I'm so glad I bought this mower! It's built solid and should last a long time. The main reason I bought this mower is because it has engine speed control. Most mowers do not have that feature anymore. We have areas of our back yard that are dirt with patches of grass and I like to throttle down the engine speed in those areas so dirt isn't flying around creating big clouds of dust. This mower starts right up and run great. Plenty of power too. Could not be happier. We have used it three times now and no problems at all.

I retired last September. I have never bought a new lawn mower. Always purchased used, or picked up one on trash day and refurbished it. Decided to treat myself with a new one and compared lawn mowers last fall. Reading the reviews, the Weibang seemed to good to be true, I don't remember a single review that was less than exemplary. Anyway, I ordered it last November. It sat in my garage all winter. I finally got around to cutting my lawn last week. ( that first cutting sneaks up on ya ). My grass was over 12" high in most of the lawn. Can you say Tank ? This thing pulled itself through the grass without a hint of bogging down, and no clumps of grass. The last time that happened was when I had an old Gravely walk behind. You will not see the Weibang mowers on the floor at Home Depot as the other brands are none to happy, Every time I see a customer checking out the mowers I tell them about the Weibang and urge them to go to the web site. I payed around $480 for the 3in1 model last November. Looks like they are around $550 now. Worth every penny !

I've owned many different brands of mowers and this one is hands down the best. The build quality is extremely good and, as others have stated, it seems like everything is almost overbuilt. It started on the first pull every time I have used it (even the first time). The mower arrived at the store three days after it was ordered online. I called Weibang to inquire if synthetic oil can be used (yes, it can) and the customer service was outstanding. - Easy Starting - Built Like a Tank - Fantastic Customer Service - 5 Year Warranty What's not to like - I highly recommend it!

Research, research, research. That is the key to finding the perfect mower. It took a long time to find the perfect mower, with so many brand names and some new contenders. I chose the $450.00 Weibang over the $400.00 Honda, but when you place the spec’s of each mower brand side by side: the Weibang is a clear winner. As the age old adage states, "you get what you pay for." In short, a quality piece of equipment. I chose the Weibang mower for many reasons; it had features that I wanted. It is rated to handle mowing up to 2 Acres (not ¼ to ½ that most mowers are), it holds a ½ gallon of gas, has single handle height adjustment, has a heavy duty 3 Speed Professional Transmission, 21 inch steel cutting deck, it’s quality made product that Weibang back that up with an outstanding 5 year warranty too. Tom Bullen the national sales manager of from Weibang, enclosed a personally addressed letter along with my new mower, and I have to say it's a rare thing these days to have a company so involved in their products. He addressed my concerns of parts availability and service. “Replacement parts are available through our company directly – you can give us call or email: parts@weibangusa.com” “We are currently expanding our dealer/ service network across the country; however, if your mower does need repair in the near future ( which it won’t) we will be able to connect you with a local dealer or equipment service center that will be able to work on your mower. Our website is being updates as we speak. There will be a sections to order parts on there as well.” Took it out of the box today, all I can say is this thing is a beast. My first mow was against grass that was easily a foot tall and my new mower cut straight through it like it wasn't there. The mower is solidly built; the motor is strong and works well with this package. I think I have a pretty average size front and back yard and this mover knocks it out and is asking for more. Starts easily, cuts evenly. You can pull it backwards without any problem so it’s easy to get out of awkward spaces. Can use it with or without the self propel no problem. The self propel feature will take you for a ride while popping a wheelie at first, the rear wheel drive takes a bit of getting use to; I found that just by starting to roll the mover and get moving then engaging the self propelled worked the best for me. My mower was initially delivered to Home Depot in MI, thankfully they sent it on to San Angelo. The mower was well packaged, and no damage was received due to the additional shipping. The mower is mostly assembled then only needing oil and gas and away you go. It doesn't get any easier than that. So far I have no complaints. Love the fact that you can adjust all the wheel heights at once. You have to change the oil after the first five hours or month of use which is standard when purchasing any mower. I'm a bargain shopper, but this model is well worth the extra money.

Better than I expected! After numerous web searches for mowers, countless trips to stores to be disappointed in the offerings. I came across this mower...never heard of it. A little research reveals quite an interesting story. So instead of another Toro mower or a Husqie, I thought what the heck. A little pricey, but hey I am a gambling sort of fella. I wish! Anywho, I ordered, It showed up earlier than stated, picked it up, unboxed it, added engine oil and some hi octane distillates! Ok, son its ready! It fires up first tug of the rope! After a couple of laps on the ole weed patch we call a front yard, I check the bag and much to my surprise it was empty. So at that point I lift the grass shoot and notice the mulch plug! DOH! pop the mulch plug out an away we go! Very nice cut, plenty of power, easy to start, very well built. The height adjustment is by far the best I have seen yet, soooo easy. OK, so the only complaint, the self propel on its slowest will drag you across the yard! So, our third use today, and happy as can be. Cuts great, tons of power, if you need a good mower get one. You will be happy you did, I know I am!

