Have had this unit for 1 year. Biggest drawback is we have to wait forever for hot water to make it to our fixtures, wasting gallons and gallons of water in the process.

Takes longer almost 2 minutes for hot water to flow consistent versus 15 yr old electric water heater

We installed 3 months ago and are very happy with the unit. No more running out of hot water from the tank! Best hot water solution on the market!

We like that it saves space and energy. Been using it for about 7 months.

The best part is never running out of hot water. The only bad thing is that it takes a long time to heat up in regular sink and lavatory faucets.

It’s compact, silent, efficient and fast. It’s good looking too. I have enjoy my Rinnai water heater for 4 months.

Had a gas/propane water heater most of my life. The rinnai works as well if not better. The problem with all water heaters in a single story home is that whatever is far from the water heater gets cold water for an inordinate amount of time. Have used an autocirc pump in a previous home and will eventually get one for the rinnai. Without it way too much water is wasted.

Our former Bosch tankless water heater was only about 4-6 years old & died two days before Christmas. We got a Rinnai AND with a remote, digital inside wall unit about a week later. It heats up faster and stays at the temperature compared to my last tankless water heater. It also looks better & has a practical inner design which makes it easier for annual maintenance to be flushed if necessary.

I've been in my house for 10 years and the system was already installed. I loved the fact that I never run out of hot water no matter how many are using the system. Unfortunately I was not told about servicing the system at purchase so when my water began feeling feeling warm and not hot, I had to call for service. The process was easy however there was still a 2 week wait before getting a technician to come out. Once he did, it was evident what the issue was and the repairs were made quickly once the parts were ordered. I was then given proper maintenance instructions and have not had any more issues so far.

Our 1st experience with tankless. We like that we're no longer concerned with a tank which might leak. We wish the water would heat more quickly when temperatures outside are below 50 ℉.

Steady supply of hot water and the my power bill was drastically reduced.

The Rinnai brand is apparetly the best. The people who installed it said they would rather install one of these and have little issues afterwards. For me, it heats the water, the digital thermostat works as described. We set it hight and had to lower it, which is very easy. I set it at 120F and measured it to right at 120F.

AWESOME BUILT IN COLD WEATHER PREVENTION, VERY EFFICIENT , EASY TO USE

I am a single mom so putting out the money for a tankless water heater was a huge deal! My water heater was done and I had to make a choice. I decided to go with the tankless and very thankful I did. We are never out of hot water and more than one person can a take shower at a time!

We been using our Rinnai in our new home and we are very happy with it.

We've had the unit about 6 months. I can't really tell about energy consumption yet. The unit saves space by being mounted outside. The risk from improper ventilation and water leaks is avoided. The wait for hot water is minimal. Unlimited hot water is nice. When replacing a unit, you have to upgrade ventilation, etc anyway so the difference in cost over a tank heater is not that much. I would insulate the pipes very well since ours froze when it got down to 0. I thawed the pipes out and it worked fine. Overall I would definitely do it again and am adding units to my rental properties.

Brand new and the igniter failed, the company rushed out a replacement part.

I have had four Rinnai products and never had a problem with any of them.

i like the fact that it only heats the water hen I need it but my unit is not very efficient because it takes very long for the hot water to be get where I'm needing it. This system would be better if there were multiple smaller units closer to where the taps are located. The only room that really benefits from this heater is our master bathroom; the kitchen, the laundry and every other bathroom (3x) are all very taxed to get warm water - especially in the winter. We don't like wasting so my wife collects a 5 Gallon bucket full of cold water before the water in the kitchen even starts to warm up; we use that water to water plants. I suspect all our water lines are 1/2" diameter, to slow the water flow down, so that the Rinnai can keep up warming it, which, in turn, is restricting the water flow to the taps. I'm very disappointed in the results, although I must say, we've never run out of hot water, like we used to do with a traditional water heater.

We have been loving a Rinnai water heater for 20 years. Recently we purchased a new one thinking it was having problems but it turned out to be another plumbing problem that was effecting our hot water. The new one works great.

We just built a new home. We had tankless before. HOWEVER, this time we got the recirculating pump. HOT water instantly 24/7. No waiting 30 seconds to a minute running water down the drain. With the water here $$ and the sewer charges $$$$, this has cut down on both. Our Rinnai has been perfectly dependable for the 3.5 months we have been in our home. In fact, now our sons have both had them installed in their homes.

We had the tankless water heater put in about 6 months ago. It is on the outside of the house but does not distract from the house as it is very stylish. It is nice to have a tankless water heater and we are very happy with it. There is one thing that has happened that is not that big of a deal but should be mentioned. When we have it on the highest heat setting the water is hot but then all of a sudden it will turn ice cold after about 3 minutes, then if you shut the shower off and wait a few minutes to turn it back on you will start getting hot water again but then it turns cold again so you have shut it off again. When we turned down the heat by 5 degrees it seemed to solve the problem. Other than that, we are very happy with our purchase.

We have had our Rinnai for almost a year. We don't even know it is there. We have reliable hot water without worrying about running out.

Unit installation is near gas supply to our ranch house. Kitchen is at opposite end of house. It takes lots of running water to get to warm/hot water in kitchen. Wish there was a booster for long distance demand.

The unit was standard equipment for our new house. I like the fact that the unit is located outside of the house. It should be a little easier to adjust the temperature.

I've had my Rinnai for approximately 9 months. I've never had a problem with receiving hot water. It may take a little longer to receive the hot water versus a conventional holding tank but I love the fact I NEVER run out of hot water. I live in South Carolina and my Rinnai is mounted outside my home. We had 4 days over December and several more this January in which our temperatures dropped below freezing. My tank has not frozen once. What I can say is if you are buying a tankless or moving into a new neighborhood who's offering tankless, don't go with a builder's model. Pay the extra for a more top of the line Rinnai. You'll be happier for it.

Rinnai Tankless water heaters are very efficient. The unit are small enough to occupy less space with endless hot water only when needed. We're very happy with the performance & quality. Thank you.
