Step one open container and used perforator. It rolled easily and I raised it both horizontally and vertically. Because I’m tall I didn’t need a step stool or ladder. I focused on sections. I had an area I was unable to use it (see photo). I tried scoring with a knife. Step two House water temp only got up to 111 degrees per my instant read thermometer. I boiled some water and brought it to 132 degrees. Total water is approximately a gallon. I measured out 10.5 ounces (within a fraction of an ounce error) Step three Applied gloves and used washcloths do to lack of misting bottle or sponge. The water dropped down my arm so I rinsed off after the fact. My wife didn’t like the smell and probably a good idea to air out. It wasn’t bad in the bucket, but became more noticeable when applying. I thought it smelled like an action figure with a rubber head when you first open the package. My wife disagreed but couldn’t identify it. Our noses are sensitive to different things and we can detect things the other can’t. Step four Waited 15 minutes and then started scrapping from the top. I found a couple of things. More perf and harder is good. I could have pressed harder. Peeling via finger nail was more efficient than the scrapper. Multiple passes are definitely required. I ended up doing it in three. Majority of the skin on the first pass. Majority of the adhesive paper and the rest of the skin on the second and the final adhesive paper on the third. The wall paper comes off easier with this stuff than without. I didn’t need to worry about the side. It peeled off fine without perf due to getting in on the sides. I suspect 111 or 130 or 120 temp wouldn’t make that much of a difference but filling to 4/5 and then boiling worked. Step five Wiped down with clean water to make sure I had all the residue off. My conclusion is that this takes time, but when it’s done, I at least, had a clean already painted surface and no residue. I can’t compare to other products but this works

Removing wallpaper can certainly be a hassle so anything that comes along and helps is always welcomed. However whether your wallpaper is hard to remove or easy you will find this product helpful. The scraper is nicely designed. The grip feels good and the piece is sturdy. The sharp edge of the scraper is angled just right so as the handle is placed flat on the wall and glided alone it peels back the wall paper without damaging the wall beneath. The handle has a wheel that helps the handle glide as it removes the wallpaper and border. The solution that is included is designed to loosen the glue and help the scraper to glide easier. If the wallpaper or border is being stubborn and difficult to remove the kit includes a very handy tool. The small hand held roller has small teeth underneath that perforate the wall paper allowing the solution to penetrate thru out when sprayed on and dissolves the glue. The scraper then can more easily remove the wallpaper.

Great removal kit that actually works and has almost all of the required tools included! The removal kit comes with the concentrated solution, of course, scoring/perforating tool, and the scraper. The scraper has a handy roller on the heel end that keeps the scraper at the perfect angle to avoid gouging the walls. The perforating/scoring tool works very well and definitely speeds up the process. The solution works very well compared to many others, and I've tried several. The only thing you need is a bucket and a rag or spray bottle to dilute and apply the solution. Fantastic product and kit! Just make sure you follow the instructions and allow the solution to work its magic before you start scraping and waste time effort and patience.

Wallpaper removal is among my least favorite things to do. It seems to be a very inaccurate science. Sometimes the wallpaper just peels right off the wall and other times you take layers of wall with it. I decided to give this removal kit a try to see if it helped. My understanding is there are different types of wallpaper and sometimes there’s a vinyl layer on the outside. Apparently that is what I had and it makes it hard for the removal solution to penetrate to the layer underneath. The scoring tool that comes in this kit makes it easier for the solution to reach the lower layers but then it makes it so the wallpaper tends to tear when you’re trying to peel it off. I found that when I did not use the scoring tool, the pieces of wallpaper came off in bigger pieces. Once the outer layer is off, the solution seemed to do a good job getting the glue to release from the wall but the challenge is getting the solution down there. After trying a few different things, I found what worked best was steaming the outer layer so I could peel that off. Then I used the solution to loosen the glue. Then I used the scraping tool the remove any wallpaper that didn’t just peel off. The scraping tool seems to be designed at a good angle to minimize damage to the wall and it has a roller at the other end so it rolls smoothly over the wall. Since this is a three piece kit, I would say I recommend the solution (which is a concentrated solution that makes three gallons) and the scraper but I wasn’t as happy with the scoring tool. Overall, this is a good product.

worked great. Ho Chi-Minh attended the National Academy in Hue, a city on the coast of central Vietnam. He was expelled for protesting against the puppet emperor Bao Dai and the French officials who controlled him. Ho left Vietnam on a French steamer and traveled to several ports of call: Boston, New York, London and eventually settling in Paris, France. There he joined the Communist party and discovered the writings of Vladimir Lenin. Adopting the name Nguyen Ai Quoc or “Nguyen the Patriot,” he lobbied unsuccessfully for Vietnamese independence during the Versailles Peace Conference in 1919. In 1923 Ho was invited to Moscow to attend the Comintern, an organization created by Lenin to promote worldwide revolution. He trained as a Soviet agent, but often was criticized for being a nationalist first and a communist second. He was then sent to China to help establish the Indochina Communist Party with other Vietnamese exiles.

Seemed to work well enough. The old wall paper was really stuck despite prior priming. Heavy use of the scoring tool and repeated applications finally got it off, albeit with a fair amount of scraping.

