All the hot water a family of 4 could ever use........on demand! Green hasn’t failed me yet.... and just replacing after 11 years of faithful service.

Water heater installed over 2 months ago. Overall I am pleased with the performance. I have found that it takes a bit longer for the water to become hot at the faucet than with the tank style heater and wish it could be set a few degrees hotter than the upper limit for the furthest away shower.

Works exactly as advertised just what I was expecting.

The heater itself is good, but beware the availability of service and parts. Texas recently had a multiple day cold snap and the unit froze. There are two small plastic elbows going in and out of the heat exchanger. Because these cracked, the entire unit is lost. Rheem decided that two small plastic elbows that should be less than $5 repair parts is not worth it. They won't even sell the entire heat exchanger as a replacement part. You have to buy a WHOLE NEW UNIT. so for $1100 I got 2 months of usage out of a unit that is supposed to be designed for external installations. Because of poor design, or even worse, poor customer service for what should have been a SIMPLE replacement part, you have to buy a completely new unit. Save your time and money and buy a different unit. Don't count on it surviving the occasional drop below freezing.

Works great, heats water very quickly. I got the outdoor heater. Been down to 8 degrees F and no freeze. I bought the pipe cover kit and installed it. Also put pipe insulation on pipes and put fiberglass insulation inside the cover. Installed a light bulb too and have plugged it in on very cold nights. Plan to stop using that bulb after adding another layer of insulation. I am probably over doing it but being cautious. The heater gets the water hot very quickly but I have many feet of pipe between heater and faucets. I plan to replace that pipe with a 1/2" pipe that goes direct to faucets, this will result in less time to wait for hot water. Should have though of this during the install, but can do it later.

I gad a plumbing company install this, just to be sure it was done right. It is way better than a tank water heater. So far, no issues. Ran it for 30 minutes, stayed the same temperature the whole time. Well worth the $$
