The pump is very quiet and works flawlessly. It is keeping our previously often flooded crawl space very dry. It was very easy to install.

Install was easy and performance has been impressive. Both pumps move the water as expected. Because I was replacing a pedestal Sump, I had to play with the height, but now it runs fewer times each hour and I think it saved us some money on the electric bill this month.

Easy install and the pump is so quiet I had to watch it to make sure it was pumping! A+ so far.

I had to change the piping a bit so it would fit in my sump pit but after testing a couple times it works great and the battery backup pump is a strong backup unit I am using a 90 amp hr marine deep cycle group 27 and does a good job

Everything went very well, however I got a 27 series deep cycle from the auto store, and unfortunately, the lid doesn't fit right. They have built the electronics into the lid of the battery box, which is nice, but it hits the top of the battery. There was also no strap to hold the lid closed, unusual for a battery box not to come with a strap.

Relatively easy to install. I had to buy a one-way check valve due to how my sump is configured. They are inexpensive and available at H.D. After testing the sump with water from our hose we have not had enough rain to trigger it on yet.

Very easy to install as it was already plumbed. The battery backup unit was also easy to hook up, well worth the money. I've only had it a month or so therefore I cannot comment on longevity.

After looking at other big box stores in our area the sump pumps were either made in China or had poor standard warranties. This particular system had good reviews and prior customers made the install seem easy. Upon opening the box I was pleasantly surprised to see it didn't have 20 additional parts with poor install instructions. Install maybe took 20 minutes at best and the pump is SUPER quiet. So far so good!

The pump system was super easy to install. The issue is I wish the back up pump had a longer power cord.

Needed to replace my noisy sump pump and really needed to have backup. decided to go with battery backup since I've heard it is safer than using the water backup option I considered. This was good since I could just connect to the line and both were handled. No special additional cutting was required. Other reviews say it is quiet. It really is. I was standing there watching it and with other noise in my basement going on I didn't hear it, but saw the water level drop. We have frequent power outages and if it is raining my basement can flood in 2 or 3 hours without pumping the sump. This solves that issue. 2 days after I installed, it rained, we lost power, and the backup worked with no issues. Almost as if we planned it.

The first pump was 'out of box failure'. The exchange to Home Depot was flawless. The second one arrived quickly and the installation was easy. Everything works fine. This was the best pump for our needs. I purchased an Interstate battery to use with pump. Very happy with purchase and the way that Home Depot makes exchanges.

I replaced a 13 year old working sump pump with the Wayne 1/2 hp battery backup Sump system . The pump is very quiet. The only critism I have is in regards to the installation directions that are included. They are for installing either the standard pump OR the 12 volt back up pump. There is not a set of directions for installing the system as shipped. It's relatively easy to install, but having a set of directions for the combination pumps system as shipped would make it easier and faster to install. This is why I gave if 4 stars instead of 5.

It seems well made and was easy to install. As others have mentioned it is very quiet. I will repost after some time has passed.

The existing battery back-up sump pump failed after several years. The pump housing split and did not pump water out adequately and, in addition, sprayed water everywhere. I researched replacement pumps with battery back-up systems and was impressed with this system's construction and ease of installation. You need to purchase the check valve which does not come with the system but makes the system run smoother and helps it last longer. Installation was under an hour. The system is so quiet that I have to check if it is indeed running at times. No more water spraying everywhere and peace of mind once again.

I had zero experience with sump pumps before buying my new home last Spring. This product was recommended by a friend. Extremely easy setup. I was about to hire a plumber to install until I saw how easy it was when I received it. It is self explanatory (instructions were not well written) and took me under an hour to install. I poured water into the sump pit and it activated without any issues (due to lack of rain so far I haven't seen it work under normal conditions). My builder previously installed a Ion pump which would kick on after about 4-6 inches of water was in the pit. The Wayne pump takes about 2-4 inches more water before kicking on. The battery backup float switch sits up higher and requires more water in the pit before activating. When it does activate an alarm sounds letting you know that your primary pump is not working (because of power outage or pump failure.

This system was very easy to install. Took less than an hour.

Our sump pump runs a lot, and we had an inexpensive pump installed by our builder. It worked fine, but was a bit noisy with a big clunk each time it stopped pumping. Tried a clunkless check valve, but didn't help much. Also worried about a power outage. Have a generator, but didn't want to have to run it all night just for sump pump. This kit was very easy to install, is a nice heavy duty pump, and took care of both my issues. It is extremely quiet when running. The clunk is just about gone too - think it helps to have the check valves right down by the pump, so they're down in my sump pit. Picked up a deep cycle battery, and the backup pump does a great job pumping as well. Glad to have this system in place, I'm confident it will last for quite a few years.

Wayne pump installed easy and seems to be of good quality. Shipping was fast and arrived in good shape. Haven't had a power failure yet to observe the back up feature, but I'm sure it will be better than no backup. It does give some peace of mind when not home that you will be protected.

Good Pump - bit expensive. Quiet and efficient. Does the job.

Easy to install right out of the box. Place the pump in the sump pit, make your pvc drain line connections, put your new deep cycle marine battery in the battery box (battery not included). Now, make the wire connections to the battery box and battery. The wiring is also very simple to follow. Plug it in and your done. Bought my battery at my local Walmart just in case it was defective, I could easily return it and get another one. Very quiet operation. Battery back up is a necessity!

This pump was a nice kit and went in fairly easily. I have an application where the pump runs about every 6 minuets for months at a time, so we will know in short order how the quality is. The good news is that the pumps are separate so you can replace the main pump while still keeping your back up system parts if you have to. This was a great value I hope the quality is there as well.

Bought one 1.5 years ago for my softner pit, works great, very quiet. My main sump pit pump started getting noisy and also wanted battery back up so bought another one. Very easy to install, extremely quiet, had to check pit numerous time because I cannot hear it run from upstairs.
