The pipes are ok! Bring gloves as the surface is not clean at all, kind of covered in industrial dust/dirt/grease or whatever, unless you like dirty hands and a steering wheel, to boot.

The drill only made 3 holes in 1/2” steel. ...
The drill only made 3 holes in 1/2” steel. Purchased a titanium coated drill and drilled 8 more holes and still sharp. And coated one was less where I got it.
