[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We just bought this and installed it. The one thing I wish was different is that it’s easy to lock yourself out of the house with the bottom lock. The reason for this is that if you turn the bottom lock to lock on the inside you can still push the lever down to leave. If it stayed rigid while locked and didn’t allow you to turn the handle up or down from the inside when it was locked it would remind you it is locked. I find myself turning it on the inside and then checking the outside to see if it’s truly locked or unlocked. I am sure I will eventually memorize which way to turn it when it’s locked. I like that it comes with longer screws to make it more secure. The finish seems nice.

My house was built in June, 2021. Anout August this set was installed (black finish) and I came here to find a replacement since the finish appears to have partially oxidized or worn off. Only one person uses this door and it hasn’t seen much hard use, it is on a west facing door from my basement.

I installed this hardware maybe a year ago, the dark color is wearing off already. It's on a door that's under a large overhang so it doesn't get hammered by the elements.

Great deadbolt & handle lock for detached garage

Looks great and works well. Schlage has good quality doorknobs and locks. This one looks great on our new door. We are very happy with this purchase.

Yes, I highly recommend this knob and deadbolt. I purchased about a month ago. After the first replacement ( different brand) was so difficult to use, it caught when trying to turn, lock or open. I like the great quality of the Schlage knob and deadbolt system so much I purchased a second one for another door. I will not be buying any other brand again, it's Schlage for me all the way.

Ever notice how every 10 years or so everything is made to a lesser standard of excellence? ... well this is one of those things. I'm replacing a 15 year old brass lock that looks very similar. The old one was a Pegasus Brant from Home Depot with a lifetime warranty that they seemingly dont support anymore so i'm buying a replacement. Its super easy to install. What the picture doesnt show you is the exposed screw heads on the interior faceplates that make is more idiot-proof than higher-end versions. I got it today. Installed in about 20 min. Had to adjust the strike plate a bit, but they dont get easier to install.

Plastic parts. Handle continuously falls off. Won't stay on, falls off after a few uses. Disappointed. Went to change sides of lever handle and now when we turn to use the handle it ends up in our hand. Keeps falling off. Average price, but I should have paid more for a good one. I lost the receipt so looks like I'm out of luck. Disappointed.

Installation was super easy. My husband had it on our garage door in 5 minutes. Looks very nice.

Very easy to install

I had 3 kids, 2 cats and a dog running around me and I still put this in easily. It was a little more expensive, but was worth every cent. It looks good and works smoothly.

This deadbolt door set is everything I wanted, and easy to install, even for a rookie like me! It has totally perked up our front entrance. Since I installed it a few months ago, we have had many positive comments. It has met every expectation, including more peace of mind. Love it!

I expected it would take at least an hour, but he had it installed in 20 minutes! It looks great, operates great, and it feels strong and solid.
