The foam is much better constructed and you can feel the difference with the CoolGel. It keeps my Heater Husband cool as he sleeps when he normally sweats through everything. I have bad hips and it helped me keep in a comfortable position with little assistance from extra pillows. The cover is plush giving it a better feel under your body than just having the topper. I would most certainly buy this again knowing how well it performs & will be recommending the Sealy 4" CoolGel Memory Foam Mattress Topper w/Plush Cover to my friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wanted to like the Sealy 4" CoolGel Memory Foam Mattress Topper with the plush cover, but it just wasn't what me and my husband was looking for. First lets talk about the good. It surprisingly had no odor. It was tightly compressed in it's shipping package, but it fluffed up to a perfect rectangle in less than 10 minutes, I was very surprised it happened so quickly! I was also very worried about the cover fitting a deep pocket mattress, but it fit easily with room to spare. (With the topper and cover, our mattress was 19 inches deep from top to bottom) The plush cover sides were actually very stretchy to be accommodating to all thicknesses of mattresses. Unfortunately, we just didn't like how it slept. First of all, it sleeps VERY HOT. I assumed with a name like "coolgel" it would be cooler, but no its just as hot as any foam topper. As a side and stomach sleeper, we sank in too much, and it offered no support, so it was putting our sides and back in an unnatural position because of it- causing pain. I had to end up taking the mattress topper off after 5 hours of sleep, because I was in so much pain. It also took a lot of effort to get out of the bed as well once you got it in, because you were sank in so far. It literally felt like I was trying to get out of a big pool of putty. Also, we noticed in one corner how there was a chunk missing out of the foam. I don't think it was ripped- it looks like there were air bubbles in the manufacturing process. (There is also non-uniform holes throughout the topper, that makes me think it's also a defect in the manufacturing) Lastly, I feel like the name is really misleading, because it's actually a 3 inch memory foam topper, and the cover offers the extra inch to make it 4 inches. All in all, I just couldn't sleep on this. I love a nice soft bed, but this just offered zero support, and was extremely hot sleeping. For those reasons, I wouldn't purchase again, and I can't recommend for anyone.

It fit just right on my mattress, after removing the protected layer wrap the mattress topper rolled out smoothly and easily. The mattress topper cover was real easy to put on as well. The cover is also so soft and nice feeling. This mattress topper is amazing and the cool gel keeps your body so nice and cool. I definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for great quality, comfort and the nice cool feeling you get. You won't regret it.

I love sleeping on the Sealy Plush Standard Gel Memory Foam King Mattress Topper. This topper is 3 inches thick and helps to preserve my mattress. When I lay on it, it contours to my body. It does not lock in heat, and it bounces back to its original shape when I get up. This mattress topper was a king size and fit my mattress perfectly. I am still able to place my sheets on my mattress and they fit and stay down over the corners.

The pad has helped my back heal after an injury. I certainly didn’t want to buy a new mattress as a trial to help my back. This system has made quite a positive difference. I just bought a second pad for our mountain cabin.

It came with a very bad smell that did not go away for weeks, and also comes with a very poorly made mattress pad. But the worst is that it developed a rip the length of the topper shortly after the return time period. I am a single girl in a king bed that is average size, I have bought probably 4 memory foams toppers in my life and love them, this one is the worst and I do not recommend it, I thought the brand Sealy was good and that is part of the reason I chose it.

This is very soft and comfy and returns to shape quickly when you change position. I would have liked it slightly firmer,.

Wanted to by this a couple years ago………..Husband says why did you wait so long! LOL

it is so cozy and so much easier for me to fall asleep. Easier for me to get out of bed also. It met more than my expectations

This is the best mattress topper I've ever had. We purchased the optional cover for it and glad we did. Both products made our bed feel better than new. We did let it air out for a couple days in a spare bedroom since the odor was pretty strong out of the box. I didn't notice the smell after a few days. We are super happy with our purchase.

It very heavy chemical smell and we had to air it out for 10 days before we could put on our bed. Also it is not cool/chill as the name suggests.

I had my doubts about a mattress topper but I am extremely happy that I put those doubts aside and purchased one. The 2” is perfect for comfort. I highly recommend getting one if your mattress just isn’t doing it for you anymore.

No it did not meet my expectations. I had to return it because I was horribly sick after sleeping on it for one night. The chemical smell...ODOR was horrific. I tasted it in my mouth for two days and I had a very bad migraine for one full day! I had to wash ll my linens on the bed because the smell stayed in the sheets. Please do not even consider buying this nasty product. I am so glad that Home Depot allowed me to return it within three days of buying it!

Very nice product very comfortable. The only complaint is the pad that stretches over the cushion is not long enough to stay totally secure.
