This mop drives me absolutely nuts. I expected so much better from Shark. Whoever designed this should be canned. You can’t hang it in your closet like you do your brooms and other cleaning things. The handle is the wrong way so you have to just sit it on the floor somewhere in your closet or wherever.. The stream also does not come out evenly on the floor. If my lights aren’t turned on bright enough I will miss half the floor. I will mop and area and turn at a different angle and there is a sometimes a thin wet stripe down the floor and nothing else has been touched on either side. So I have to do it again and it takes more time out of my day. I never see steam, I just hear it. This may or may not be normal, I dunno. Don’t waste your money on this one. Just buy a higher quality and model or just use a different brand.

Got this as a gift AND IT WORKS. I mop probably every day and my sons feet still end up black after running around our home. I just mopped then used the steamer to finish it off and did my paper towel test to compare where I only mopped and where I used the steamer. NOTHING ON THE PAPER TOWEL from where I steamed!! Ofcourse the paper towel was dirty in the spot I only mopped. Totally works! I’ll let you mop my home for proof lol

No better than a paper towel. I’m so tired of buying junk that doesn’t do what it claims. Such a waste of time. Shame on you Shark. Who knows if it REALLY disinfects, if it cannot clean dried banana from under a high chair why would I believe you when you say it disinfectants too. 10 passes and it’s still there! Took a video but it won’t let me load it.

I Love it. Its my second one. Had the other for 6 yrs and it still works great. Recommend to my brother in law that just put in new wood floors to get one.

I purchased one of these Shark Steam Pocket Mops about 5 years ago. After 4 years it finally got to the point where I needed a new steam mop. At that point I decided to try a different brand that had great reviews and try it. Big mistake. That steam mop only lasted me about 6 months, and it just never cleaned my floors quite the same as the Shark Steam Pocket Mop. Thankfully I was able to find this same steam mop that had done so well and lasted me so long the first time. We have wood plank flooring, and it can get pretty messy with three young children. I love this steam mop because it uses steam to clean rather than chemicals which can be very overpowering sometimes. I also love that it has the double sides, so you can just flip it over and continue cleaning. There is always some slight streaking, but I haven't found a mop (steam or other) that doesn't have at least a little of that. Overall good quality steam mop and should last a while. Good value for the price!

I bought this and attempted to use it to clean an 8' x 12' room with a stone floor. It performed poorly. There were holes in the cleaning pad after 1 use. It was difficult to slide this across the floor in a straight line. The product had a head at the end that is so flexible that it turns when you do not want it to turn. It was not possible to get the edges of the room nor the corners of the room. This in noway met my expectations. Don't waist your time nor your money! I will be returning this to HD tomorrow!

After a friend recommended a Hoover Floormate Deluxe, I did some research before heading to 3 different stores to look at steam mops in person. The sales lady at Home Depot sold me on trying the Shark at this great price of $48, even though it wasn't on my top 3 list. Pros: I like the extended handle length since I'm a little taller than the average woman It is lightweight and easy to assemble with no tools The cord was long enough to do an average size room The handle was comfortable in my hand It's easy to hear the steam coming out when you push the mop forward Cons: The instructions say it only takes 30 seconds to heat up, but I found it took at least 5 minutes for enough steam to dampen the cloth mop head. I knew my floors were in need of a good mopping but the mop head only picked up some light - medium amounts of dirt. The mop does nothing for cleaning the grout. If I only needed something to do light surface cleaning and wanted something that lasted longer than a wet pad on my Swiffer, this might work. But I want a steam mop that will really clean the uneven surfaces of both tile and wood floors and this little Shark doesn't do that. On a side note, my friend let me borrow her Hoover Floormate Deluxe today. This machine has a clean and dirty water tank so you can really see how dirty your floors are. The dirty tank had dark gray water after cleaning the same surfaces I cleaned yesterday with the Shark. That's the kind of clean I want! However, the Hoover is heavier, took me longer than mopping does, dripped too much water, and had inconsistent performance on putting down water for cleaning. While I'm happy knowing how much dirt it sucked up, I'm still searching for the "perfect" steam mop for my home.

Works great, the wife loves it just like the old one that wore out! Made well and easy to handle! Shipped on time and damage free! Great product!!!

I owned and used a Shark Steam mop that lasted about 20 years. This newer version is junk. Don't buy it. Just after warranty ran out it stopped working. I had only used it a few times. It never steamed well, then just wouldn't heat up at all. I should have purchased the inexpensive extended warranty, but I did not. It still would have been junk, though. It did not meet expectations and I would not recommend it.

I returned it. Not the quality I wanted.

The Shark steam mop is easy to use and cleans the floor better than any other mop I’ve used. It exceeded my expectations.

The carpet steam portion, won’t glide over carpets!!!! Cost too much not to.

The steamer is ok but it's most inconvenient to not be able to shut it off and the cord is so thin it gets tangled up

My 3rd Shark Steam Mop. Water chamber quit heating on the last one. Shark does not sell that part once the mop is out of warranty. They have shortened the cord making it less convenient at times. Also, the mop head cannot always be used on a new Shark of the same model--it just doesn't work. Customer service is no real help on this--just buy a new one! It does a good job on my tile floors.
