It doesn't last very long. I have a small yard .15 acre and it never lets me complete both front and back while sometimes it doesn't even let me complete one of them.

I bought this as a replacement for the discontinued 5Ah in my mower. I tried to upgrade to the 6Ah, but it wouldn't fit in the compartment. The new 4Ah has a slightly different shape than my old one, so it is a bit more of a challenge to fit into my mower. I know my mower is older, but it shouldn't be difficult to find a battery that fits well. It seems like planned obsolescence to make peopereplace a functioning mower.

The battery does not stay charged. Very poor battery.

If you buy this battery please save the receipt and packaging. I would suggest returning them once a year or every few months. They don't last, I am on my third failed battery in the last two years. The quality does not meet expectations and the sad part it I am stuck with two Ryobi tools (mower and leaf blower) that either I pay ransom of $180.00 to keep replacing the batteries or buy another brand and start over. Disappointing

I have one 40 volt battery that just stopped working. How do I get it replaced?

Battery works great.

When I first bought my mower I could mow twice with a 6ah battery. Now it takes a 6ah and two 4ah batteries. I went through a drought for two years and hardly used the mower. Bought the blower and weed whip as well as a chainsaw. Two of the batteries won't even charge now. They last 3yrs and 1 month. I stored them inside the house and followed the directions for initial charging. Batteries are garbage and now I can not mow my lawn. Lot is 133ft by 72ft. Do NOT buy!!!

Ryobi batteries are apparently trash now. Used this less than 10 times in under a year and it shows as defective. My original 10 yr. old battery still works, but wanted more capacity. Don't bother calling Ryobi in canada for support or warranty, they don't call back and the wait times are forever. Found video for reset that looked like it would work, if Ryobi didn't lock out access to one of the screws on cover. Will never buy Ryobi brand battery again, appears they have outsourced.

A bit pricey; although, it seems to be in-line with other companies of similarly quality tools. Good battery life. Kind of weighty; though, it helps to balance out the whole string trimmer tool.

Unlike previous years, this battery does not hold a charge and is far too expensive to be wasting money on something of such poor quality

These batteries seem to overheat. Original battery seems to be better. It’s still nice having extra batteries.
