[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased this 2 months ago and am loving its quietness! Disappointed that a user and maintenance manual did not come with it. The regular cycle seems too long ( over 4 hours) and the quick cycle is preferred by us is only 1 and 1/2 hours but that cycle does not dry them as well! The fact that the dishwasher operating cycle info is on the door lid, it s difficult to read ( what you selected and where it is at in its cycle) because it is recessed under the granite.

I've been using this dishwasher for 4 years. Since then, the small plastic pieces have been breaking off, and more recently the top rack disconnected from one of the track wheels. Now I have to get it fixed before it completely falls down. I purchased all Whirlpool appliances when I renovated my kitchen, and I can honestly say in my next home, I will NOT be buying Whirlpool.

A plastic part breaks off the dish rack about once a month and I find myself using zip ties to keep the thing together. Really, really poor quality parts...

I love everything about this dishwasher EXCEPT the cheap grade plastic they used to make it. Within 9 months , 3 separate peices have all broken. And to order new ones costs $20 in shipping each time plus the outlandish prices of the items themselves. So I called Whirlpool and have been on hold for about an hour trying to get the latest casualty remedied (currently the top rack is falling off because it was stupidly held in place by a tiny plastic peice thats about 1/8 of an inch thick”

Love it my dirty dishes get clean and I love all the options. The sani rinse is a great feature.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We looked at many dishwashers and decided this model would do the job. We were excited when our local appliance store delivered and installed it. We were disappointed that it was shipped from the factory with a damaged front panel (see photos). That does not affect its performance and we are happy with the job it does cleaning our dishes, silverware, etc. We are waiting on the replacement panel to arrive and be installed. It is just a cosmetic problem but disappointing considering the considerable cost of the dishwasher. The good rating would have been an excellent rating if not for the damaged door panel. We are hopeful that the quality control will improve going forward.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quietest dishwasher ever. My second Whirlpool and never doubted this good choice. Love having silverware holder in door which leaves ample space to load dishes inside. Looks sleek and blends beautifully into my kitchen.

Bought this Dishwasher in June 2018, Controll panel broke in August 2019 had to call Whirlpool and pay $69 to have a repair tech come and replace the congrol panel, in July 2020 the controll panel broke again, I have to pay another $69 to replace the controll panel that was replaced in 2019. If the controll panel broke a month later I would also have to pay for a new contorl panel which will cost anotjer $200 plus the $69 repair service fee. DO NOT BUY this dishwasher. Other problems with the dishwasher include rust, soap scum even after using dishwasher cleaner which was suggested by whirlpool technician. There response to this is that the product is manmade so sometimes it has problems.

Once the dishwasher was finally installed I was quite pleased with it. It washes dishes like it should and it's QUIET! I mean... the one we had before I could hear from across the house. This one: I keep going in and checking to see that it's running... I can barely hear it standing in front of it! Very nice! I like the flexibility of the upper rack's height, too, allowing me to get taller glasses or larger items in the upper rack when needed.

Pros: Extremely quiet, cleans dishes well. Cons: The touch panel is a little tricky at times. Does not respond as well to wet hands.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My favorite feature is the built in handle. I’ve had other dishwashers with attached handles and after a while they became loose. The stainless steel tub and overall design is very sturdy. I’m also happy that it’s made in America.

So far we are loving this dishwasher. It looks attractive. It is super quiet. The dishes come out looking and smelling great. If I had to give a negative it is that the dishes don’t come out completely dry.

Dishwasher was easy to install. Is also much quieter than our old dishwasher. So far does a very nice job of cleaning dishes.

The washer seems to be very good and efficient, does the job , not sure about fingerprint resistant door. Problem starts install requires 24 in opening (standard) but the toe kick cover they supply is only 23in wide that leaves 1/2 in gap on both sides, for over $700 you shouldn’t have to remodel baseboard ! Don’t get me started on silverware basket (worthless) the openings are too small for most silverware & if you put knives on detergent dispenser side almost impossible to install basket on door & if you don’t & put them on other side not much easier, also very unbalanced if you do!

Pros - Nice looking, super quiet, cleans dishes good Cons - Handle sticks out far, preventing the kitty corner drawer from opening fully; I couldn't find an alternative low-profile handle to use - If you don't use heat dry, everything remains very wet, and the standing water starts to smell; we tried using a drying additive per the owners manual but had the same problem when not using heat dry; with our previous Whirlpool dishwasher we used "air dry" with no heat all the time and did not have this problem. Also if you are installing yourself, be sure to order the optional water supply line and drain hose recommended in the ordering process which I did; our old hoses were not compatible.

We’ve had the dishwasher for about a month now and other than needing to adjust the dry setting to extended setting, I‘ve needed no adjustments and it gets our Daily dishes squeaky clean!

Good: A month plus of ownership. Attractive profile, easy install, soft-latching door, enough cycle choices to suit demands, Cycle LED, easy-cleaning filter and interior space, good room for loading, hidden buttons are neat and effortless. Maybe:Start/Cancel function needs X-ray eyes to get on the first try. No: Utensil basket.Could use a wider profile.

Very quiet. I think the drawback to my dishwasher is that the controls are on the top of the door and I tend to touch them every time I open the door. Also the door is stiff, so I have to push it all the way open so I can pull out the bottom rack.

I compared several dishwasher features and prices plus decibel. Whirlpool WDTA50SAHZ id top control streak free model matching color with my Whirlpool Refrigerator and Gas Oven which I purchase from Home Depot This m/c has low decibel of 47, it does not make any sound while running, amazing. My old m/c Maytag was making lot of sound when running and pumping out water. I am very satisfied with this purchase and I got it in reasonable price of $528 which was cheaper than LG of similar features.

Working as expected and very quiet. Loved the shopping experience at Home Depot. Would definitely recommend this dishwasher to my friends and family.

I purchased this product in July 2019 from Home Depot, the initial quality was good and the features are great. After owning it for less than 10 months, the dishes would not clean after completing a cycle. I checked the filters/screens and everything was clean so I called Whirlpool. They had a certified tech come out a week later. The certified tech found that the motor was bad. I asked him if he had seen this before and he said "yes, I have replaced several motors in these units recently". It will take another week for me to get the part, so we have been without a dishwasher for two weeks and we have a broken motor that doesn't seem to be a rare issue for this Whirlpool model. The price and initial quality were good, but its not good when the product is less than a year old and it doesn't work. We only run the unit 1-2 times per week, we have very soft water, we have no kids, and we are very gentle with using it. I am thankful its under warranty but I don't feel confident going forward without the warranty.
