Maria, Sorry for any misunderstanding regarding NanoPave JSS. The product serves two-purposes; it's designed to seal the surface of the paving material (stone/brick/concrete paver/etc), as well as stabilizing/hardening the joining material. Although NanoPave JSS will greatly reduce the chance fo weeds to develop, it is not a 'weed-control' product. There are a few things to consider if there is excessive weed growth; Make sure you have applied the correct ratio of NanoPave JSS (up to 100 sf./ gallon, but wider joints usually cover 40-60 sf.) and you're using a suitable joining material (all-purpose/jointing sand for joints up to 3/4", use a crushed stome mix such as a 1/4" minus decomposed granite in all other width joints)- concrete sand, chip rock and pea gravel will not work. In instances where weed growth is a concern you should use a pre-emergent weed control product before adding any jointing material and the JSS product. If weeds occur after installation remove by hand (you can also apply a post-emergent weed control product for added protection), replace any displaced joining material and simply apply more of the JSS to re-harden. In most instances these weed issues are related to the above mentioned variables, but there are certain conditions where Mother-Nature has the upper hand- but be assured, using NanoPave JSS will help reduce the chance of weeds developing, and is easy to make any needed repairs.