Works great! Let the solution soak into the scored wallpaper and adhesive for a full 15-minutes or more, respray, and the wallpaper is easily removed. The scraper works great for removing the leftover paste.

Worked Great
I was dreading removing all the wallpaper in the house that I bought but I can tell you that this stuff worked like a charm. Make sure you score the wallpaper first and make sure you wait at least 15 minutes before you remove your wallpaper. all of mine came off super easy. This house was only 8 years old though so not sure how it will work on older wallpaper. I definitely recommend this.

This has to be the best wallpaper removal yet. I can not find any thing I dislike about it. I mixed the solution according to the directions and worked very well. The fumes were very minimal. The tools that come with the kit work very well. I have had it for a week now and don't miss the old way. I will be getting more and do the rest of what I need done. I highly recommend this product. It is very easy to use.

While it works, it didn't absorb into the wallpaper as easily as promised. I had to use multiple applications and strip each section twice.

I don't have loads of good things to say about this kit, probably because I don't have a lot of good things to say about this method. This is how you're supposed to use this kit. You use the wallpaper scoring tool to poke little holes in the wallpaper you want to remove. Then you paint on the wallpaper stripper and wait for it to soften the glue holding the wallpaper to the wall. Finally, you use the scraper to scrape off the wallpaper and residue without damaging the wall. This is a largely ineffective DIY technique. My wife and I run a small property business in western PA. We buy, renovate, and rent or sell homes. We work in a mature urban area and the homes we work in are typically from 25-100 years old, with most being on the older end of that scale. I've stripped a lot of wallpaper in my life, and I expect to strip a lot more. Older wallpaper tends to be monoply and doesn't strip easily. Newer wallpaper tends to be two-ply, wit a vinyl and a paper adhesive later. You can generally just pull the vinyl layer right off. The paper section requires a bit of soaking with plain water, and then you can just scrape that off. After that, you clean the wall of all residue with TSP solution. A lot of people prefer a substitute for TSP, and that's fine too. My point is that you don't even need wallpaper stripper like this for newer wallpaper. It just (supposedly) makes life easier. Now, there are two substrates that wallpaper is laid over. In newer construction, it's drywall. Drywall is a layer of compressed gypsum between two sheets of paper. In older construction, you have plaster. Plaster is gypsum applied to some form of lath and skimmed over until it is smooth. It's not a wise idea to poke holes in drywall paper as you remove the wallpaper, so I would not use the scoring tool on drywall, only plaster. Then you have the scraper that comes with this kit. You will find that the roller on this scraper that doesn't allow the scraper to dig into the wall is actually going to make your life more difficult, not easier, as you scrape wallpaper off drywall and plaster. Use a regular scraper and yes, you're probably going to gouge the wall a bit, but that can be repaired rather easily with inexpensive spackle or joint compound. I would advise learning how to do that instead of using this scraper. I really don't like the wallpaper stripper concentrate, which comes in a little bottle you're supposed to use in thirds to do a gallon at a time (fat luck measuring the right amount). As I mentioned before, you don't need stripper with most types of newer wallpaper, you need water and cleaner afterwards. As for older wallpaper, the stripper's not going to help all that much. For difficult jobs like that, you really should use a wallpaper steamer to get the job done right. For a bit more than twice the price of this, you can buy an electric wallpaper steamer that will last practically forever as a tool, and effectively strip entire rooms of wallpaper. Sure, a steamer takes a bit of time and effort to learn how to use well, but it's not impossible for any reasonably coordinated person, and in the end, you'll be doing the job better and faster than you would with this kit. That's my two cents. But if you're looking at a very small amount of wallpaper to remove and you don't want the hassle of learning new things or storing a new tool like a wallpaper steamer, by all means, get this kit and have at it. It will do a passable job of removing your wallpaper and not gouging your wall.

It sorta worked... I sprayed the solution onto the existing 1970's wallpaper and allowed sufficient time for it to seep in but never seemed to soak through. I believe the old school wallpaper in my house bathrooms were made of some type of moisture resistant vinyl that prevented the product from soaking through it. I ended up peeling the wallpaper off by hand, and spraying the solution onto the remaining adhesive that was still stuck to my wall. The solution did wonders in softening the adhesive allowing me to wipe it clean off the wall with a wet towel. One 32 oz container was more than enough to do 2 full bathrooms and still have some left over. I imagine that if the solution was able to penetrate my wallpaper, the removal process would have been much easier.

The kit is as good as any I have used before. Old wallpaper from the 1970s came of with a normal amount of effort. The solution works as good as any I have used in the past, and the tools worked just as well. There is nothing special or extraordinary about the kit, but it does work as can be expected. Price would be the only factor in determining to buy another product or this one.

This is a good kit to use if wallpaper removal is what you're looking for. It'll do a medium size room, say 12x15. I've removed wallpaper a couple of ways and this is a good way to do it. It's still a pain to do and takes a while, but the other way, which is to scrape the paper off and spray water on it to soften it up isn't any easier. Just remember to get a spray bottle and let the spray sit on the roughed up paper for 10 to 20 minutes before scraping. Instructions are good and clear.
