I would give this a zero if I thought it wouldn't get filtered out! I would give all zeros! The posts that are recommended for this gate do not fit! Home Depot does not even sell a post that works! I called to have someone measure what they had in a local store thinking the online order was just mistaken. For starters, it took over 30 minutes of teaching on the phone for two employees to be able to use a tape measure correctly to measure the diameter of the post. I actually felt sorry for them, but obviously Home Depot doesn't train anyone. They were nice folks and kept trying to give me the information, but sadly could not understand how to use a tape measure. I have since figured out that HD just doesn't pay attention to it's inventory. I will never do this again. I will wait, and drive somewhere else. Anywhere else. I have had this happen before with HD and decided everyone gets at least one pass. Too many passes later, I am done. How do you not know how to use a tape measure and work at a home improvement store. Shame on you Home Depot. You are a waste of my time and I will spend elsewhere, and tell everyone I know to do so too.

could not get right size post

10 years ago we obtained this fencing used. Although awesome, we had parts that needed replaced. After extensive research Home Depot was the only place we could find replacement parts. 10 years later we are enlarging our garden and again Home Depot to the rescue. Fencing and Home Depot get an A+

I have had my fence and gate up for about 3 years until the yard man tore the hinges off the gate moving an oversized lawnmower through the gate opening. Tried gluing the hinge back on but that doesn't hold so will have to order a new Gate. As to the complaints about the aluminum posts bending when hammering the posts into the ground, that problem is easily fixed by buying a solid aluminum rod which is slightly smaller in diameter than the aluminum rod that is going to be used. You create a hole with the solid rod which breaks any resistance cause by underground rocks or cement. Then you pound the aluminum rod in. Problem solved! The gate latch problem is also easily solved by using standard hanging light links that will fit over the decorative pieces that are at the top of the gate where it closes. It oly takes about 2 to 3 links and I used gold colored ones that didn't distract the looks too much. Black ones may also be available and may look better.

Depot stocks several simular gates that all have mounting hinges available. This one does not and those that Depot stocks are too big. We had to make them out of copper tubing. Most buyers would prabably not want to have to do this. Thus a low rating.

I was surprised how well made this product was. Heavy aluminum and strong. The only disappointment was that the gate doesn't really measure 3 feet as described. Still I was able work around it. Very happy with my purchase!

It was a bit hard to put up and it didn't like to stay closed. I thought it would be better than what it was. The latch isn't all that great. But it is a gate that matches.

The gate relies on support from posts and what ever they are secured to. The posts bend easily making installing the gate \DIFFICULT to place evenly or close enough for the inferior gate latch to reach. The gate latch is literally 2 inches long and slips into a U opening. Doesn't work expect to be replacing the latch, its useless. Don't both attempting to contact their customer service they don't respond. Looks nice in photos but adding in cement and hangers and a reasonable latch, there are far superior out there to this one for the same price range.

Had to take the hinge off end piece of fence to attach to the gate where the weld failed on the 2nd day of use. Otherwise happy with the setup and ease of installation.

We needed to create a small permanent fence to keep our dogs away from a certain area of the yard but have a gate that we can push the lawn mower through, etc. It is good quality and although it requires two people to put it together and a few tools, it is really nice.

This is a cute little gate which my husband installed and attached to the extensions that are also available. It works perfectly to confine our small dogs where we want them in bad weather.
