I fitted it to my Greenworks STF457 with included hardware. Set it to low speed, #1, and off I went. It was dandy cutting through small saplings and vines and brush. A few things I got through were, probably about 3/4" to 1" thick, wood. Took it easy, a couple of times the auto stop mechanism triggered on some tomato cages that were vine covered, but started right back up when I released and reengaged the trigger. Really had a jolly old time chopping up the overgrown garden. Worth the price!

Earlier this year, we focused on clearing ~ 20 weed trees from our property. These invasive trees steal water from the natural poplars and pines and, worst of all, here in Maryland, seem to be in a symbiotic relationship with invasive vining plants. Since we cleared them, this summer has been a nightmare. We call it the revenge of the trees, and they sprout up everywhere. A pro Echo gas trimmer did NOTHING. It took me 5 minutes to install this and < 1/2 hour to knock out 100s of saplings.

I want to start off by saying that the manufacturer explicitly does NOT recommend using this on electric string trimmers, and I’m sure there is an excellent reason for that. So anyway, it fits the Dewalt DCST920 20v String Trimmer, and it’s a game changer. Much more affordable than their 60v trimmer and brush cutter attachment.

This is the best Attachment for your weed eater. yes you can maybe save $3 Ordering something similar online but it doesn't come with metal tips the tips aren't replaceable in the overall built quality is much better in the examples that I've seen as well you can't replace the head as easily as you can this one. Rino-Tuff Brush Cutter Head purchased at Home Depot ($19; May, 2023). *Remove bump-stop spool from DeWalt DCST990 (Type 1) 40V Max Lithium Brushless String Trimmer, and mount the Rino-Tuff Brush Cutter Head. *Only tool required is a screwdriver to keep the head from spinning. *Reviews and comments online say things like "Rino-Tuff Brush Cutter is not compatible with battery operated trimmers" but it DOES work fine on this battery operated DeWalt 40v Max.

This Rino-Tuff universal fit brush is well-made and the blades appear to be made of steel, possibly stainless steel. They are encased in a plastic sleeve so you cannot use them for edging as the concrete or brick may damage the plastics and cause them to break. They are stamped so they have a flat edge, but there is a sharp corner from the stamping process. They are NOT for battery powered trimmers, only gas. Replacement blades are also available if needed. I would recommend this cutter head for commercial owners or residential owners with tall brush and weeds.

Rino-Tuff replacement head for weed eater/trimmer is made for a gas trimmer, not a battery-driven trimmer. The trimmer is super-duty and will cut down much larger and more dense weeds than the little battery powdered trimmers like I use around my front yard for edging. I have a small stream in my backyard that grows much larger and tougher weeds/brush. If you have an area like that, then this is the replacement head you need. The brush cutter head is a quality-built unit that comes with easy instructions for installation.

I was skeptical that this would work being mainly plastic and I thought it would break fast, but it has exceeded my expectations and works amazing. I was able to install it on my 18v Trimmer . The blades have sharp metal edges and could easily cut brush 1/2 inch thick. I love that I was able to install on my electric Trimmer because the box does say not for electric trimmers. I show a video on how it cuts and also did a installation video. You do have to be careful cutting around concrete. Highly recommended.

Rino-Tuff - Rino-Tuff Universal Fit Brush Cutter Replacement Head for Straight Shaft String Grass Trimmer/Lawn Edger works good on small brush with my Stihl FS-KM, eats that small brush up quick. Don't bother using this on areas like a stone wall or rocks where the blades will slam into the rock or anything like a metal fence pole, they will mangle the blades. This is much better than string for small brush, heavy weeds and vines!

Easily fit on my Craftsmen 4cyl gas weed trimmer, This is a great trimmer head that saved me so much time trimming an overgrown yard for a client. See before and after pics.

In order to swap out the blades you have to remove 3 screws and lift off the plastic top. The problem is that it's cheap plastic so the impact of use jammed it onto the metal nut and I have to use a power saw (again) to remove it off my trimmer. There won't be third time.

Bought this for my stihl fs55 and went to town on the mess of blackberries covering my back fence/yard...ate through them with ease, no issues just ate em up, even up to 1” thick stuff

Cuts okbut its still plastic

Easy to install, cuts well with larger stalk weeds and grass. Good quality for the price, easy to change blades as needed. Not a very wide cutting path but very easy and to work with.

The head was fine. However, it didn’t fit my machine. After reading the instructions it said only fits straight shaft. Mine isn’t straight. So, although well constructed, didn’t fit.

I have a lot of bark-y style weeds, to thick for string, can't get the rider in there or it's rocky/tree root area. Not big enough to justify the pole saw. This product works perfect for this, it also cuts through normal grass and weeds without a problem. 5 min to install on my echo makes it even better.

This thing works perfectly. Better than expected.