So, I've never heard of this one before, but I was tired of messing with the other brands, always disappointed. Looks and feels heavy duty, and if the mower is half as good as the customer service than I'll never buy another brand again! Tom Bullen, National Sales Manager, called me back within 15 minutes of leaving a message. He seems very sincere and cares about his products. GO WEIBANG! #weibang

Wow. THIS MOWER! Okay, so lawn machines have always been our thing. We always wanted to buy the best we could afford over the years, not just for performance, but I admit, keeping up with the Joneses a bit too. We have pretty much had them all and been so disappointed. We owned an extremely expensive "yellow mower" with the initials CC, it was a nightmare. It lasted less than 3 years and had over 4 different parts repaired during that time. Our last was a Snapper, we were hoping for a powerhorse miracle. It barely mowed our flat small California yard, but when we just moved a few months ago to South Carolina it couldnt mow our new 3/4 of an acre hilled yard at all. It started bogging down on hills and dumping oil. Our local SC repair shop said he wouldn't advise putting money into that inferior of a built product. Jeez. OK. That brings us to WEIBANG. We laughed out loud at the name. C'mon now. Then we started researching what we could find out about this company in other countries. Impressive! We decided to roll the dice and order. Its like getting a new HumVee, or a Harley for your lawn. Its really a beast. We have NEVER seen anything built so well AND designed to be 100% user friendly...every detail thought out. We have never seen the spin lever latch locks for user height before...awesome!! We LOVE the ONE handle cut height adjustment. The double cut pulverizes the grass so fine we have hardly any clippings as before, wth? THE HILLS in our yard. What hills? LOL! 196cc? It feels like 296cc. Its so powerful I had to back the power way down at some spots or I was kind of like a helium balloon behind it. lol. Even the VERY FIRST pull start was a breeze. Advice: I downloaded the manuals from the HomeDepot website because the current ones in the box are not as user friendly. I bought a huge container of the recommended oil and it says the engine takes .6L for sake of ease thats 2.5 cups. It said expect smoke on first use, I didnt have any. We are super excited about this new mower and will update the review if anything changes. Now we are really interested in more of the Weibang product line.

I replaced a 7hp Briggs & Stratton Craftsman that blew a head gasket. It was several years old and I used it to assist a lawn tractor on 2 acres of lawn. The tractor was broken down as well and I wanted a pushmower that could cover all 2 acres on its own when needed(like now). I waited to long to order this and my grass grew very very tall. Given the other reviews I figured I would take the chance on this unknown. The mower came without oil(installed or in the box) and only needed the drive bar installed(no tools for this) and oil added to get cutting. The mechanism that adjusts the height of the push bar is very easy and requires no tools and can be done with one person. Likewise the grass height wheel adjustment is a single lever and also very easy to operate with a single person. Because my grass was tall I placed the side chute on(tool free operation) and set to cut at the tallest level. The machine felt complete with high quality material and high quality control build. I was very impressed by this mower before I even started cutting. After an hour or so of making it work(without so much as a cough) I decided to try a bit of mulching my tall Midwest grass. Keeping it the high setting I pulled the chute off and it was handled over a foot of thick weedy grass flawlessly. The drive wheels are in the rear and have several settings for speed. I'm 6ft tall and relatively athletic and kept up easily on all speeds. When the speed was set at it's highest setting it seemed to lose a slight quality in cut while using the side chute. I could not see any difference in my lawn changing speeds like mulching, it was a very good cut at any speed. Even with the side chute on the difference wasn't so significant that I slowed it down at all after the initial test. I wish I could test the shaft drive model because it must be rated for rain forest mulching, as this one doesn't seem like it could be better. In summary. This machine is a beast and cut thick grass well over a foot tall in areas. I highly recommend it. I purchased this off the Home Depot site and the shipment came within 3 days.

This was a great investment! It knocks down tall grass and keeps on trucking. It hasn't died on me once yet, and I have some adverse obstacles throughout my entire yard. I really love using this mower. If the self propelled function ever went out, I'd be in trouble, because it is heavy, but I think that is a common issue.

