Pros: price, ease of installation & programming, appearance, functions Cons: customer service after the sale from mfr., access to additional accessories Be sure you know exactly what you want, in the quantities you want. The manufacturer has been of no help to me. My 3 star rating is specifically due to the manufacturer's unwillingness to meet customer needs after the sale, NOT due to the ability of the device to do its job.

System did not work. Tech support was terrible.

I bought this unit 2 1/2 yrs ago. Been very happy w/ it. The reason for the YES. But all the sudden 2 door sensors stopped "talking" the ctl box SC-001. Battery was low @5V. Replaced and tried 2 batteries. Here is what it is doing w/ new batteries: sys does not respond to the opened door; the arm on SC001 LED blinks showing that some info is transmitted to the ctl box: the LED's on the sensors blinks like a logic encoded data has been assembled.. So the output power amp and the logic is somehow functioning. I would like Skylink to tell me if re-programming or something else is happening. I posted this review @ 10 days ago and home depot removed it after having posted it....what was the reason?

This equipment was pretty easy to install and seems to be working as expected.

Easy install. Had everything working well...including the Phone Dialer.

For the money, this was an excellent buy. Easy setup, components that automatically interact with each other upon setup, and fairly loud alarm siren are only some of the highlights. Very happy with the purchase.

Not as easy to install and program as expected. 2 panels to do sysytem and dail out is too much on wall.

Install was fairly easy . Product does exactly what it says. Very satisfied. Would buy again.

The instruction was confusing, need more details and quality illustrations, most of the time too much explanation just create more problem, most of the buyers were 95 to 99% home owners or small business owners and first time using this product, so comprehensive illustrations are the best to show how to the install the system.

I found this system to be very easy to install and operate. The instructions are easy to understand and follow. It was ready to use our of the box with very few changes. I just changed the main PIN number and mounted the door/window sensors and the motion sensor and it was ready to go. The auto dialer was easy to set up too. Changed the PIN number, programmed the phone numbers and the outgoing message and hooked it to the phone line. So far no false alarms or any problems at all. Thinking about getting another one for my parent's house.

Just installed this in our home and it works great. The sensors work great and picks up smallest movement. It is very loud and calls quickly the phone you have connected to it.

Initially the set up is complicated but once done works well. Very loud noise when the alarm sounds. Overall will be easy to use.

The Skylink alarm system is effective and a great value for the price.

The product container had mold in it that was embedded in the parts that wasn't to be cleaned off completely.

Easy to assemble. Works well and not too noisy. Instructions were straight forward.

I have only had this alarm for 45 days but so far it has performed flawlessly with great range and no false alarms. I especially like it's programmable features like putting front door, back door ,side doors and garage all in separate zones so you know what zone has been compromised. As far as the dial er it is set up for a land line and not many people have that anymore, there is probably a work around I just don't know what that is yet.

The system is easy to setup. If you want to customize the configuration, there are some options and they're not too difficult if you go slow and follow the directions. Pretty easy out of the box set up and works very well. The motion sensors work in low light just as well as in regular light. The window / door sensors are easy to mount and work well. I don't get any false alarms. I also installed the dialer which I use as my notification that the system was triggered. The only thing missing is the ability to monitor & control via the internet but it's a great starter system with a lot of accessory options.

We already had the system but the alert caller was fried when we had a storm, a door sensor went bad, and a remote was washed in a washing machine. We went ahead and purchased a whole system instead of parts and we have been glad we did. Once it is set up which is easy, it calls us on our cell phones if we have an intruder. Highly recommend it if you can't afford a monitored system, we are seniors and ADT is not in our budget.
