This One Tuff 24 in. x 100 ft. Floor Protection Roll is a must have, indispensable tool for any DIYer, whether for painting or any other messy project that involves a possibility of liquids spilling or debris flying likewise, when the floor protection is absolutely necessary. We first used it on the day when we set up to scrub and clean the tile grout in our bathroom. The industrial strength solution that we used, could have been easily transformed onto the adjacent hardwood floor and no doubt, damaged it, if not for this blue One Tuff Floor Protection Roll. This blue guy did an amazing job protecting our floors, created a terrific tight protective barrier and blocked all the spills and debris likewise from getting through and damage the floors. It was easy to use and handle and all that was done without the roll getting slippery. Previously we used some old rags, but of course nothing can compare to this One Tuff Floor Protection Roll. Its dimensions of 24 inch width as well as 100 feet length turned out to be just perfect for our layout. We are impressed.
The next project was painting and of course, we did one room at a time. We worked with the latex paint, and once again, we used this One Tuff Floor Protection Roll to protect the floors as we were going back and forth to gather some supplies. Once again, this roll was easy to lay down, in fact much easier than a bulky dropcloth that just gets in the way. This roll is lightweight yet surprisingly durable, absorbed all spills etc that landed onto it, overall held up real well.
All said and done, next we tried to place this blue One Tuff roll on the floor of our little pet corner, and so far it performed well, absorbed all the mess, so I guess it’s a keeper. We’ll be using it in our pets’ area from now on.
In conclusion, I highly recommend this One Tuff 24 in x 100 ft Floor Protection Roll for any DIYer or a professional alike, who wants to protect their floors while working on a project. More so, this roll is reusable thus a money saver by being used over and over again.

Excellent, durable, affordable floor protection
DISCLOSURE: We received the “One Tuff 24 in. x 100 ft. Floor Protection Roll” (item # 90100) free from Home Depot’s “Seeds” program. Home Depot only asked that we provide an honest review.
This floor covering is a double-faced material with a white, textured plastic bottom and a blue absorbent layer on top (see double-sided pic). It’s very thin and easy to unroll, but seems to be fairly tough and tear resistant. You can easily cut it with scissors.
We used it to cover our wood floors during a plumbing project and the water that spilled (at least a cup) was immediately captured in the top surface and did not penetrate through the bottom, so the floor remained dry. It survived having a dishwasher dragged over it without tearing (see “after use” pic).
When finished we let it dry, rolled it up, and stored it for the next time. We expect it will make a great drop cloth for painting as it will absorb spills better than typical plastic drop cloths. It’s also safer to walk on because the bottom layer is somewhat grippy, so the covering stays in place.
Note that It is not intended to provide impact resistance, but it feels like it would provide some protection from small drops or work boots. We combined it with “38” x 50’ Floorshell”, item # 12385, from the same vendor (Trimaco) which added significant impact resistance.
WHAT’S GOOD:
- Light and flexible
- Absorbent but prevents soak through
- Easy to cut with scissors
- Reusable
WHAT’S NOT:
- There’s nothing bad about this product!
SUMMARY:
An excellent way to protect any floor surface from dirt, paint, spills, drops and light scuffs. This also has applications beyond house projects, such as in the entryway during rain or snow, or anywhere shoes might track in dirt. Highly recommended!
The One Tuff 24 in. x 100 ft. Floor Protection Roll is an essential supply for every serious DIYer. It basically provides excellent protection for a floor for any number of projects including painting, sheetrocking, sanding, or staining. If a floor needs to be protected, this is the product of choice. We are using it to protect a hardwood floor in a room that is on the path to our crawl space. See photos. Previously we had used cardboard covered with towels. It was really hard to keep that pathway clean and the towels would continually slip. This material is thin, absorbent, does not slip nor is it slippery to walk on. Debris on it sweeps up easily. For painting this product is definitely better than a plastic drop cloth which may tear, bunch up, or present a safety hazard from slipping. It is even better than a canvas drop cloth that we have used because it does not bunch up so it is easy to move a ladder around on it without encountering a tripping hazard. As you can see from the photo, 100 ft. goes a long way.
The roll is pretty good at working its way into a "must have" when gathering tools for painting, dealing with sheet rock sanding or debris. Given that it's reusable, we're pretty sure there are future uses yet to be discovered. A 100 ft roll is about right for the product. It costs about the same as a gallon of good paint and soaks up the paint can "ring" well enough, as sell as other "oops" that happen. It worked well protecting our hardwood floors. It's a good buy and handy to have around.
I am so pleased with this product. I purchased it to protect my new hardwood floors from the movers as they delivered furniture to my new house and also for my appliance deliveries. it did not disappoint. I had no lawn at the time, just a pile of muddy clay for a front yard, and none of the mud the movers tracked in got through this paper. the waterproof backing worked like a charm. it was easy to lay down and tape together using standard masking tape for paper to paper connections and purple gentle painters tape for paper to floor securing. I even used it on some carpeted areas with great success, although it did move a bit-i should have used better tape. once I was done moving in, I rolled up the dirty pieces and tossed them, but kept the cleaner ones for more projects. I even used some new stuff to protect my dining room table from my kids while dying easter eggs this year! my two year old made a total mess with the liquid, but not a drop made it through to my table. this stuff has about a million uses in a house, especially one with kids. I'll keep a roll on hand at all times for various home or kid art projects.

