Great products over the rust Metal

You seldom have enough of this product on the shelves?? Had to go to three HD’s to find any. Let me guess. Supply chain?

Painted/primed metal roof on garage. Rustoluem is the only product I use for exterior trim and paint. It's the only paint that hold up longer than two or three years without fading or chalking.

This paint is great to cover white metal doors as a primer. This Paint goes far, only used a quarter of the gallon to paint 2 garage doors. I wish we could have had the paint mixed to the color we wanted, but we made it work by painted over it with the exterior house paint color matching our trim. This paint is worth every penny.

Bonds great to the steel. Drying time is great. Just a great product.

The rusty metal primer brushed and rolled well. I particularly like that u have the same product in a spray can for those hard to reach areas.

This is great stuff. I have been using it for years on unusual projects like a 1941 PRR caboose body and the chassis of a 1946 Chevy pickup truck. Follow it up with one of the Rust-O-leum colors and you have a surface that will last a long time.

Used to prime metal bathroom stalls that didn't all have same or correct kind of paint on...sanded good areas slightly, corroded areas as much as possible and used 2 coats with a 6" cabinet roller for nice base coat for the topcoat enamel paint. Make sure you leave 24 hours between coats and 48 from last prime coat to topcoat for best results (especially if humid, leave a little longer). Suggest wearing disposable gloves for less mineral spirit clean up on skin as splatters little dots as rolls.

Trust name and I got it at a great price. It covers a great area and the color it came as a primer looks great. It's easy to apply and hopefully it will take care of my cellar door for many yrs to come.

The rust-oleum primer covered really well after I prepared the surface. I applied two coats due to tank being outside and no other protection from the weather. I then applied two coats of rust-oleum dark green finish paint. Tank looks a 1000% better. I was afraid paint would not stick or cover very well. No need to worry, covered very well and looks great.

I used this product on a metal deck that was crying for maintenance. With proper preparation, which is just as important as the quality of the product used, it is an excellent product. The only downside is the strong odor which persists for a few days. However, it is a small price to pay for the protection it delivers.
