Pollution Free
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this for this winter 2021-2022 snow storms. It worked flawlessly removing snow from our decks and sidewalks. Am able to lift it up to upper deck which I could not do with our gas model snowblower. Worth the money in the long run.

    Better than expected!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I thought this would be great for light snow, boy was I surprised! This past winter seen its share of snow and ice. This Snow Thrower got a workout, and passed with flying colors. It is so easy to manouver and store. There were several instances where I did mine + 3 other neighbors driveways + sidewalks on one set of batteries.

        Great deck snow blower
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This machine is a powerful little blower for keeping our raised deck clear of fresh snow. It struggled a little bit but overall it compares to my buddies gas Honda deck blower. Likes our Sierra fresh snow but needed the gas Honda track for our Sierra cement, lol. Keep up the good work Ryobi

This snowblower is ok. The power for being battery run, is decent. It will throw snow out the front as well as the shoot and the sides of where the shoot attach to the body, so the machine gets covered with snow. Some of the parts are plastic, and not well designed. Initial charge of the batteries can take up to 24 hours. It's good for smaller spaces. Forward momentum will come to an abrupt stop if you reach uneven concrete.

          Not great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this a year ago, didn't get a chance to use it until these last couple of months. It jams and clogs easily. When it does work it's awesome, but the auger is so weak it can't handle more than a couple inches.

            Poorly Designed Electronics
I have no idea how well it works, because mine never did. Took it out of the box, ran for a few seconds, shut off, retry, same results. Ryobi says they have never heard of this problem. The service center Ryobi sent me to had truck loads of them with the exact same issue (bad motor controller). They can't even get parts to fix them.

Two units died after one use.
Second unit died in one day. First unit worked great for one snow, then would try to spin up and quit on second snow. Battery wouldn't charge so factory sent out new one after first snow. Returned. Second unit did the same thing but wouldn't even attempt to start. Really liked the way it worked when it did - light, easy to control and threw well either with light or wet 4" snow. Son also bought one for large driveway and loves his. Will hold off on buying another until they get their quality control improved.

            Just stopped working
I bought my Ryobi snow blower just before Christmas 2021. I loved how quiet it was and how I didn't have to worry about it starting in the cold. I used it three times with no issues. however I went out last month (Feb 2022) and the machine just stopped working. I made sure I charged both batteries and tried again to no avail. I took off the battery holder to see if it had gotten wet and couldn't see anything. I have looked online for possible solutions, however, the RYOBI website is no help.

Used for the first time yesterday on wet snow. pushed the snow and didn't throw it very far. Also the nut and washe from one of the folding arms fell off. must have been loose. now I need to replace it!! No idea where it fell off.

Motor overheat easily requiring you to wait for cool down. If your not blowing full width of blower snow exscapes out side. Returned it.

Snow was too wet and it clogged up. Next snow was too powdery and it blows back in your face.

                Satisfactory so far
It was delivered before it was promised. It assembled easily and seems to move snow well. It is going to take a larger snowfall to know for sure.

                Best Snowblower
We bought it in November 2021. We finally had snowin January and February. I charge my batteries indoor and keep my batteries indoor before I have to use the snowblower. I do my driveway, and pathway easily with one charge. We bought and extra pair or batteries just in case but we never used them. The snowblower is very quiet and very easy to start. My dream. This snowblower is the best for me. Very easy to use and very easy to recharge. And also it can fold to store in my garage.

                  Update! Still a great machine.
I admit had some issues with it prior which spurred me to contact Ryobi, which they were very forthcoming in their response. They took my concerns to heart and did right by me, earning my future support! The customer service from Christian and Alex were stellar and can not be commended more. The unit moves snow, and that's what matters most! I look forward to their mower series this spring, cause grass don't cut itself!

                    Don’ buy this!
It’s like a toy! I bought this on clearance sale after winter. When the next first snow came i found out it too weak like a toy.

4th use and now it freezes up
Has a thin plastic body so it's light and folds up like a suitcase and can fit in a truck of a small car if needed. It comes with 2, 40v batteries and blew snow really well at first. Fully charged, it blows snow 10-15ft. Very easily change direction snow blows with lever on handle. (Probably its best feature). It is not a self propelled blower, but because it is light, pushing is easy. Blower hole does clog so you're constantly clearing the shoot hole. Until Denver's last two snows of 2-3in, I saw the issues as minor inconveniences. The last two days it snowed and when I used, it worked for <10min and stopped. Then started for 10secs and stopped again. Then worked for 5secs and stopped, for good this time. I called Home Depot and they say lithium batteries don't do well in freezing temps? That's weird BECAUSE ITS A SNOWBLOWER.... He recommended I remove batteries and take inside to warm. I did, but also have other fully charged batteries so I started charging the cold batteries inside and took the new fully charged warm batteries out and inserted into blower. It worked for 5mins and completely stopped and wouldn't start again. It appears both machine and lithium batteries are affected by extreme cold..... $600 bucks and got a practically brand new wimpy snowblower that doesn't like the cold.... Now okay, it was 0 degrees yesterday and 4 degrees today so I'll give the machine some benefit of doubt for that. But I'm still surprised a snowblower freezes.

Hello, Witness - We are sorry that you received inaccurate information regarding the usage and storage of the snow blower! The snow blower can be used in subzero temperatures and stored in cold garages. However, when storing your batteries, please do not store them in temperatures less than 50 degrees or more than 100 degrees. For more information about storing your batteries, please refer to the battery's manual. And we would be grateful for a chance to discuss your experience further to see if we can provide you with a good solution! If you would, please reach out to us at Reviews@RYOBItools.com. Good value for the money
Packaging: Box was kind of flimsy, and had to be retaped during loading. Assembly: Pretty easy, snow chute gave me a little trouble. The bolts at the base of the handle need to really be tightened down, otherwise the handle will be quite loose. Battery life: Clearing a standard length (~ 100 ft.) two car driveway of 3-4 inches of snow uses about half of the charge of the included (2x 5 Ah) batteries. I also like the auger speed adjustability, which can help the battery life quite a bit.

We had hoped it would handle more robust snow, but it works well for smaller lighter loads. We love the batteries and will need to use it more frequently if heavier snow is predicted. One of the wheels is squeaking already, but a little WD40 should take care of that easily. Very satisfied.
