I keep getting a message that the side battery door...
I keep getting a message that the side battery door is open and it is not. This camera is mounted 12 feet in the air completely away from anything that would cause this to happen. I paid to have it professionally installed and have had to pay 2 additional fees to have them inspect it just to find nothing wrong. Picture is crystal clear and it is very sensitive to even the movement of squirrels.

We recommend to factory reset your Spotlight Cam. Press and hold the setup button on the top of the unit for 15 seconds. Next open the Ring app and setup the device.

        We, too, believe that nighttime motion detection and video are very important, since this can be when we feel most vulnerable. Please know that Ring takes your security and peace of mind very seriously. We are here to be of assistance and find a solution to this dilemma.

        Certain models of Ring devices have a night vision feature that allows you to see through the camera in low light conditions. By using infrared light, the camera can create a black and white image that is then beamed to the Live View in your app. By turning the color night vision feature on, the camera will use whatever ambient light is available to try and create a "false color" image in your Live View. This lets you get a better sense of what's happening in the image by creating a false sense of color depth.           We want to thank you for your business and the opportunity in serving your home security needs. The Ring Spotlight Camera is designed to connect you to 1080p HD video consistently and reliably. We understand how important the video feature is, as this allows you to see your visitors.

          Poor video quality or connectivity can sometimes be caused by a wifi issue. We recommend running a distance test in order to discover what video resolution you are receiving at your router, compared to how it performs when mounted. For the best results, please do the following:

          1. Remove your Ring Camera from its mounting and bring it into the same room as your wifi router.
          2. Be sure you've turned off your cellular data and connected to the same 2.4GHz wifi network as your Ring device.
          3. Open your Ring app on your smart-phone or tablet.
          4. Trigger a motion event on your Ring Camera.
          5. Examine the resulting video.

          There are two possibilities that will occur during the distance test: the device will have crisp and clear video as it is intended to have, or the video will still be of poor quality.

          If you find that the video is clear and you are connected fast, then we recommend improving the wifi signal to your Ring camera by connecting it to a wifi extender, such as the Ring Chime Pro. However, if you find that the video is still of poor quality or takes too long to load, then you will want to address issues with your wifi speeds.

            BUYER BEWARE - a monthly subscription is REQUIRED for all Ring products. You receive a "free" trial period but after that, the camera is just a real time camera. It does NOT record unless you subscribe. For these, you should buy an extra battery and charge the batteries before connecting the solar. The solar is not enough to charge it initially. Save your money and buy Yi instead!

              Ring gives customers a complimentary 30-day trial with each new Ring device. After the 30-days, you can choose if you would like to purchase a Ring Protect Plan or not. A Ring Protect Plan is not necessary to view real time notifications on your Ring cameras. Without the Ring Protect Plan, you can still use the live view and two-way audio feature, you are still able to see who is at your door and answer motion notifications. In order to see past recorded videos from your ring device, you will need the optional Ring Protect Plan, which starts at $3/month per device or $30/year per device.               The front camera has always had issues. Even though it sits on the sun all day, it seems to always be low on battery. The other camera works just fine. It has never had a low battery. And seems to always be having issues reconnecting to it. It's sure not an internet issue since it's the only one I continuously have issues with. The others work just fine.