Well, after spending an hour writing a mostly VERY positive review with pictures I was told that there was a ‘technical problem’ and they couldn’t accept my review. The mower is almost overbuilt. Buy it.

The worst consumer experience I have ever had
Purchased in August 2020. Use about 12-15 times per year for a residential lawn of no significance. Have had it repaired 4 times already. Twice because it would not start. Twice because it needed a new belt for the self propel mechanism. Today on the third mow of the season and second mow after the latest repair the starter cord just pulled right out. This product is miserable buy any other brand.

                      Problems with my mower.
The mower appears to be well built and does a great job of mowing when I can keep it running. I broke belt 1 after 8 uses, belt 2 after 20 uses and belt 3 after 30 minutes. I have about .25 acres of flat yard to mow and expected this mower to last. It is also difficult to cold start but starts fine when warm. I have owned this mower for about 14 months, most of it spent not running. Home Depot would not do work on mower under manufactures warranty which is a 5 year residential warranty.

                            Don't waste your money
Belt keeps coming off. Self propel stops. Now can't start it. 1 year old piece of garbage. Customer service is a guy in Chicago who tells you he's going to help and then you never hear from him again. When it runs it is a great mower, but when it doesn't, which is almost every time now, it's a piece of garbage, a hunk of junk. a ridiculous waste of money which neither the vendor or Home Depot stands behind.

This mower is extremely well built. Its obvious that every detail and feature was well thought out and engineered in a way to be easy and comfortable to use while designed to be as durable and long lasting as possible. I've used a lot of mowers over the years and this by far it the best self propelled mower I've used or owned. I see no reason (with proper care and maintenance) that this thing wont last me for years and years to come. You won't regret this purchase.

Self-Propel Broke in 6-Months - No Warranty Repair Option
I purchased this mower from Home Depot in April 2020. I chose it because it was supposed to have a powerful motor and self-propel feature. From the beginning the self-propel was underwhelming. I'd have to put it to maximum speed just to have it crawl along. That was disappointing. I used it for the summer to mow my yard. Before the end of the season, the self-propel stopped working. My local Home Depot will not repair. I contacted Weibang USA twice for an alternative warranty service option. They said they would get back to me but never do. So now I am stuck with a heavy lawnmower that doesn't self-propel and neither Home Depot nor Weibang will honor the warranty or repair. The 5-year customer warranty is a fiction if no one will actually do repairs.

Self propel drive belt continues to jump off all the time and recently wore through and broke because something wasn't turning and wore down the belt in one place. I have tried repeatedly to get warranty service to no avail. Note, this unit has a 5 year warranty but it is impossible to get anyone to help on this matter. There is no contact info so you have to research on line to find someone to talk to. I finally found someone who would contact me back but they only said they were trying to find a repair shop that would look at it. That was 3 weeks ago. It is obscene to offer a five year warranty and not having anyway to fulfill the warranty obligations. Next step is to go back to customer service at home depot. They sold it so they should take some responsibility.

I noticed a difference with this mower right away.
First off the throttle cable took me back to the days i started mowing back in the 80's .... loved it. Second the 7 speed drive is great....I mowed today and i was in gear....Monday......I will try 2nd gear tommorow...I renamed it Tuesday. ... great pace....I could keep up my feet aching from working....Mower does have a noticeable weight difference pros of that the mower doesn't bounce up and down on the lawn gives nice even cut. Cons...the weight makes you work a little bit to maneuver in tight areas...almost wonder what swivel casters on the front would do. You do have to choke it to start but I was just pulling the cord to cycle the engine nothing to serious and it roared to life....Now it says 3 in 1 but if you pull the plug it will rear discharge too. I have owned many types of push mowers and I want to get the commercial version of this and if i get the chance to I will.

                                    it has some drawbacks
Its true! this mower is SOLIDLY built, runs great, cuts very nicely! BUT, thats not without some tradeoffs. this thing is very heavy. its thick steel frame provides durability, but don't try mowing on soft ground, It will leave ruts. The only true negative opinion i have with this machine is maintenance. There is no drain plug on the bottom so you have to "old school" it by emptying the fuel and tilting the machine on its side to drain the oil. Im not a fan of that. Also, the only place I've been able to find an air filter for its Loncin 196cc engine is at Weibang that charges a ridiculous $15 plus $15 shipping making your hard to find air filter cost $30. This has me nervous when i need replacement parts. If you want a solid, nice running machine that should last a long time, this is the safe bet. If ease and cost of maintenance is a concern, you may want to look elsewhere.
