling out a big saw when this one is easier to handle with plenty of power with an 18-volt battery, no cord to get in the way, can't beat that!!

Easy to use and small enough to take anywhere. Not having to bring along heavy cords when doing small work inside or out is an added plus.

Plunge type saw that does not quite even cut an inch deep.
