It was ordered on a friday and went to pick it up the next friday. The quality of the welds were very good,( I was a mig welder for 35 years), the threads in the bungs were free of spatter balls, it has metal pushin thread plugs are installed in all 4 of the 2” npt top plugs and a 3/8” npt discharge plug on the bottom, the legs are 1 1/4” pipe legs that you supply. It was thick coated black powder coating which resisted scrathes while being shipped loose on a wood pallet. Overall i am very satisfied with the price, quality of tank material, welding of this tank, I think it was a very good purchase. I painted it dark green to comply with fuel oil storage.

First time ever changing an oil tank ourselves and it was very easy to do! Hardest part was taking out the old one!

OIL TANK RECEIVED IN GOOD CONDITION ARRIVING A WEEK EARLIER THAN EXPECTED. DELIVERY MEN WERE FRIENDLY AND PROFESSIONAL. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT.

Showed up extremely damaged and started to rust after sitting there damaged for almost two weeks before they finally picked it up to return it. Will not be shopping here again

Every old oil tank that I have ever seen has the outlet on the side, up a couple of inches from the bottom. These tanks have it on the bottom, this creates many issues. First, over time any sludge will be fed into the outlet, whereas with it on the side up a few inches this never becomes an issue. Second, this lowers the outlet so that many tanks have to have a thicker pad poured or longer legs are required. Third, which I feel is the biggest issue it that now with a 90 on the bottom, when you try to service the filter, it wants to swing around thus loosening the ell coming out of the bottom of the tank. Before when the outlet was on the side it is impossible for this to be an issue. I am willing to bet that many tanks over time will seep out of the bottom ell. Why change something that has worked for decades to something that can cause so many problems.

Product is as described. Shipping was timely and fairly convenient.

Good tank/s. Construction seems good. I recommend buying the legs...an add on. But they come with screw on flanges which I think is better than just the pipes sitting on a concrete( or other) floor. Note: if you are using more than one tank...compare to your old. My old ones had 3 fitting bugs on top. The new tanks come with 4 so spacing is different. I was able to reuse ( most) of my existing piping from fill and tank to tank. If you plan it right, might save 2 inch pipe fittings to have to buy. Only I had to change was 1 1/4 inch ripple from 6 inch to a 7 inch.

First tank arrived damaged and had to be returned. Replacement tank contained water and rust inside that had to be dealt with before tank could be installed. Only saving grace is that the customer service representative at the North Kingstown RI store that I dealt with for the replacement tank was excellent or otherwise this would have been a one star rating.

No scratches or dents.

It is a good replacement for my current tank, it was in stock which was great. Since I have no way to get it home the shipping was a great choice. The shipping was great as it can in a lot less time that was estimated.

NICE LOOKING TANK ,BUILT WELL NOT VERY HEAVY METAL CONSTRUCTION THOUGH THIS TANK STAYS INSIDE A BUILDING I WOULDN'T RECOMEND THIS IN THE OUTSIDE WEATHER WITHOUT HOUSING OF SOME SORT.

The product is great, the delivery process was horrible!!! It took 3 weeks to finally have it delivered after it sat in a trucking warehouse for 2 weeks before I am the one who started reaching out to HD about it's whereabouts. Horrible!!! Have it delivered to the store and pick it up yourself, save yourself a tone of extra leg work to find it!

It was dented when delivered.

Inside the tank was filthy!

Excellent service and quality product

My local HD stores these oil tanks outside, unprotected from weather. During installation, rusty water needed to be removed. I guess HD is in the business of selling replacement tanks, so they want the lifespan of the oil tank the sell you to be shortened.

Tank was ok. Should've had float valve and oil filter come with it. Had to buy that separate.

I'll be 70 in a few months and I removed old one and installed new in a day and a half by myself. Be aware old gauge may not be accurate, I had a lot more fuel oil remaining in the old tank than I thought, became interesting finding containers for it all!! Tank is 27" wide, MOST door openings are 28"+. New vent holes did not line up with old hole in wall, I had to use variety of 45 degree ellbows and street elbows and different length 11/4" pipe nipples, plus make hole in foundation a little bigger. Delivery driver did not have cardboard or blanket to put tank on, scatched one side greatly as he slid it the length of the large truck. Suggest you have cardboard ready. Delivered to end of driveway, which is long and had 4" of snow, interesting getting tank up to house by myself, ended up pushing it with my car, it slid on the snow nicely! GL Oh, and don't buy those 1/2" legs below on page, tank is tapped for 11/4" and legs from old tank should work fine.