In the past when protecting hardwood floors in my home, I have used Ram Board. This product is good for protecting floors but it has one serious weakness. Ram Board comes tightly rolled and that's the problem. Ram Board takes a set so that when you put it down on a floor, you are fighting to keep the product flat. The Trimco product may not be as rugged as Ram Board, but it is easy to roll out, cut to size and tape down. I have had Trimco down on my hallway floor for two weeks as I am repairing damaged walls and ceilings - skim coating, sanding, painting, etc. - and the product has held up quite well. I would recommend Trimco over Ram Board as the product of choice.

Wish I'd have known about this several painting projects ago. It is so much better than a drop cloth or plastic. This lays nice and flat and drips of paint do not soak through. If there are large drips, you can wipe most of it off and it absorbs the rest. Of course, if you're using a roller, you'd have to cover the entire floor to prevent spatter; but this is great at catching drips if you are using a paint brush.

This floor protector is an excellent product. I use it for painting mostly. It functions like the normal floor protector you can buy, but it is thicker, and more durable, making it re-usable. It is very hard to rip or tear, even with boots on carpet.
If you're planning on doing any dirty work in a house, this is a great product to use. When you're done with it, you can just roll it up and use it on the next project. Not 1 time use like the cheap thin stuff.

Great floor protector. Use it for plenty of painting chores with the confident feeling no paint or chemicals are going to get through. However I use it more in the home bike shop. I mount a roll above one of the benches
pay out the length I require and one slice with the box cutter and no worries about grease and cleaning chemicals on the floor and clean up is a snap

This product is good for using around room edges to protect floors while painting walls. It is fairly tough so it should last for an extended job. In my uses it did not let spilled paint penetrate to the surface below. It does have to be taped down. I would love to see this with a light adhesive along the edges, so you could stick it down and pull back up when done. It also claims to be slip resistant, so it may be of use when working on slick surfaces, but I didn't test that out.

Great product. Does not slip on a very slippery wood floor. Worked great on wood steps and prevented people from slipping with just socks on.
Liquid did not penetrate. Too bad it is not cheaper - could have used a lot more.

This product is very easy to use. It lays flat on the floor and is very easy to secure with painters tape. I am using it to protect hardwood floors during a winter move in and it has worked superbly. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for an easy to use floor protection product.

This is the stuff to order when you need to protect floors. I used it to cover new flooring when workers were cycling through my home during a remodel. It’s a plus that it stays down firmly but can be lifted up to allow debris to be removed as needed. Highly recommend. Wish it were stocked locally.
